Reviews
"Like all travel guides, some things have changed since publication, but this guide is recent and therefore generally current."
"We had a total immersion visit, and the author has it exactly correct: while both sides are wonderful, you get a more intimate, visceral experience of the falls on the American side (Cave of the Winds, Crows Nest, and the Maid of the Mist is a smaller scale boat than the Canadian Hornblower ship)."
"It tells you when is the best time to visit & when to stay away, which is very helpful."
"Joel Dombrowski's "Niagara Falls" is the best travel guide I have purchased this year."
"We just came back from a three-day vacation to Niagara Falls, and planned our entire stay around this book."
"I would recommend this book to anybody visiting the falls."
"I also recommended booking your tour through Joel."
"Once again Joel brings facts/travel/vacation/history and humor to answer the question "what will we do in Niagara Falls?"."

"I guess, bottom line, I didn't think Vancouver had enough to do to deserve its own book--better to just read a chapter on it in a travel book that covers a wider area."
"Stanley Park for instance, closed their kids petting zoo/farm years ago."
"Used this handy pocket guide on our trip to Canada."
"The organization of the topics are a little odd. Some of the "see page xx" references are not correct, the editor messed up on the cross referencing of topics."

Missing 411-Western United States & Canada: Unexplained Disappearances of North Americans that have never been solved
The Eastern version will be released in late March and will include a list of all missing people in each edition and a concluding chapter that draws both books together for conclusions. Some of the issues that are discussed in each edition: • The National Park Service attitude toward missing people • How specific factors in certain cases replicate themselves in different clusters • Exposing cases involving missing children that aren’t on any national database • Unusual behavior by bloodhounds/canines involved in the search process • How storms, berries, swamps, briar patches, boulder fields and victim disabilities play a role in the disappearance • The strategies of Search and Rescue personnel need to change under specific circumstances Major news organizations do a deplorable job of covering stories and issues which are deemed too unusual or too far outside the box. At a minimum, this story deserves space on the front page of every newspaper in the country, and it warrants a formal high level inquiry by the federal agencies whose files leave little doubt that something very strange is unfolding in our wilderness.
Reviews
"Fantastic book and well written!"
"I was intrigued by the subject and had to search for this book because it is out of print."
"Very thought provoking factual reading!"
"Fascinating book!"
"You wont find any better reading, all based on factual events, you can get a lot cheaper on his website."
"THE U.S. GOVERNMENT seems to be complicit in covering up countless missing persons cases. Read some of Mr. Paulides other books to get an idea of what may be happening to some of the missing people."
"Russia is a heavily forested country and has quite a bit of folklore that may help explain what is happening with these strange disappearances. People appeased the forest spirit by bringing gifts and offerings before hiking or hunting. Once I read a book written by missionaries in Africa who said that the evil spirits there often took people, especially in families that were fighting. Often people go from working at a desk, then suddenly vacation arrives, and they pile everything in a car, drive for hours, and then force themselves to hike with packs over long distances without any letup. There are altitude differences, weather changes, and alcohol consumption that can lower a person's resistance to strange and unexpected things."
"That is the way I approached the Missing 411 series, and I urge those skeptics who don't believe in consipiracies, aliens, UFO's, Bigfoot, etc., to set your strong beliefs on a shelf while you read this book and just consider what is occurring. Stories of missing children and especially toddlers, can begin to weigh heavily on your heart and mind and soul, but it seems you have to keep going so that you can understand the enormity of the situation, and again, the similarities of what is happening."
