I'm sure the other heavier styles would be warmer but even with the TacLite Pro's you can just solve that issue with wearing a pair of tight long Under Armour type underwear. I have a pair of Blackhawk tac-pants and they have a gel strip running around the inside of the waist which helps hold in your shirt. The zipper also has a button you can close behind it just in case the snap would come undone (easier to understand if you see the photos below). The only complaint I have with these pants is the placement of the belt loops, mainly just the one on the right hip (or left hip for left handed people). They put a belt loop in the exact place that I want to wear my gun. Overall I love these pants, the small issue with the belt loops is only a minor inconvenience. Any questions/comments please feel free to ask and if this review was helpful please click "yes". *** Yes I went into Gander Mountain to try on a pair of pants for sizing and ultimately ended up purchasing them online from Amazon to save about $20. If anyone has any issues with wanting to save money please feel free to voice your support or opposition to this theory, as some already have. I suppose I could have just ordered 2 sizes in a few different colors until I found what I wanted and returned the rest to Amazon."
"OK when you work at a police academy and teach firearms at an outdoor range in Florida, the pants you use have to be tough, and able to be both warm and cool. I wear these daily as my training uniform, I put them through the ringer and they hold up great and are very well made and comfortable. With the right shirt these can even be rather dressy, but mine are used as part of my daily uniform for work."
"My Samsung Galaxy S6 phone (5 inch screen) sticks out of the top of the pocket and I'm worried it will fall out when I sit down."
"Back pocket in WAY better spot than any other pant I ever wore, EVER - in fact, that's why I chose these, because you can sit down without your wallet going up your spine."
"So, for the most part, these pants are falling apart while I sit at my desk here in a war zone, hate to see if I was out on patrol or actually doing regular missions."

5.11's most popular pants, 5.11 Stryke Pants are what all other tactical pants want to be. With comfort features like a self-adjusting tunnel waistband, a fully gusseted crotch and articulated knees you will be prepared for running, kneeling, crawling, and hustling your work demands.

"Since they cut at the same level as the top of the pocket, when I think I'm putting something in the big pocket and it won't go in, it keeps getting caught on the smaller pocket within the big side cargo pocket."
"These pants are great!"
"Jeans are still more comfortable and less conspicuous, but for field work, these pants are the standard (stay cool, don't stain easily, and dry quickly)."
"The material is not really canvas but more of active wear material not knit or jersey but more like a rayon/poly blend however, it feels a lot like UA pants and clothing."
"Great working pants!"
"Great pants the only issue I have is that they talk about how durable the crotch is and it's already warn out its and they are less the four months old and I'm not using and abusing them like they say they can handle so if I'm Paying a high price tag for the pants I would hope they would last more then four months the only plus side is the pants fit really well."
"Winters are long and cold in Montana so I did not wear the lightweight, thin pants through many of our coldest months so I didn't even put a full year of use on them. Chances are I wouldn't be so eager to give this product a poor review if their Customer Service department had shown me the courtesy of a reply to my e-mail inquiry."

"Very nice pants, great for hiking and this season in CA."
"The pants fit great and they are very durable!"
"I have been wearing military tactical pants to work for the past decade. You see, I work in a warehouse setting where I deal with all sorts of rolling equipment that have edges that can easily rip through clothing. I happened to come across these pair of tactical pants from Hard Land and thought that I would give them a try. Upon slipping my legs into the pants and pulling it up to my waist, I was pleased to find that it fit perfectly. Most importantly, though the fabric is tough (65% Polyester and 35% cotton rip-stop), the pants didn't feel too heavy. In fact, they felt as light as the many BDU pants that I have been used to wearing over the years. There are extremely deep velcro enclosed side pockets further down that fit my large iPhone 7S Plus perfectly. Let me also point out that the front zipper is well constructed and the fastening button at the waist has ample stitching behind it. As someone who has been wearing tactical/BDU pants for years, I want to point out to those of you who may be unfamiliar with them that these can be worn for any occasion. Personally, after trying on the product and seeing that it had more pockets than my normal BDU wear (plus the keychain holder), I didn't quite mind paying more. As perfect as they can be for outdoor use, I think many of you will find that they also make for the most comfortable casual wear pants --- far better than jeans."
"These tactical pants were great for the unexpected weather of Iceland."
"They have a lot of pockets that are in the right places and I liked the elastic at the waist also."
"So here’s what I’ve found out about these pants , I work for the phone company and need some good reliable pants that are comfortable ."

Find Best Price at Amazon"we were issued ripstop cotton bdu, crappy cotton long underwear and s***ty boots. Don't get fooled by bad reviews written by internet rangers and tacticool airsoft call of duty dreamers who are gear snobs. so far this jacket has kept me warm and dry with my other 2 layers (walmart special long underwear and a walmart special midlayer fleece. It is a great jacket and with the Velcro shoulders it is also a great way to show your veteran pride with your old unit and morale patches."
"In addition, the overall length of the jacket is great, especially considering I got it to wear while carrying OWB holster on right side. If carrying, the chest pockets have a nice little slot on each side that fits a 17 round mag. I did read that it's awful when wearing only short sleeves -- this is true -- solution: don't do that. I can say with confidence that this jacket is going to a great addition to my field kit this fall and winter. I'm confident that with a nice mid-layer (I would recommend a Columbia Omni-heat fleece) this jacket performs spectacularly."
"I wore a fleece under it and outside weather was freezing and I did not feel the wind hit my body whatsoever."
"This coat fits pretty baggy in the body and has super long arms."
"Great spring and fall jacket."
"A size small for a man is a size large for my petite wife, but we are taking it to a tailor to get the fit right."
"I looked for a long time for a jacket that met my requirements and I believe I have found it."
"Fit seems to be slightly larger than expected when compared to 5.11 jackets but not large enough to make any significant difference."

"Great head warmer....I used it during a camping trip...felt great on top of my head keeping it warm at night."
"But if you have a medium to large head, it’ll fit nice."
"They also make great gifts for someone that works outdoors in the winter."
"Nice fleece cap."
"Can't beat this watch cap for the weight and price."
"Like the fleece better than knit caps for riding my bike."
"This beanie does none of that."
