In the video you will notice the motor does smoke quite a bit when the bike is sitting still. I am a pretty hefty person and the motor has no problem getting up to full speed and pushing the bike in the high 20's to low 30's MPH . I waited till I had a 100 miles on the motor before I started using the locktight to give the screws and cables time to stretch. I had to do the same thing....30 secs later the motor was up and running Overall this was a really fun project that you will be very proud to complete. Make sure to take a bike lock with you when you go places since you will draw a lot of attention."
"I could ride almost anywhere I pleased,I had mine on a 28 inch Raleigh mountain bike and I could hit 35 40 mph the second to third day of having it ( after break in periode I rode 45 to 50 miles a day). When hunting for a motorized bike you can get ripped off easy I've bought about 6 different ones from various undisclosed companies... make the story short they were junk un modifiable or bolts would break easy."
"2) When installing the throttle cable, install one end of the cable on the plunger inside the carburetor FIRST, then attach the other end to your bike handle. If you're having a hard time getting it going and you want the satisfaction of hearing the engine start, remove the carburetor (just have it dangling and out of the way) and the little tube that connects the carb to the engine. I found the gasket between the engine block and that tube that connects the carb to the engine to be a little lacking (I don't remember why, maybe a part of it was damaged). Also, I'm finding that the bike actually starts better with the choke fully open (which is good since you don't have to reach down for it after the bike starts)."
