"I read the audio version of this book multiple times, bought copies of it for clients, and shared it with friends. After reading Michael's book, I simply allowed irrelevant, erroneous, totally made up thoughts to just float on by without attaching my emotions to them. It means you're no longer an emotional puppet on the string of everyone else's behavior, attitudes, decisions, choices, etc. I LOVED the audio version of the book because the person who read it was perfect for the content. I've read TONS of other books on similar topics but the way Michael conveyed the material was unique and different and I really GOT IT!"
"Some of the points made in The Untethered Soul are: 1. Learn to relax and stay open no matter what. Do not identify with the experiences you are observing. Facing the fact of bodily death can help you to realize that all of the observed is temporary. Do not allow painful experiences from the past to influence the present. If you want a life full of joy and love you must make a commitment to having a life full of joy and love. Learn how to live from your heart, not from your ego. The Untethered Soul is my second most favorite book on the subject of how to transcend the ego and how to realize the true Self and directly experience that perfect infinite consciousness that has only joy and love and has no suffering. My most favorite book on that subject is THE SEVEN STEPS TO AWAKENING which is a collection of quotes by these seven authors: 1."
"I see life and the spiritual journey differently, and though I do believe we all should strive for a happier life and a more peaceful spirit, I don't believe it is desirable to live without some unhappiness, some worries, some fears. The author contradicts himself many times, but more importantly doesn't indicate any awareness that he has contradicted himself. Thus, while the author makes many statements throughout that I agree with, he also constantly is making other statements that contradict previous ones, giving me the impression that he is just writing a stream of consciousness of statements cherry-picked to resonate with a broad range of spiritual-enlightenment-seekers, without much regard to whether those statements gel together to form a cohesive whole. Structure. I would not want to take that away from anyone, but sadly, it is not the book for me."

"This was my "last book" I read it three months ago and haven't returned to that dark and hopeless place yet. I had spent my life reading thousands of books trying to "figure it out" to make my way to a place of happiness and functionality, what Tolle explains that trying to solve the problems of thought from the level of thought is an impossibility."
"I decided to experiment with a singing bowl to see if it would help get me "into the now" before doing mindfulness meditation, to help stop my mind from drifting to the future and past."
"I was experiencing crippling anxiety, and due to lack of insurance, I was unable to seek help."
"I bought this book some time ago and it has changed my life."
"You have to "work out" brain just like you work out your muscles."
"I have a friend the lives and dies by this book."
"This book is amazing and extrememly helpful if you are in a negative cycle."
"Very helpful, the author means well, but, as any great advice, hard to follow through."

Inner Engineering: A Yogi's Guide to Joy
NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • Thought leader, visionary, philanthropist, mystic, and yogi Sadhguru presents Western readers with a time-tested path to achieving absolute well-being: the classical science of yoga. NAMED ONE OF THE TEN BEST BOOKS OF THE YEAR BY SPIRITUALITY & HEALTH The practice of hatha yoga, as we commonly know it, is but one of eight branches of the body of knowledge that is yoga. In fact, yoga is a sophisticated system of self-empowerment that is capable of harnessing and activating inner energies in such a way that your body and mind function at their optimal capacity. “Contrarian and consistent, ancient and contemporary, Inner Engineering is a loving invitation to live our best lives and a profound reassurance of why and how we can.” —Sir Ken Robinson, author of The Element, Finding Your Element, and Out of Our Minds: Learning to Be Creative. Contrarian and consistent, ancient and contemporary, Inner Engineering is a loving invitation to live our best lives and a profound reassurance of why and how we can.” —Sir Ken Robinson, author of The Element, Finding Your Element, and Out of Our Minds: Learning to Be Creative “I am inspired by Sadhguru’s capacity for joy, his exuberance for life, and the depth and breadth of his curiosity and knowledge. I highly recommend it for anyone interested in self-transformation.” —Mark Hyman, M.D., director, Cleveland Clinic Center for Functional Medicine, and New York Times bestselling author “ Inner Engineering is a fascinating read of Sadhguru’s insights and his teachings.
