ATV Trails Guide Arizona Phoenix Region
ATV Trails Guide Arizona Phoenix Region documents 30 of the best ATV and UTV trails around Phoenix. Charles (Chuck) Wells bought his first 4-wheel-drive SUV in 1993, and he had no idea how it would change his life. He continued to get lost, run into places too difficult for his vehicle and waste time on boring roads. This frustration led him to write his first book, Guide to Colorado Backroads & 4-Wheel Drive Trails, in 1998. He strongly promotes responsible use of public lands.Charles continues to scout most of the trails and spends a great deal of time traveling in his motorhome. After practicing design in Ohio, he moved to Colorado Springs in 1980 and worked 18 years in the printing business. He has always had an interest in exploring less-traveled roads and was overjoyed when he moved to Colorado in 2003.He worked many years as a graphic designer and computer technician, then joined FunTreks in 2008.

"Don't get me wrong, the loops and such are good, but when there is a phase like many side trails to the west to explore ... that peaks my curiosity, but without map or guidance it requires more research and maps from another source to really do it."
"The directions and added information about the areas we travel to is also accurate and interesting."
"Good book for locating trails to ride on with directions and trail ratings."
"Love this book and just bought second edition."
"It appears to be a good book on many of the "Standard" rides in the area and a good choice for one's Arizona Trailbooks library."
"A must have for Arizona off road trips."
"Second book from author."
"The only thing I didn't really like about the book was that I had to convert the GPS coordinants so they could be used in my Garmin, different formats."
