Most of all, though, the years were filled with music being made. But you’ll also find a few recordings that we’ve never shared, some of my favorites.

"It is deeply personal and like everything Garth Brooks does, it has integrity."
"My wife just loves looking through the book as she listens to his songs."
"Great book and love the CDs included."
"It is put together so well and is stored in a protective jacket."
"This sure lets you know Garths feelings and history ."
"Never before released tracks, such as, the first cut of That Summer and Tony Arata's demo of The Dance are something everybody should hear!"
"I got my sister and brother each one and they absolutely love them!"

He has written some of country music's greatest classics: Crazy, Pretty Paper, Funny How time Slips Away among others. This is a book for Willie Nelson fans and when you read it you will have more of an appreciation for this man and his music."
"'Night Life, 'Crazy' and 'Hello Walls, three of Willie Nelson's most wonderful and long lasting songs were almost sold for five dollars a piece. Brought up by his grandparents in the little Texas town they lived in, he and his sister had a wonderful childhood. Willie was always active, an athlete, loved the music he learned from Church, but when he was offered money to play honky tonk in a bar, he took it. He moved around a lot, every small and large town in Texas, Oregon, California, and then he traveled to Nashville where his life turned around. We hear all the stories, the people he met who helped him on his way from birth to this present day. No matter this is a rollicking, good read by a musician and song writer extraordinaire."
"Willie has led an interesting life, one for which the word “picaresque” might have been invented."
"I learned so much about his early struggles, things I was totally unaware off."
"I've been a musical fan since the Stardust days and over the years realized that he had written an awful lot of good songs enroute to fame and fortune."
"Took awhile to read this many pages,(It's a long story) but very entertaining and informative."
"Always been a fan of Willie and to hear him describe his adventures in no nonsense terms makes me respect the man even more."
"I would recommend any one who likes music and is familiar with many of the older songs and muscians to buy this book. I am ordering another book for my son who grew up listening to Willie and other muscians of his time whether he wanted to or not."
The love story of Joey and Rory. In this vulnerable book, he takes us for the first time into his own challenging life story and what it was like growing up in rural America with little money and even less family stability. In This Life I Live , Rory Feek helps us not only to connect more fully to his and Joey’s story but also to our own journeys. As an artist, Rory is half of the Grammy-nominated county music duo Joey + Rory.

I think the book could have been even more thoroughly developed regarding his later childhood years (the ones he can remember the most) and mid-adulthood, and the end of the book is a bit abrupt, even though it concludes nicely."
"Rory proves that there is a path to happiness for anyone who is struggling with the loss of loved ones and unusually challenging times."
"This book will show you inside the lives of these two people and the people who touched their world."
"This is an excellent read and I highly recommend it to young and old alike; men and women."
"As a fan of Joey and Rory, I enjoyed this book very much."
"If you followed Joey Martin & Rory Feek's story at all, you likely had questions about Rory's life before joining forces with Joey."
"This book was read in 2 days... And that's ONLY because I have other responsibilities!"
"I can relate to this story, I lost my husband to cancer almost 2 years ago."

Now, in Without Getting Killed or Caught: The Life and Music of Guy Clark , writer, producer, and music industry insider Tamara Saviano chronicles the story of this legendary artist from her unique vantage point as his former publicist and producer of the Grammy-nominated album This One’s for Him: A Tribute to Guy Clark . With eloquent clarity, Hitchens frames the argument for a more secular life based on science and reason, in which hell is replaced by the Hubble Telescope's awesome view of the universe, and Moses and the burning bush give way to the beauty and symmetry of the double helix. All the same, this is salutary reading as a means of culling believers' weaker arguments: that faith offers comfort (false comfort is none at all), or has provided a historical hedge against fascism (it mostly hasn't), or that "Eastern" religions are better (nope). Sam Harris' The End of Faith (2005) and Richard Dawkins' The God Delusion (2006) have questioned the existence of any spiritual being and met with enormous success. Replace religious faith with inquiry, open-mindedness, and the pursuit of ideas, he exhorts. Religious faith, he asserts, is both result and cause of dangerous sexual repression. Believers will be disturbed and may even charge him with blasphemy (he questions not only the virgin birth but the very existence of Jesus), and he may not change many minds, but he offers the open-minded plenty to think about.

"It's not easy reading, but there are great points that I've not considered before."
"It is a good book but it is pretty much a rant."
"Christopher Hitchens lays out numerous clear arguments supported by history and logic why religion is a negative force in our world."
"Ultimately, faced with what the author presents, the reasonable human being can only come to one conclusion...When we as a species shed the disillusionment of faith based nonsense can we truly move forward."
"This is an extremely well-written deconstruction of popular myths about religion, the main one being that it provides a solid "moral foundation" for believers."
"Hitchens is articulate, rational in his arguments, and his points are very compelling."
"Makes a good case for organized religion doing more harm than good."
