Find Best Price at Amazon"The light grip mat is particularly handy, I use it with construction paper, and when I'm doing drawing-only designs on light cardstock (if I use the medium grip mats when only drawing, it's hard to get a whole sheet of cardstock up without bending it). You can also turn your mat around and put it in backwards, and there are ways to get lint off your mat, and to re-sticky your not-so-sticky old mats. In my particular case, the construction paper needed a light grip mat, and custom settings. The setting for construction paper wasn't good enough, so I used the construction paper setting, but cut it 3 times (two times wasn't quite enough)."

"I read that this was good if you had arthritis so I figured what the hey...I'm not getting any younger so I bit the bullet and bought it on Amazon. I read a review about it not being accurate; I don't know what they were doing to cause this outcome because I cut my 2 1/2 in strips with much more accuracy than with the rotor. Also it is a little confusing when looking at the different 'pictures' on the AccuQuilt Go fabric cutters; One has the green cover with a picture of the Go! I would strongly suggest that you make sure you get the 55100 which has the most recent version of the cutter to get the smoother and easier crank handle. Your family will be happy because now they will have a list of dyes to choose from for gift giving to you ;-) Any lastly, yes it is a bit heavy but being so it stays put very nicely when in use."

I also wanted one with anti-slip grips and protection for my pressing index finger in case I accidentally slipped. I also wanted the blade to extend and retract via squeezing and releasing of the handle so I did not have to use the lock. But by the same token, I wanted to still have a lock in case I was doing funny shaped turns and cuts. I'm not there yet, but if I reach that point, I will not have to replace my cutter with one that is more arthritis friendly if I think and plan for it now. Finally, I wanted a good brand name for warranty, blade replacement and durability. Pair this with a cutting mat and a long straight edge ruler, and you are good to go and go fast.
