Hopefully the newest updated version of The Roads of Texas (with 15,000 corrections...according to MAPSCO) will have made all of the necessary changes."
"It is still very useful, as our gps doesn't have all the backroads and byways mapped still."
"This Atlas has every interstate, four-lane, two-lane, one-lane road and pig trail known to man."
"This is a wonderful book if you enjoy driving the back roads."
"This is the best Road Atlas for finding the back way to wherever you want to go in Texas."
"good map with all the back roads I love to ride."
"Thanks and God Bless y'all for providing this much appreciated product to our family, friends, etc..."
"Shearer Publishing then put together the individual county maps into this flowing atlas booklet format for the first edition of The Roads of Texas in 1989. I have the 2nd edition (1995, Shearer Publishing) which is awesome and very readable, and the 3rd edition (Mapsco). So there are less scenery markings (not good), and way too many graphic effects, for a double-whammy against the atlas."

"I have a system for researching places now, but when I was starting out, I always found this book useful in pointing out interesting / photogenic places to go to."
"I've lived in San Francisco for many years and been taking photos for many years more than that."
"While of course not all subjects are offered fourteen different ways, some are offered more than one way and all are carefully described with enough information to replicate the example image yourself. Without extended time to wander San Francisco and northern California searching on my own for image opportunities, I'm confident this book will improve my image collection on my upcoming visit there."
"It would have been better to be direct with the photo information rather than get into a history of each of the major stops listed in the book (often several are listed on a page, and in paragraph form). Pick up this book but don't forget the Frye book if Yosemite is part of your destination."
