Find Best Price at Amazon"The three main points of the book are lose the clutter, lose the weight and use mindfulness to avoid malignant emotions, food and items in your life."
""I might need this one day" is no longer an excuse I use to keep unnecessary items, and I'm finding happiness in other places, not buying "stuff.""
"Peter Walsh has great information, gives lots of encouragement and brings in experts for the diet and exercise portion and the mindfulness meditation. The parts on being mindful are incredibly helpful when dealing with cravings or emotional attachment to stuff. I have filled 3 kitchen garbage bags for the trash and put 3 boxes of items for a garage sale, or to give away."
"This is a very informative book about the degrees of clutter and hoarding and where you are at on that continuum."
"I was already on an eating habits changing program when I got this, so I was more interested in the organizing side, but I read the diet info anyway."
"easy to read useful info."
"great concept, makes so much sense!!!"
"Easy to follow good advice for the most part."

"I ordered this book after a year or two of thinking about the fine line between sanity and madness."
"It is written from the perspective of present day psychological research into such areas as depression, hypochondria, narcisstic behavior, borderline personality disorder, etc."
"I've had to deal with a hoarder in my life, and reading about that problem through an examination of Andy Warhol was completely amazing."
"The subject matter of this book, the mental disorders of 12 famous people, had plenty of opportunity to come off as pedantic."
"To think that if some of these genesises had been born today they may not have fared as well."
"The Andy Warhol chapter was riveting, and, indeed, it sounds like Warhol's apartment was proof that he hoarded."
"This is an insightful book into the minds/behaviors of a variety of well-known, famous people."
She also shares psychological and practical advice for de-cluttering and organizing, including how to tame the emotional pull of acquiring additional things, make order out of chaos by getting a handle on cluter, and create an organizational system that reduces stress and anxiety. “I would say that Dr. Zasio's book is about the best self-help work I've read in my 46 years as a health and science writer.

Find Best Price at Amazon"This book is by Robin Zasio (sorry to say I hadn't heard of her before as I have never watched the television show) who is a psychologist specializing in hoarding disorder. My belief is that this book isn't written as a self-help book for folks with a serious hoarding disorder, but is written for the friends and family of the hoarder as well as people who are clutterers or possibly on the border line with an actual disorder. People who are seriously affected by hoarding most likely don't recognize their problem (as is explained in the book) and aren't going to be picking up a book to research a problem they don't think they have."
"It helped me recognize "excessive acquirer" tendencies in myself. Finally it helped me to see the "opportunity cost" of keeping things that I am not really using. In sum, Dr. Zasio helped me realize a few behaviors that were detracting me from my best life and she provided me common sense advice that helped me change my perspective and behavior."
"I'd always wanted to have a neater, more controlled environment, and lately (I'm in my early 60's) felt that my inability to get to that just might be related to the amount of stuff I own. I spend a certain amount of time putting some things back in their dedicated spots, a quick dust and vacuum, and then do one of my Kondo projects (last weekend, extension and data cords), and that's it for cleaning."
"this book is a great tool for people that have loved ones dealing with hoarding/cluttering."
"this is an excellent ebook for the person who is a clutter or hoarder."
"My problem is just too much unfiled paper, and this book is helping me make progress in dealing with this."
"Not a hoarder but we live in a one bedroom and have to periodically take an inventory and get rid of things so we do not get cluttered."

"QBOOK."
"A bunch of useless infomation, basic tips. I already have known."
"Most of the content was common sense stuff easily found on the internet."
"After reading the very basic and often misleading advice in the book (play more numbers, buy more tickets, play the same numbers each time, etc), here's my advice: Don't buy or waste your time (all 20 minutes of it) reading this book. Hard reality: Mathematics and probability say you are not a lock even if you play the same numbers for your entire life. He can't win any 'bonus ball' game because it throws a HUGE wrench into how he plays. If he wants to claim his expertise, I'd like to see him break down what he's paid vs. what he's won from the lottery (for example, how much money he invested in playing before he hit each jackpot). To further that, his simple advice of playing more tickets more often to increase your chance of winning is universally known. Something tells me that Lustig's income is all from appearances and book royalties at this point. And the fact that he is so defensive on here against these types of reviews (read the comments of some of the bad ones) goes to show that he knows that he is simply an expert in preying upon the hopes of others."
"I really don't think the information in this little book i9sm not worth $40.00,"
"A useless product, don't waste you money on this."
"Dear Mr. Lustig or I prefer to use Mr. BS er after receiving your 16 pages of 5-6 paragraphs per page pamphlet you're calling a book about how to increase your chances to win the lottery."

