Probably the biggest reason for the reorder is the stout zipper and riveted button, I can't tell you how many pairs of shorts I've ripped the button. off of and just decided at that point that they were headed for the trash. The fabric tears at the front corner of the pockets, it would be nice if they were reinforced just at this joint.....lots of shorts "fall short" in this. area. These are my go to shorts mostly because of the function of the snapping pockets and the fit........but durability is seriously lacking for wearing the Carhartt name. I do also have a pair of the ripstop shorts, that fabric seems to hold up much better and is more colorfast.....but I don't like the way they fit as much, they have a slimmer fit."
"These are much more durable, deeper pockets, more rugged quality than the brand name cargo shorts. Carhartt uses a durable metal stud fastener instead of a sewed on button (buttons always seem to break off or thread unravels over time)."
"I also noticed, as one reviewer said, the stitching stops on one of pocket's leaving a hole in the flap but it dawned on me that this is for a pen or a tire gage to be carried in the pocket."
"It appears the material not the stitching has worn thin to a point of creating a hole."
"Prewashed means there's no break-in, they were ready to go out of the package. Pockets are well-sized, not too large, but large enough to keep mid-size items in (think a tape measure and small carpenter's square). Material seems incredible durable. Stitching is very hardy. Cons: Pocket closures are really tight--though I assume these will losen in time. The seat is cut a little wide."
"Good thing I read the reviews and choose a larger size with relaxed fit."
"I bought this mainly for work purposes and i love the extra pockets from this short!"
"Bad Quality Assurance Check.... the rivet snap button in front above zipper was a mis fire and was laying in the bag 2 pieces."

The left leg features a hammer loop and ruler pocket, while the right leg includes a pocket for a cell phone or tools, plus a utility band. Machine Wash. Work short featuring rear patch pockets with logo tag and slant hand pockets.

"For fit, they're closer to Carhartt's work pants than they are to the jeans."
"I ordered these in 36 based on the sizing comments indicating they run large."
"These shorts (along with Carhartt canvas or twill pants) are a staple in my world."
"the edge of the pocket is double thick, so my tape measure doesn't hurt the shorts, and the lower right pocket is just right for a level or pair of pliers."
"The cell phone pocket fits my overly large LG v10 phablet like a glove; from top to bottom these shorts are made with the plight of the working man in mind."
"You do have to find the type of shorts you lie first though (i.e. length, material, model, etc..), but once you do you are good for life when you need to reorder."
"I use these for work."

Logo label on left front leg & multi-use side pocket. Machine Wash. Flat-front short featuring permanent crease and wide belt loops.

"I really like these shorts."
"I bought these for "dress-up" occasions, and they are perfect for that purpose."
"I have never put my phone in it since I'm sure the phone would fall out, but its the perfect size for a 16oz water bottle which is a lifesaver working outdoors year round."
"You could feel the difference and once you do, you won't buy anymore from Walmart and you will spend the extra money to purchase the authentic ones."
"Also, the waist of the shorts fit higher on my waist, .....(think "mom-jeans.......) I usually buy relaxed fit or loose fit pants in order to fit my shape, however, this "loose fit feels like "loose fit for skinny people", does not fit well if you need a little more room in the seat and thigh area."
"If you are tall enough and like red, these are a very nice bright red."
"The three 38' Dickies shorts I purchased at the same time were at least an inch smaller - maybe two."

Find Best Price at Amazon"I tried stocking up on Duluth Trading Long-Tail t-shirts because they had extra room called a 'tradesman fit' that's the opposite of a slim-fit shirt, that and they are a few inches longer on the bottom to prevent plumber's crack. From underwear to shirts to pants, I love their stuff to death but I went broke just buying 2-3 days worth of clothing. These are shirts I bought in Tall size to supplement my existing longer Longtail t-shirts: Fruit-of-the-Loom (FOTL) cotton t-shirt from Wal-Mart: Average fit around my body, feels like advertized size. Duluth Long-Tail t-shirt (did not order as tall, ordered at normal height): Thick material, comfortable in summer by wicking moisture better and comfortable in winter since it's thicker. Carhartt Big-Tall Work Wear Short-Sleeve t-shirt: Material is as thick as Duluth shirt. Material is slightly rougher feeling than the Duluth but still comfortable even when bending non-stop. Costs $15 with Amazon Prime, 50% more than the Hane's and Dickie's but at least $5 cheaper than a Duluth shirt. Thick enough, long enough, and I tested mine in 100 degree heat recently. So that means I can stock up on 12 shirts instead of 9 going Carhartt to carry me through a whole week without running out of shirts, even when a certain family member (you know who you are in each family) hides them in a clothes pile somewhere for a few days."
"I admit that I read the reviews of horrible consistency but the main review I read was posted in 2013 and I stupidly believed Carhartt might have listened in two years. DUMB, REALLY REALLY DUMB.... D'oh..... On October 22, 2015 I ordered three Original Fit K-87 t-shirts all on the same order and all came in one package. Burgundy K-87 T-Shirt - Made In Mexico. Tan K-87 T-Shirt - Made In Haiti. Charcoal K-87 T-Shit - Made In Honduras. None of these shirts fit like the other & none of them are the same weight cloth."
"The arm holes are too far back on the body of the shirt, as such the fabric bunches up in the arm pit and restricts shoulder movement and gets instantly covered in deodorant wax and pit sweat stains because of the binding up in that area. The shoulders are too tight, the front body panel and the back panel of the the shirt body are identical patterns.......the back panel is supposed to be wider than the front because human backs are always wider than chests. The arm of human beings are not located at the actual sides of our bodies, but rather are "clocked" more facing forwards on our torsos......as proven by the fact that you cant cross your arms across your back.....easily, but you can cross your arms on your chest."

Find Best Price at Amazon"the material is very good feels nice might need a wash to loosen it a bit but here is the thing i bought these size 36 because thats what i get for all my pants."
"As for stiffness which is a noted issue with most new clothing, I simply wash warm - mild laundry detergent , No Fabric Softener , ( Dry ) on Low Heat , or ( Delicate ) setting, Using these methods will noticeably improve the comfort of these pants noticeably - the first & second time."
"Good pants, classic fit, they haven't messed with them, unlike Levis and 501's."
"Although I do fold them along the crease lines to help maintain the crease, Original Dickies 874 work pant for very original price!"
"I actually returned them because the waist was a bit loose but hips a bit tight, and the legs are very straight cut, maybe a bit too roomy for me."
"I'm 6-04 tall, 250 lbs, my natural waist is 39" and these are loose in the waist band by an inch or two, but this is how I like my pants."
"These are great, and for me would have been 5 star if I still lived in Northern Virginia."
"Three pairs ago was a pair of 32x32 (my size for the last 6 years in these pants) and they were way too tight in the waist, I couldn't even imagine trying to go to work in those. Well, much to my disappointment these two pairs of pants aren't even uniform with one another: one is a true 33" waist but the other is LESS than 32" in the waist - it's like 31.5"!"

Now mind you, I decided to wear these without a shirt and my impeccable new-found style was a topic of discussion at my wife's job. Pros: No visible butt crack; Look like a stud when worn without a shirt."
"They are extremely hard to find in stores these days...especially in the large, metropolitan area we live in."
"I feel like I'm crusing PCH in my VW bus back in 1978."
"The pair of overalls far exceeded my expectations."
"Kind of snug in the middle."
"These bibs are built to last!"
"The pants length and the waist are fine, but the straps are so short, even fully extended, that to wear both of them hikes my crotch up to my navel."
"I was excited to find bibs so inexpensive."
