Best Mac Game Joysticks

CH Products 200-571 Fighterstick USB
FIGHTERSTICK USB W/ 8WAY SWITCH. USB programmable joystick.
Reviews
"I constructed a stand for this and the throttle out of PVC, and adhered the stick to a piece of wood using velcro. The stick design hasn't changed in years, so I'm sure there are resources around that have taken it apart and documented it. I cannot provide a link directly, but you can find it on reddit: /r/hoggit/comments/384bkn/ch_fighterstick_throttle_wheel_has_jitter_any_fix/."
"Pros: - Buttons are easy to press and in a comfortable position for small hands - The Thrustmaster Warthog is another stick that has similar dimensions but the buttons are much stiffer. I don't want. - Hats are in a good location. - Lots of buttons. Cons: - Looks - it's a functional device with no flash. - Two fewer buttons than the Warthog and single stage trigger - The Warthog has a paddle trigger for the pinky, the thumb hat has a button press and the trigger is 2 stages."
"Go for it and you will be happy :) I plan in future buy CH products from Amazon.com. Thanks Amazon and big respect Yours happy client."
"Used it for Elite: Dangerous, Star Citizen and some other games."
"I guess there may be short circuit inside, I had to open the bottom again (without remove the warranty lable! ), I find a hot point by my finger, and found one of the wires is too long to short to the ground."
"High quality build, its plastic, but not thin or flimsy, and the internals are mostly metal."
"Throttle is sublime, wouldn't dream of changing a thing; its super comfortable, the hat switches and buttons are well placed and numerous. Both stick and throttle look as though they are made for moderate to large size hands, and though mine are small, I suspect any size hand will find these both comfortable after a bit of use."

CH Products Pro Throttle USB
What is the best Hands On Throttle And Stick (HOTAS) you can get your hands on? Total of 176 programmable functions with Control Manager software (included) VERY IMPORTANT !!!
Reviews
"The CH throttle was a bit disapointing at first and the flat axis was odd after the curve of the x55, also it has very little resistance. Now that I've been using it for a month I hardly miss the x55 and I grown to love the CH Product Pro Throttle."
"* There is no detent or tactile indicator for a center position, so you might use a reverse toggle depending on the game, or do some light modding to make one. (e.g. using thin strips of fabric or Velcro in the stem guide). * There is some friction in the movement, and it changes all the time. e.g. the Index finger, convex HAT would rarely register a soft push to the right, but it's picking up nicely months later. I can reach all controls without moving my hand, but it feels like the index convex and thumb concave are right at the fingertips."
"It is certainly not the most sexy looking HOTAS setup out there, but it surely is one of the most durable. It honestly is quite cheap and simple and it lacks the fancyness of other throttles. One of the simple examples I do, is make it do that in 'mode 1', which is toggled by a button on the throttle, the throttle's analog stick is a makeshift rudder, providing yaw. You can use a special button on the throttle like a "shift" key to enable secondary functions to all your existing buttons and hats, giving you double the functionality as before."
"+ Mini joystick for your thumb. + (1) 8-way POV china hat. + (3) 4-way hats with different shapes(2 for your thumb & another for index finger). + (3) buttons. Neutral. - 8-bit (value from 0 to 255). - some might say it looks ugly. Cons: - Throttle does constantly fidget +/- 1. - linear movement of the throttle doesn't do a good job of giving you physical feel of where it is and sometimes you have to look."

Gladiator Pro Joystick, Flight Simulator Controller Stick - PC Mac Linux
Style: Gladiator Pro Joystick. Real WWII KG12 Grip Replica.
Reviews
"It is sturdy and accurate. It does lack the sheer number of buttons seen on competitor offerings but the build quality more than makes up for that. I would like the pinky button to be an actual button and not a second toggle but the decision was clearly to allow this setup to have more programmable buttons which is understandable considering the fact that there is basically a trigger and a hat which can be reached with hands on, and the remaining 13 actual buttons are located around the base."
"The quality of the stick is decent however the plastic trigger is very weak and will snap in half during and intense engagement , and the top A1, A2, and A3 button have been known to get stuck pressed in and no longer function."
"Super smooth, all ball bearings and heim joints. Mine will slide on occasion sitting front half on carpet and rear half on the chairs carpet guard."
"I opened and flipped over to the smooth transition cam as it makes fine aiming adjustments easier for me."
"The bottons on the base feel a bit useless and the trigger plastic feels questionable for long term durability."
"I use them in conjunction with a Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS and they are a fantastic compliment to the Warthog in every way. While I sorta wish they had just built that into the pedals and had you use a single USB cable using the RJ45 to connect/disconnect the pedals does make that far easier than trying to find the right way up for a USB cable. The only real problem I've had is at times they have to be recalibated in Windows as the center point gets off so they constantly turn your ship."
"The best sim pedals available."