Reviews
"Yesterday I cut two oranges to juice for my morning smoothie. Sadhguru writes, "...whatever the events and situations around you, you don't get crushed by them; you ride them." Most people go through life letting external events dictate who they are and how they should feel. They spend most of their time in memories of the past or in imaginal futures, usually of a bad kind. The data may be gathered consciously or unconsciously...your intellect is perpetually immersed in the past. We transform the physical body from a series of compulsions of flesh, blood, and hormones into a conscious process, a powerful instrument of perception and knowing." "The entire yogic process is aimed at aligning oneself with the natural longing of life to expand in an unlimited way... Yoga means to experience the mental and physical process distinctly, not as the basis of yourself, but as that which is caused by you." "The yogic practices, which involve postures, breath, attitudes of mind, and energy activation, are all essentially oriented toward aligning the first three layers of the body: the physical, the mental, and the energetic body. It is only in aligning them that you find access to dimensions beyond the physical--to the fundamental life energy itself." So I began studying New Thought writings from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. I spent hours every day studying, meditating, thinking, disciplining my mind. Now I look back and think of all the challenges I have overcome and the many lessons I've learned through this difficult life. As Neville Goddard said, "The true test of religion is in its use, but men have made it a thing to defend." Then again, and this time I paid attention to the chapter titles to orient myself, and it took better form in my mind. The keys to the kingdom are in here, but you have to recognize and wade through your own preconceptions, judgments, beliefs, and preferences. And I finally understand the physical practice of yoga and how it can be used to evolve. I will leave you with one more gem that spoke to me: "Unfortunately, most human beings are doing much the same thing: they are labeling their compulsions, their limitations, as their choices."
"[...]. Sadhguru wants to be a “dispeller of darkness.” He believes that living joyfully is not “magical” but can be done systematically, like an engineering problem. He gained many lifetimes of memory and became aware of a “million things.” He decided to go beyond the rational and logical and embrace the “intelligence of life itself.”. He realized that goal of all human endeavor is to liberate itself of boundaries. Align your physical body, your mind and your energies totally to existence and that will lead to liberation and pure joy. In the second part of the book, Sadhguru lays out a path to improve the body, mind and our energies. Body is improved by doing the physical asanas, keeping our spine erect, and slowing down our breath. Body is nourished by food, which he recommends should be vegetarian or at most fish, no higher animals. It creates problems when you deny or moralize basic human drives. Sadhguru recommends to learn to keep your intellect in awareness, not in memory. While the thoughts and discussion he presents are mostly in line with “Analytical Faith”, there are a few areas where he strains belief."

Anatomy of the Spirit: The Seven Stages of Power and Healing
Anatomy of the Spirit also presents Dr. Myss's breakthrough model of the body's seven centers of spiritual and physical power, in which she synthesizes the ancient wisdom of three spiritual traditions-the Hindu chakras, the Christian sacraments, and the Kabbalah's Tree of Life-to demonstrate the seven stages through which everyone must pass in the search for higher consciousness and spiritual maturity. What sets Anatomy of the Spirit apart is Carolyn Myss's ability to blend diverse religious and spiritual beliefs into a succinct discussion of health and human anatomy.

Our Band Could Be Your Life: Scenes from the American Indie Underground, 1981-1991
This is the never-before-told story of the musical revolution that happened right under the nose of the Reagan Eighties--when a small but sprawling network of bands, labels, fanzines, radio stations, and other subversives reenergized American rock with punk rock's do-it-yourself credo and created music that was deeply personal, often brilliant, always challenging, and immensely influential. Linked under the loose rubric "indie rock," bands like Black Flag, Sonic Youth, Minor Threat and the Replacements languished in the musical minor leagues because they were too experimental for commercial radio, made unfortunate career decisions or eschewed mainstream success. Though day-in-the-life bios predominate over extensive musical or cultural analysis, this is an astute insider's account of the collective accomplishment of these various bands: strong musical and political statements by people with little clout and even less financial support that reverberated throughout youth culture. Copyright 2001 Reed Business Information, Inc. Music journalist Azerrad (Come As You Are: The Story of Nirvana) makes it clear through his tales of 13 highly influential punk and indie rock bands from Black Flag to Beat Happening that his subjects could have easily been any misshapen, angst-filled, morbidly creative teens on the planet.
