The color looks great and I like the fitted cut and not boxy at all, if that is what you're afraid of. I removed it and also removed the back loop that holds the collar in. Most faux leather jackets not only look cheap, but putting them on, they tend to feel cheap because they are usually of a lighter weight than real leather. It may have had an odor at first, but as I am wearing it now typing this to you, I dont smell any odor from the jacket."
"My arms do become a bit restricted at the shoulder/chest area, so if you have a similar build and this bothers you, you may want to go a size up. I feel like it's Asian sizing so the size you get should be determined by your build and how you like your fit."

It is leather, but the originals were specifically made from goat or horse leather (the type of leather is not specified in this jacket). The original jackets were cut very tight across the waist and shoulders and did not have dual entry pockets - a handwarmer pocket behind the patch pockets on the front (more recent genuine jackets, starting in the 1980's, had a fuller cut and dual entry pockets - this jacket features a fuller cut and dual entry pockets, like the more recent versions, and these features add to the comfort level). What it IS - this is a very well made jacket of soft but durable leather. Looking around online, you can certainly buy a bomber jacket more accurate in detail, but it will cost about $100 to $400 more."

"nice jacket, for under 300 dollars im very happy with it, i want to point out that i purchased it directly from amazon so keep that in mind, and it is indeed made in china, but so is my other varvatos collection jacket purchased from sacks fifth, fits slim and the leather is very light and thin, not a real motorcycle jacket but very good looking and comfortable to wear, the liner seems to be some sort of cotton-linen mix so it is breathable unlike polyester liners which feel like a plastic bag, overall 4 stars."
