His stop choices are unique to Walcha and may seem odd on first hearing, for someone coming from contemporary and/or academic ("authentic")performances."
"Years ago, I had some of Walcha's recordings of Bach's organ music on the Archiv label, on LPs of course."
"Everything already written is spot on: the registrations are fantastic, the playing and interpretation are nearly flawless, the sound is very good."
"Excellent recording from this great performer!"
"Great recordings."
"I like Walcha's 'selfless' performance and his careful choice of instruments."
"Helmut Walcha expresses the Bach I love!"

"It is just amazing to sort through the variety of Bach's work just by instrument and voice. I agree that you could find a better Brandenburg Concertos, as I have, but it is still good enough to stand a listen."
"I just received this set this evening and have listened to three CDs chosen at random. Given that Bach is by far my favorite composer, and that I prefer performances on period instruments, I am much more than impressed with what I have heard so far. Normally I would wait longer to review a purchase, but it will take at least a couple of months to listen to the entire set, and I am very pleased already. UPDATE: Wish I had checked the price on Amazon.UK, which sells it for about twenty dollars less, including delivery, making it about fifty-five cents per disc."
"Be advised however that a handful of items are missing: First of all, although the documentation mentions the St. Mark Passion (CD V-22 and V-23) and the St. Luke Passion (CD V-24 and V-25), these items are not actually included in the set -- they are not even listed in the directory of vocal works on the inside lid (and these CDs contain other selections). I have now been listening to these for one full year, typically while I am driving to/from work or while hiking."

"For now, what I have here is a very enjoyable collection that I would recommend to any fan of baroque organ music with little reservation."
"Organ music doesn't get much (any?)."
"The great organ works by a great performer."
"I consider him the best interpreter interpreter of Bach's organs works."
"I am not a musician nor a music connoisseur but I am a huge Bach fan, although this was recorded in the 60's, the sound quality is crystal clear."
"Great recording despite its age."
"A must if one would like to include Richter's organ interpretations in one's record collection."

When the CD came in the mail, I immediately put it in the DVD player and sat down to listen to Laura’s music. For this song Laura has invited a flutist to accompany her and the flute blends in nicely with her measured performance of this lovely piece. This new album just released will add to her reputation as a fine pianist who is able to tap into the inner richness of the music she performs. We listeners can sit back, kick up our feet, turn down the lights, and let ourselves relax and unwind for an hour as we enjoy some of the most famous and beautiful melodies ever written."
"This Time Laura brought together The Most Divine Songs in Classical History."
"After I heard some of her performances of traditional classical pieces on earlier albums, I'd been hoping she would favor us with an entire album of same, so this seems like a personal answer to that wish! :-) And as my wife commented, any albums that includes such beautiful performances of Clair de Lune, Fur Elise, and Pathetique (Moonlight Sonata) is a winner."
"A lover of piano music, I took a chance on this CD but it is one I've listened to many times since it arrived."
"Timeless, with Laura Sullivan, is not muzak, but beautifully played music that you can listen to often and never grow weary of.. As to how this music compares to other arrangements and orchestras, I am in no position to say."
"Although the predominant instrument is Sullivan’s piano, the cello, violin, flute, clarinet, and English horn are nicely represented in the final product."