Reviews
"If you are of the age group of the 'Indie' records, you will identify and like reading about the known groups."
"A unique portrait of an often overlooked time in Independent music !"
"Overall, if you're interested in this tumultuous time in music or if you've got a liking for one or more of the bands contained therein, it's definitely worth a read :)."
"Band broke up sometime in the 80's : "This band was great, underrated, and ahead of their time." Band continued into the 90's and signed to a major label: "They were mind blowing as an indie band, then kinda sucked when they went to a major."
"Having experienced a similar lifestyle as the bands covered in this book, although maybe not to the extent in some cases, I can't. believe I waited this long to read it."
"And maybe it's because I didn't grow up during the Reagan administration (I was born in '89), but the "anti-Reagan" sentiments throughout the book are far too prevalent throught the book in my opinion."
"Well written and opinionated set of band biographies, including interviews with the musicians."
"This is a very entertaining read, not only for the standard stories of punk rock misbehavior (the Butthole Surfers chapter alone is worth the cost of the book), but also because the reader can't help but be struck by the dedication and sacrifices made by these artists. As you read, you understand why he chose the bands he did, though there are a few more I would like to have seen profiled, as they are mentioned so often in the book as influences, e.g.: Dead Kennedys, Bad Brains and Meat Puppets."

Hear Your Body Whisper: How to Unlock Your Self-Healing Mechanism
Can you talk to your body? Otakara Klettke shares in her book Hear Your Body Whisper, How to Unlock Your Self-Healing Mechanism how she has learned to communicate with her body. Hear Your Body Whisper is a result of obsessive research, personal experience, and rediscovering the connection between our body and mind that naturally exists in every one of us. She explains that your body is filled with trillions of microorganisms that are responsible for the well-being of your body. Your body will also settle in the body shape it is meant to be naturally. Hear Your Body Whisper is a positive and loving approach to gain trust in your body which results in returning your body into self-healing mode it is meant to be. How did she managed to escape special diets, constant visits to a doctor, surgeries and hospital stays, and was able to become a personal fitness trainer, adventurer, TV reporter while keeping her body in the same shape ever since she grew up?
Reviews
"A great way to learn about and communicate with our bodies is through meditation, and Otakara walks us through that process. If you want to learn more about your body and how to listen to it and communicate with it, this book is for you!"
"And listen to it, because it knows what it needs to be healthy, and it knows what’s good for you. Instead of urging me listen to an authority figure speaking from on high about what I need to do for my body, this book takes a totally different approach. This book teaches me to understand that the ultimate authority on what is good for my body is my body itself... and teaches me how to listen to the wisdom my body wants to share with me. I don’t need to consult a book to know what those are (not even this book). In fact, this book doesn’t give you a standard list of foods you “should” eat at all... because the book’s whole point is that YOUR BODY will tell you what it needs to eat. And indeed, I know very well what my body does and doesn’t need to eat, but I hadn’t been listening because what I knew didn’t match with what “experts” were saying I SHOULD eat. This book will take you on a journey in which you will learn that your body is not the enemy, a foe to be subdued."
"I like the author's simple and direct manner in giving us this advice."
"I recommend it for anyone interested in cleaning up their diet in a sane manner using food one actually enjoys!"
"If you have any sort of health issue, you may find something in this book that will help."
"With a wealth of information, she builds the case for listening to your body and covers the gamut, including such topics as your brain, drugs, GMO vs. organic foods, detoxification, meditation, use of affirmations, exercise, drinking pure water, being in the outdoors, and getting healthy."
"This book made me look at my nutrition choices and my body differently and more consentiously."
"The author definitely took the time to go within the self and discover how to be guided not by what the world tells you to do, but by what one's own body needs."

