"A full container isn't that heavy, about 13.5 lbs, to carry with the single handle and to dump. I have a very large basement that had a high humidity of 60-70% or so it would fill the 13.1 container pints within the day, 12-24 hours. It works best in warmer weather (70's) which is when the humidity is high and mold can grow, warm and moist. I used the bucket for about 2 weeks to try it out and then I switched to the continuous drain tube which I connected a piece of clear vinyl tube (1 1/4 inch outer dia, 1 inch inner dia) from Home Depot which I connected to a "T" connector that I installed on my A/C condensation line that runs outside."
"I will never purchase another Fridgidaire product due to poor quality control and inept customer service, and the replacement dehumidifier that I purchase will always have the extended warranty through Amazon from here on out."
"The humidity sensor must be placed in the reservoir, because as soon as the fan clicks off, the humidity readout immediately starts climbing quickly. The poor sensor placement in the design makes the unit think it is 55% when it truly isn't. So it will click off at 45, then 10 min later it thinks its 55, the unit will click on, and immediately when the air flow is resumed, the sensor sees that its not as high as it thought, and you'll see the readout drop quickly back down. This unit could actually use a ton less energy if the sensor was placed in a location to get more accurate readings (maybe in a isolated chamber with vents directly outside of the unit, instead of INside the unit where all the water is collecting?)."

I do recommend 48 hours after delivery not to turn it on and just let it stand upright to allow the compressor gas/oil to adjust as needed - I don'[t know why they don't have on the box : KEEP UPRIGHT with arrows for shipping and don't understand why at stores you will see them stocked on their side or even upside down!"
"I'll help you out with a supplement: FOR CONTINUOUS DRAINING: The clear Drain Hose comes already connected to the Drain Hose Adapter. As you push the clear Drain Hose onto the Drain Tube (which they're calling the "Connector" on Page 8), make certain the two small slots in the Drain Hose Adapter stay aligned with the two holes next to the Drain Hose Outlet on the back panel. DRAIN HOSE ADAPTER SCREWS: There probably won't be any screws in the bucket, as they claim on Page 8, so you'll have to scrounge up two small round head screws."
"Using this dehumidifier in our basement and the humidity level went from 89% to 55% in about 8 hours."
"My basement has always been very humid and I finally decided to purchase a dehumidifer I had a very hard time deciding on which size to go with so I just finally decided to a pay little extra for the 50 pint but save a little by buying from an open box deal from the Amazon warehouse."
"Then what compounds the situation is having to take the drain tube off in order to use the reservoir when an occasion arises to move the dehumidifier into a room that temporarily needs it and where there is no drain: then one has to remove the 2 screws which hold the tube in place and then, after use in the room with no drain, get the hose back onto the unit and put the screws back in."
