Remove a vehicle’s worst imperfections quickly with professional grade Meguiar’s M105 Ultra-Cut Compound. A Few Tips About Applying M105 Ultra-Cut Compound Compounds should be applied to small areas at a time, when working either by hand, with a dual action polisher such as Meguiar's G110v2 Dual Action Polisher, or with a rotary polisher. Keep the following points in mind when working with any compound like Meguiar's M105 Ultra-Cut Compound: compounds do not need to dry before removing and in fact should be wiped off immediately after working them over the finish. Dispense a small amount of Meguiar’s M105 Ultra-Cut Compound Compound directly onto a foam applicator pad or a small, clean 100% cotton terry towel. Follow up with any Meguiar’s polish and wax, like M205 Ultra Finishing Polish and Ultimate Wax. Turn on the Meguiar’s DA Polisher and begin buffing using light to moderate pressure in an overlapping pattern while keeping the pad flat against the paint at all times. Apply additional Ultra-Cut Compound as needed until defects have been removed. Follow up with any Meguiar’s polish and wax, like M205 Ultra Finishing Polish and Ultimate Wax. Attach the appropriate wool or foam cutting pad to the rotary polisher and set the tool speed to 1600-1800rpm for light scratches and swirls, 1200-1600rpm for moderate scratching and swirling. Apply a bead of M105 directly to the paint surface and begin working in a 2’ x 2’ area with overlapping passes. For final polishing, choose the appropriate Meguiar’s foam pad and any Meguiar’s polish, such as M205 Ultra Finishing Polish. Great for removing scratches, defects, acid rain and severe swirls/holograms.

I was underwhelmed by the Home Right product, but the Critter Gun has exceeded my expectations. The quality of my painted projects with the Critter is good, but it's not professional, by any means. For instance, the vanity and cabinet drawers that I sprayed look good, but they are far from flawless. You can buy a cheap, tiny one from somewhere like Harbor Freight, or you can buy a compressor combo kit (which would include a nail gun and a staple gun) from Home Depot (that's what I did a couple years ago; I have felt it was a worthwhile investment). Pros (vs. Home Right Sprayer): - setup and cleanup are faster and easier with the Critter. Ideally, choose one that has an elastic band that would hold the strainer in place on top of the Mason Jars. - use Floetrol (sold at all big box home improvement stores) to thin out latex-based paint. - ideally, have your subject pieces laid flat down on the ground, rather than vertical against a wall."
"Bought this little gun to spray some kitchen cabinets with oil based paint and am now a true devotee of this little green critter. We also generally add a couple drops of Japan Dryer. - pour your paint through a paint strainer into the mason jar. - Set your compressor to deliver about 25 lbs pressure as a starting point (this gun doesn't take much). - Put on your breathing gear (seriously, don't spray paint without a proper mask on). - Start spraying onto a scrap piece of wood or cardboard to make fine adjustments. If the coverage seems a bit sparse, then slowly increase the pressure to the sprayer a pound a tiny bit at a time. Have a second mason jar with some mineral spirits in it, attach it to the sprayer and spray into a cardboard box until it's clear of paint (about 6 or 7 short bursts), then take a paper towel with a little mineral spirits on it and wipe the brass parts of the sprayer down to get any paint off. We've uploaded a picture of one of our custom bathroom wall cabinets that was painted using this critter sprayer so you can get an idea of the finish quality."

"for DIY folks who want a reliable clearcoat but do not want the hassle or price paid for getting an auto body shop to clear for you. I did my prior research on this and other suitable aerosol clear coats and none matched the quality of this product. This isn't your run of the mill rattle can from autozone or home depot and even if it was, you shouldn't be using aerosol spraycans, especially Spraymax 2k in your garage/basement/bedroom unless it is set up properly for ventilation. To activate the hardener, shake vigorously for about 2min, remove the attached red button press, turn the can upside down and place the red button on the activator switch (totally made up the name for that part). You won't really get any notification that you did it right other than a slight click, but if you did, the red button will stay in place. People fail to remember that surface preparation as well as outside temperature play a huge role in the outcome of your finish."