Reviews
"If you are considering purchasing this book and are reading the reviews (both good and bad) you will quickly see that this book stirs up all kinds of highly emotional responses. When you read this book, it is important to understand that there is an overall concept here that many illnesses and symptoms, that so many suffer from, are a "mystery" to current medical practices. For someone who does a quick read through, with the bias of what most people believe to be true, the information in this book can appear deceivingly simple and perhaps even nothing new. However, if you take the opportunity to read this book with "beginner’s mind" (as one of my best teachers likes to say), you may find that this book has some considerable things to teach. This can be hard to do, and yet, the way this book is suggesting to heal is so brilliant and kind and gentle, that it should actually be the first step that we all take with our bodies. It took me awhile to get it when working with Anthony because it really is a different way to think about healing and what is actually going on in our bodies than we have been told. A practitioner that I went to many years ago told me a story that helped me in my own healing and being able to grasp how important the information in this book is. It is this that Anthony and Spirit are writing about in this book. Since it is a common question in many reviews, I want to clarify that I purchased the book, that I have actually read the book, and I was not offered anything to write this review. I am writing this review because I have experienced firsthand a total transformation from debilitating chronic illness and getting my life back, through the help of Anthony and the Spirit that speaks to him. I went to my physician and told him of my phone call and what Anthony and Spirit had told me and my physician said "you are the 4th patient of mine to talk to this guy and he has been spot on every time." Anthony and Spirit taught me how to take ownership and control over the healing process. The child was under the age of 5 and because both the doctor and Anthony knew that giving antibiotics to a child that young, when they have the flu, could potentially be damaging, they came up with a protocol to help my child through the healing process and keep her safe from harm of any side effects of the two illnesses or potential damaging medications. So yes, I do have a bias, but the bias is that I have experienced firsthand the healing methods laid out in this book and the kind and compassionate nature of Anthony William. Hence, the need to start writing books, and the need to have a staff of people working for him. Anthony William is just one man and there are millions, if not more, who have the potential to be helped by the information in this book."
"I got sick with what could be labeled Chronic Fatigue Syndrome - and a whole lot of other things eventually - just weeks after the floor and after a winter of feeding moldy hay. We bought a full spectrum infrared sauna since Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt highly rec's them for his Lyme patients. Just after the sauna purchase, I saw the free MM chapter on Facebook and followed the link. I was intrigued by the notion that Lyme was really viral and it made sense to me that THAT is why 1) antibiotics fail and in fact can make it worse and (yes, i experienced this) and 2) the sauna would work b/c it raises core body temperature which is then anti-viral. I'm now on day 3 of the cleanse, working on my adrenals, liver, and blood sugar (yup, forgot to mention that but my paleo diet landed me with pre-diabetes). If I didnt get dx with Lyme, I wouldnt have paid any attention to the free chapter. AW has really changed my paradigm as what he knows is often radically different than my ahead-of-the-curve functional medicine training."

"I saw three endocrinologists, three GPs, two neurologists, numerous chiropractors and massage therapists, two acupuncturists, and even a life coach and hypnotist (pretty much any health related professional whose bio suggested they might be able to help). This book introduced me to two concepts that were critical: Functional medicine, and Hashimoto's Gluten sensitivity. This led to several significant changes. The second came when I started looking for functional medicine doctors in Austin, TX and following the supplementation suggestions put forward in this book. Empty Stomach (AM): - Licorice drops. - Probiotic. - Saccharomyces Boulardii. Lunch: - Glutamine. - Methyl B12 (my Dr suspects a MTHFR gene mutation; regular B12 wasn't helping but this works great). - NAC. - Zinc (this was huge for me; gave me lots more energy). - Selenium. Bedtime: - Magnesium. - CoQ10. - Probiotic. - Fish Oil w/vitamin D. Many of these don't have to be taken with food and the order could be switched up. I'd recommend chatting with your doctor about lab work for vitamin deficiencies and reading Dr. Wentz's supplement guide."
