"So before I went any further, I bought a copy of Richard LaMotte's renowned book "Pure Sea Glass: Discovering Nature's Vanishing Gems" on the advice of a longtime collector and jewelry maker. A major added attraction is that there are over 150 exquisite and elegant photographs by Celia Pearson included here, presenting some of the beat specimens ever collected, along with a vast array of classical glassware from around the world that is often its source. The book is a comprehensive guide, chock full of information on finding and identifying these gems, the bits of aged glass, enhanced by years beneath the sea or caught in the tides that wash our coasts. After a recent hurricane I made a day trip to Montauk, NY, and actually found some wonderful pieces on the beach at low tide - one a real jewel!"

"For the price of less than one thick, fancy bookmark, I got twelve beautiful ones. Sure they're thinner, but I actually think many bookmarks are too thick so they end up falling out of the book, and I had been trying to find thinner ones for a while, but didn't even know if they existed. Of course, I wouldn't recommend these for unusually thick books, like dictionaries, art books, hardcovers with a whole lot of pages, etc."
"I'm glad I didn't pay much for them, but they make great tracers when I read and great economical book marks."
"They work for me!"
"These bookmarks are small and come in a little booklet and you tear each out, one by one, each bookmark."
"I actually thought this was for coloring yourself, but they are beautiful."
"nice little booklet of beautiful book marks to insert into cards."
"not as I expected - these are perforated bookmarks that have to be peeled off a sheet ."

Find Best Price at Amazon"I'm just getting started collecting Griswold cast iron, and I bought this guide recently because I wanted some sort of reference point for assessing cast iron at auctions, flea markets, antique malls, etc. But, I get the impression from what I'm seeing in the marketplace that, whether due to this book itself or due to the market for cast iron, the prices quoted are still fairly accurate for most pieces. The authors do give full pricing and photograhic information for those makes, but they don't really give any information about why they exist or why they don't say "Griswold" on them. Favorite, Sidney Hollow-ware, and Wapak don't get nearly the attention that Griswold and Wagner get in this book, but I get the impression that those companies weren't as successful and didn't have quite the diversity of products in the first place that Griswold or Wagner did."
"This is a very good reference book for Griswold, Wagner, Wapak and Favorite vintage cast iron."
"No collector of cast ironware should ever go without a book to reference them with."
"As someone new to restoring, using and collecting cast iron this "blue book" is very helpful."
"I recently purchased a Big Green Egg grill and have been looking forward to cooking with iron skillets."
"Husband loves the book as he is into cast iron cookware in a big way."
"I bought this for my boyfriend for his birthday in September and he hasn't put it down yet."
"Although it's a bit outdated in what the pieces are worth, its give you an estimate of what your cast iron it's worth and when it was manufactured."

BOXES & TREEN (Pages 232-250). CLOCKS, WATCHES & SCIENTIFIC INSTRUMENTS (Pages 251-285). MUSIC BOXES (Pages 286-287). SILVER & METALWARE (Pages 288-312). GLASS (Pages 313-320). "It is noted also that the prices in the book are what you can expect to pay if purchasing one of these items either in an auction or collectibles shop. Also interesting is a little overall analysis at the beginning of each section taking on the overall current value and popularity of the category."
"Miller's Price Guides are meant to be cumulative in nature, meaning they don't cover exactly the same categories every year. With the enduring popularity of TV programs like "The Antiques Roadshow" and "Storage Wars", I'm sure many people are also purchasing this handbook looking for that hidden treasure. There are approximately six to eight pieces detailed on each page, with each item featuring a full color photo, a short description, dimensions, price range in US Dollars, along with a three character source code that identifies the auction house or collector from where the photograph originated. Throughout the book there are numerous "ESSENTIAL REFERENCE" and "CLOSER LOOK" insets featuring historical and other details about the various categories and subcategories."
