"I'm giving this a 5 star rating although it really deserves a 4.5 (but that's not an option) I am pretty old to the waxing game (I wax myself and my VERY close friends). There's a certain thickness for hard wax to work at it's best BUT that is a known quality of hard wax NOT this wax. Hard wax is not for everyone, waxing yourself in general is not for everyone so if you can't handle the subtle wax smell... Don't wax. Another wax I have tried is "Satin Smooth Calendula Gold Hard Wax" also a 3 star wax. And last but not least the classic "GIGI Brazilian Body Hard Wax" I'll give this one a 4 because it was the first wax I used and it's a pretty safe and classic beginner wax."

I followed instructions and set it on 100 for 15 minutes (it says this is the average time) and then when I lifted the lid after the timer went off the beads were still in bead form but slowly melting, so I bumped it up to 160 and came back 4 minutes later and they were about 75% melted, so I bumped it to 185 and they were melted in less than 2 minutes. I used the entire bag of beads for both legs."

"I bought this to use on myself and, yes, it takes a lot of acrobatic skills, especially since I'm not exactly the thinnest of women. It comes with everything you need except for something to sit on while you do your business(I used an old t shirt; puppy pads or old towels or others would work just fine). I start by turning on the wax warmer (Don't forget the clear plastic lid on the wax can) and leaving it for about 30-45 minute on high, covered by the orange dome. Watch the disc and follow the general instructions: apply generous amount of wax WITH the direction of hair growth, wait for it to barely dry, flick upward against the base of the wax(toward the tip of the hair), pull parallel (not perpendicular) against hair growth while holding skin as taunt as possible. I find that when it's honey color when it's dried, that's a thick enough layer."