"I've read the Stop The Thyroid Madness site, Mary Shamon's thyroid-info website, Dr. Alexander Haskell's book, Dr. Datiz Kharrazian's book and his diet recommendations, read what Jack Kruse has to say... I've looked into the GAPS diet, the paleo diet, the autoimmune paleo diet, and researched intestinal permeability and how to heal it. I'm so thrilled to have this book, it still seems too good to be true! :). I would suggest though, if there is ever a second printing, and an updated version, that the author include more advice/info on finding a good functional/integrative/holistic Dr. to work with, which testing is available and from which labs, how to navigate testing solo or with your Dr., etc."
"My antibodies went from 1200 + down to under 100 since then and I'm taking lower and lower doses of my compounded meds and cytomel."

Essential Oils Natural Remedies: The Complete A-Z Reference of Essential Oils for Health and Healing
Essential Oils Natural Remedies offers essential oils practitioners of all levels a comprehensive home reference for a lifetime of health-related needs.
Reviews
"It covers everything basic you need to know about essentials oils including production, choosing the right oil, equipment, storing, safety, application methods, remedies for common ailments and details about individual oils."
"I've been curious about essential oils for awhile, and I am familiar with common uses such as peppermint for an upset stomach. Some simple conditions that are untreated could become major health issues down the road. I grew up on a farm where my mother canned most of our vegetables and my Dad butchered most of our meat. My daughter has keratosis pilaris, which is commonly called chicken skin. The doctor did give me a steroid cream, however I'd prefer to not use so many chemicals etc on her young skin and expose system to who knows what kind of unnatural products. I have heard stories of people breaking out and rashes or getting sick, and it's because they either didn't use food grade essential oils, didn't check to see if they were irritated by it, used products that weren't made to be used on the skin or bought low grade unpure products! And of everything I've read so far, this ebook has been THE most comprehensive guide to essential oils. The last section of the book is a list of essential oils in alphabetical order. This section lists the plant name, what it's good for treating, any precautions, what it looks like in natural state. The book also gives a quick guide as well as references to studies and other work that it's referenced."
"There is a lot of basic information missing, that an essential oil user should know. I would recommend this book to a beginner essential oil user, that wants to get familiar with common essential oils, but I do feel there are much better choices."
"The ebook is a very easy, simple read that gave me a better understanding on essential oils and their everyday uses. It starts out giving you a brief history and benefits of essential oils, how they are produced, and even lists 15 things you should know about them."
"Some of the first books I bought said what oils to use for ailments, but they didn't say HOW to use them, ie diffuser or topical?"

The Paleo Cardiologist: The Natural Way to Heart Health
After meeting his chiropractic wife, Dr. Wolfson now runs a very successful, holistic cardiology office. Inside "The Paleo Cardiologist," you will learn: 1) Paleo Nutrition is the food plan for health, 2) The importance of cholesterol to every cell in the body, 3) How to avoid pharmaceuticals and skip the dangerous procedures, 4) Why stress is bad for your heart and how to relax, 5) How to get rid of the chemicals and heavy metals, 6) Sleep is critical for heart health and how to get more Z's, 7) The Top 20 supplements for heart health, 8) The Top 20 blood tests you need. He also provides practical guidelines for a lifestyle strategy that can help you eliminate heart disease from your future." "Most books for me are a skim through and a space holder on my shelf, but this one will remain by my side, yellowed from highlighter, and a spine stressed from photocopies for my patients. His take on cholesterol, grass-fed meat, sugar, nitrates, saturated fat, statin drugs and just about everything else he talks about in The Paleo Cardiologist is right on the money. "The son of a top cardiologist follows his father's footstep and after years of practice awakens to the art and science of wellness.