Then I remembered someone mentioning this book and I figured for less than $15 and with the volume of positive reviews, it was worth a shot. My husband is still a smoker and I can't even get him to turn a few pages, so I know it's a personal decision and one that only the smoker can make... but if YOU are looking for a path to become a non-smoker, I suggest you give this book a try."
"This literally saved my dads life."
"addiction is a journey so the fact i didnt quit forever doesnt mean the book is bad..."
"On my third day I was super close to relapsing, but I called the center and a lovely man talked me through my problems and helped me get through it."
"The book helps break the psychological hold the addiction has on you, and makes you feel relief when you put out your last cigarette!!"
"Like most reviewers, I was a skeptic but also had hope. I've only been tempted but 2-3 times and I always went back to the fact that I wasn't getting anything from nicotine but addiction. I didn't smoke to relax, deal with sexual frustration, when I felt hope and optimism...I smoked to feed the drug addiction of nicotine. Yes, certain moods triggered the addiction, but it was addiction for the drug. Like a mother going through birth pain, the end result is the point of focus and going through the pain is OK...even like a badge of honor."
"This book was recommended to me by a friend."

Find Best Price at Amazon"I want to write a bad review because that is what my toxic food addicted body/brain wants me to do and I almost gave in and did it. Woke up and finished the book and then decided to write the truth without regards to my fight against the American toxic diet. I want to continue eating luscious breads anytime I want and as much as I want. So reading this book for the second time I am faced with the fact that in order to be where I want to be: healthy and fit, I can either change or stay the same or be somewhere in the middle. I have always been jealous of vegans = because it is the hardest thing a normal eating person can be. This book advises against all animal products - no matter what other reviewers say. Furhman states over and over that animal products are bad for the human body, toxic to the liver, great for cancer and fat, bad for humans. I just had a cheese sandwich - luscious bread, too much cheese, swiss and cheddar, some lettuce, a bit of processed turkey, mayo, mustard, italian dressing. I didn't give it 5 stars because it is so restrictive - but that is not necessarily bad, I'm just kinda weak battling my food demons."
"I existed for the next 5 or 6 years, until I decided I'd had enough to the horrible side effects of the drugs used to manage the conditions. In 2013, I tried this diet for 6 months, when I didn't feel it was happening quickly enough, I gave up and went back to my longing for the former foods. Also, as a side effect of this plan, I have lost over 40 lbs, and have been told I look about ten years younger, but my favorite compliment is that I "look healthy!""
"This looks a bit like some sort of infomercial but I promise you I'm not getting paid for this, and these questions are a big summary of the ones I've been getting for the past 6 weeks. In short, it is six weeks of vegan food with no booze, caffeine, salt, or fat. That means no olive oil, nuts, or fatty things that are still good for you like avocados. After 6 weeks you transition to a diet that can include meat and alcohol plus days where you can eat whatever the heck you want. It kind of blows my mind that I still don't look the way I want and I had 24 pounds on TOP of that. Dinner varied and I learned to cook a lot of different things and make extra for leftovers. You're allowed a little bit of bread now and then (as well as some starchy vegetables) so I never got massive carb cravings or anything. I spent 4 hours cooking his "famous" anti-cancer soup and if I never have that crap again I'll be a happy man. So I bought the fat free balsamic vinagrette at Trader Joe's ate that with all of my salads (only 25 calories per serving). I probably had a pinch more salad and fat because of it but it was worth it to me to have food that tasted normal. Some Ethiopian and Indian places had barely passable options but that was mainly with my eyes closed pretending that there was only a bit of oil in them. It also takes a really objective look at other diets which, in the end, made me not want to try them. 3) I was never hungry. 4) It gave me a lot of tools I can use the rest of my life to make better and more informed decisions. I know this whole things sounds ridiculous and corny, but I've really never felt so damn awesome and enthusiastic before. Mind you, I'm dying for a martini, but in the end six weeks wasn't the worst thing in the world."

Find Best Price at Amazon"It gave my children a real understanding about the brain and its natural response to pornography, how it can affect you if you look at it, and how to be prepared when you do come across it (since, let's face it... it's gonna happen at some point). The reason why it doesn't go there, is because it doesn't go into detail about what is involved in pornagraphic videos- it simply describes pornography as "pictures, videos or even cartoons of people with little or no clothes on"."
"At the end of each chapter, she wanted to dictate her notes to me and have me record them in the book. As you can see, she missed the boat slightly in some areas, but some of her comments show impressive maturity and comprehension. My feeling brain makes me thirsty and decide what to eat and also rewards me for what I do right. I learned to try to not get addicted to stuff like pornography or drinking or smoking or taking yummy pills even if I don’t need them. Say I just got home from “Color Me Mine” and I run across the street without stopping to think. Drugs will probably make you get pictures of pornography and trick people into looking at them even if they don’t want to."