Reviews
"Every cardiologist I have been to over the years within the first 10-15 minutes of a consultation the cardiologist is closing hard on scheduling me for a medical procedure. I have had reasonably low cholesterol (150-180) my whole life but also struggled with high liver enzymes my whole adult life too (and not a drinker), yet when I would ask cardiologists about the side effects of taking the heart related drugs (beta blockers & statons) they would be almost outright perturbed I'd even have the gull to ask about these things. He also referred me to a local cardiologist where guess what...the exact same thing happened only this cardiologist was more rude than most and was clearly insulted I'd even ask any single question. Shortly after that less than positive consultation, I was searching on Amazon for Paleo products and happened to search the words "Paleo Cardiologist" and The Paleo Cardiologist book popped into my screen. Many of the things Dr Jack Wolfson said in the book and his recommendations were similar to what I had already researched and lined up with what my own alternative doctor told me. I was actually shocked there was any cardiologist on the planet who might prescribe an alternate path to health other than stent(s), open heart surgery and/or a slew of drugs with side effects. It wasn't easy at the beginning and I am till learning and making changes but I have been following the Paleo lifestyle, supplements and many of the lifestyle changes outlined in this book. I was so impressed with what was happening with my health, I decided to book an appointment to see Dr Jack Wolfson in person at his offices in Arizona."
"Everywhere we turn, we are being poisoned through our food, water, drugs, vaccines and our choices in the grocery store are getting slim. Another recent experience was being yelled at because he was NOT on Warfarin, even though he was on Boluoke which has been used in Chinese hospitals safely now for a long time. Very few cardiologists will agree with an Integrative’s doctors supplements and lack of drugs, so the care usually falls apart when the patient goes for their annual check up. I really recommend anyone who wants to learn the latest news to prevent heart attacks and strokes and who wants to have a healthy family in this very trying time we are in."
"This is an awesome and highly informative book that completely obliterated the ‘food pyramid’ we were so fraudulently programmed with during our first years in elementary school."
"An absolute must read for snyone with heart problems or for those who want to avoid them."
"Wow!"
"This information will save lives and the quality of life for all who read and follow the advice."
"So much information!!!!"
"Fast service..great book!"

The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook: Your Self-Treatment Guide for Pain Relief (A New Harbinger Self-Help Workbook)
This book addresses the problem of myofascial trigger points—tiny contraction knots that develop in a muscle when it is injured or overworked. The new edition also includes postural assessments and muscle tests, an illustrated index of symptoms, and clinical technique drawings and descriptions to assist both practitioners and regular readers in assessing and treating trigger points. ―Bernie S. Siegel, MD, author of Love, Medicine, and Miracles and Prescriptions for Living and former student of Janet Travell, MD, author of Travell & Simons’ Myofascial Pain and Dysfunction: The Trigger Point Manual. The detail and clarity of the book’s format will also make it invaluable to pain physicians who want to be able to teach their patients useful, simple strategies to manage soft tissue pain problems." ―Scott M. Fishman, MD, chief of the Division of Pain Medicine in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at the University of California, Davis and author of The War on Pain. I believe this book, revealing that trigger point therapy may safely relieve chronic pain, should be in the hands of every doctor." "Trigger point massage therapy may be the most effective treatment known for a wide variety of pain problems, including fibromyalgia and myofascial pain syndrome." "As a chiropractor for twelve years and an instructor of trigger point therapy at the Utah College of Massage Therapy for ten years, I found the Davies’ book very accurate and complete.

"Then late Dec 2012 - PT is great until one rushed day when she stretched my right leg too far too fast. I tried everything over the next few months - acupuncture, chiropractor, spine drs, orthopedist, physiatrist, neurologist, steroid shot, supplements, stretching, walking through the pain, ice, heat, epsom salt baths 3+ times a day, etc etc. I used to run, bike 40 miles a week, garden, now I was reduced to a cane and suggestions of back surgery in less than a couple of months of being in great shape and NO pain?? So I was going through a review of what, I do not remember, maybe a supplement that might alleviate pain, and it mentions looking into trigger point therapy. I come home and my husband comes out to help me, worried that I am going to be in a bad place pain wise. For low back pain, your glutes carry some heavy duty trigger points. It's is some work to keep up with all the trigger points that crop up but I do it while watching TV or listening to music. BTW, if you stretch a tired or cold muscle too fast/too hard it can set off a trigger point. If I had known about trigger point therapy, I could have saved myself from a year of hell on me and my family, as well as the bills. I recommend a cleaner diet, exercise, fresh air and constant movement versus just sitting. Excessive sitting and lying around make soft tissue pain worse. I love Tiger Balm for night time stiffness or to help get your circulation going on a painful spot. There are also some good videos and a Ted Talk on the science of pain in the brain that are worth watching. I took a nasty fall on my bike last week and was totally panicked, as I have not fully recovered from this past year's trauma. I got into the habit of using the lacrosse ball and it works well, but I started to get more pain in the hips & tightness in lower back. YouTube has many instructional videos on how to work out TrP if the book is too technical or if you need a visual. You have to be careful with the QL muscles (most of us have TrPs there but don't know it until you get in there with a small TrP ball) or you might cause back spasms. I had a chiropractor overwork my QL's and set off a horrific week of spasms before I discovered TrP therapy. I joined a gym for the 1st time in a decade to get me through this hard Boston winter and was surprised how many people at the gym were ending their workouts with trigger point therapy methods - rolling out on balls or foam rollers, trainers using them on clients, etc. )I have found great pain release from working these hard to reach glute points. For some women in major hormone flux it can be severe enough for you to be diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome or fibromyalgia. Yes there are some true cases of those diseases that are not related to hormones or trigger points, but there are also women being misdiagnosed & sent home with RX's for anti-depressants & way too strong pain meds. A balanced - KEY WORD IS BALANCED - hormone therapy (like bio hormone replacements) as well as exercise, diet, TrP, and improved digestion (which diminished greatly around 40-45 in women) will make a difference in your pain levels.I am working with a gifted endocrinologist who tests my blood 2x a month so we can get the best picture how to manage my perimenopause. I do not have CFS or fibromyalgia, but I do notice that trigger points crop up more often now that my blood tests reveal I am primenopausal. I travel with 2 sizes of balls when I fly so that I can roll out those knots that can happen after being cramped on a plane. *UPDATE* August 31, 2016. I am still actively and successfully using TrP therapy to manage my low back, as well as misc aches and pains that crop up. About 3 times a week I spend a half hour or more with my super bounce rubber ball and a concrete wall. I ruptured my L4-L5 disc in my late 20's, which puts my low back at a higher risk for aches and pain when I sit too long on something soft, or work too hard in the garden. Before I found this therapy, I used to get so tight, manage my aches with Advil, and wait for it to pass, usually a few days. Now that I know what to do, I roll out my calf trigger points right away & find relief within a day. I wish physical therapists would introduce a home regimen of TrP in addition to the exercise plan for recovery and relief. Just an interesting anecdote - JK Rowling (author of Harry Potter series for the handful of those that might not know) has tweeted this year about having back pain that feels better when she digs into it with the corner of her sofa."
"I'm from Argentina so excuse me if I make some mistakes in writing this English since it is not my native language. Today I was recommending the Trigger Point Therapy to some friends over facebook, so looking for the link, I found the website, and suddenly I remembered. Years back I was diagnosed with a small, tiny displacement of a vertebra on my neck. I found a book about TMJ self treatments, and Amazon had an offer for the Trigger Point Therapy along with this one. And thanks to the AMAZING illustrations (I'm a graphic designer, so I can testify on their perfection) I decided to begin searching for the trigger point. My neck was feeling like before the roller coaster ride, I felt perfectly healthy and good. Every time myself or a family member experience this type of pain, I take my book out and teach them how to treat it."
"It is not a cure all, and definitely won't work for everything, but if you were buy one book on the subject of eliminating your musculoskeletal pain, this is it."
"Very helpful locating source of and relieving actual pain."
"One can gain both a broad and detailed understanding of Trigger Points including causation of pain, source vs. actual location of pain, and various manner of therapeutic treatment approaches and options."
"really good info!"
"Excellent book, however much too technical for me and probably for most people who need help with modalities."