Steam Controller
Edition: Controller. The Steam Controller lets you play your entire collection of Steam games on your TV-even the ones designed without controller support in mind.
Reviews
"* Program any button to any xbox 360, keyboard, or mouse functions (including multiple, e.g. Alt+Tab). * Program independent (horizontal / vertical) (sensitivity / axis inversion). * Select commonly used community created layouts for Steam Games (and tweak them yourself!). * Configure your controller for non-Steam games. * Grab buttons (Ring Finger / Pinky Finger). * 2 Touchpads (can be mouse, joystick, anything in between, as well as DPads, WASD / other key configurations, screen area selection (e.g. minimap), hotkeys (up to a 4x4 grid, I believe), /and more/! * Standard xbox-feeling layout (left / right movement, joystick below, grips, and gyro may take some learning, and ABXY buttons are considered small by many). * Haptics! Want to make that gyro function control a mouse? Or, the right trigger soft pull change your mouse sensitivity to low while changing your scope button to your fire button, while enabling gyro and turning the mouse trackpad into a dpad on full pull, with your melee button becoming a quick unscope button... Or however you'd like. You can make any button on the controller switch the mode of the trackpad to the hotkey selection. The possibilities are endless, and all you need is to program it once in Big Picture; no, you don't have to use big picture to play your games, only to program the controller. Well, the Gyro function, the Hotkey Trackpad function, and the Area Selection function... Those are all new in the last update from a few days ago."
"What an incredibly versatile controller! -Those wacky buttons on the bottom of the controller. I honestly have been hoping controllers from every console would implement snappy paddles for a long time. ("Dual-Stage Triggers"). The Game-cube controller was the best feeling triggers before the Steam controller because of this feature. The Steam Controller has really, really clean and snappy feeling triggers. I just discovered today that you can assign haptic feeling to the triggers too, so if you just bind a button or a key to a soft-pull, you can have the whole controller 'thunk' when you pull it in slightly. In Counter-Strike, I do most of my aiming with the touch-pad because it feels intuitive, but when I want to aim just a tad right, I just keep my finger on the touch-pad, and move my controller a smidge towards the right. The gyro controls are so accurate and intuitive, I can control my automatic fire-spread, which is a level of precision that I can't achieve with anything else other than a mouse. The controller gives me tactile feedback on how much I'm adjusting my aim using the gyro controls. You're going to have to get used to it, just like any other controller. Or, if you're playing a flight game, you can set the gyro controls to pitch/yaw/roll control your plane while based tilt the controller (if you want). Summary: It takes getting used to, but after day five, you'll be complaining about how the Xbox controller has soggy-feeling triggers and doesn't let you aim right. I was vexxed at first by my thumbs going to the wrong place thanks to using an xbox controller, I was concerned by how different the inputs felt, but after going though the menus and making my own controller configurations for games, I don't think I can go back to any other controller. After I get a game all set up, I finally feel like I can forget that I'm using a controller, and really play the game, not fight with the controls."

"I bought this to use in Elite Dangerous and it's freaking amazing."
"As an example, the joystick trigger for me fires my primary weapon; if I hold Button 5, it performs a boost; if I hold Button 6, it targets my wingman's target; if I hold Button 7, it locks me onto my wingman's navigation target. There's plenty of buttons, and with modifiers, you'll only rarely need to use the keyboard, and then only for the less common functions. Mapping it to the throttle AXIS will cause it to behave like a real throttle—nudging it halfway forward causes the ship to increase speed to 50% engines, and pulling it back to zero stops the ship."
"You can get used to it enough to have fun though, but it is very dependent on the game. In space sims, you don't need to worry about your ship stalling or going into a spin because you were too erratic with the controls, but in a ww1 or ww2 game, planes can stall out very easily so you will find yourself becoming very frustrated using this HOTAS."
"You can also detach the throttle form the flight stick, however I had to return this item because the cable in which you seperated the two is just to short from reaching around my keyboard, (a normal keyboard should be ok, however i have a Logitech with g keys on the side, making it a little longer size then your standard keyboard). Pros. + For the price this will prolly the best you can get. + Flight stick and throttle. + Flight stick is very smooth and adjustable. + Setup is easy. + great button layout. Cons. - Detaching the throttle from the flight stick , the cable is very short and can not extend. - Not enough buttons for you hardcore people and some games. All in All this is a great Hotas, Specially for the price, If i had a larger desk and could place my keyboard off to the left side and still have access to it as well as this on my right, or the cable between the flight stick and throttle was longer i could have my keyboard in the middle (which was more ideal for me) I would be still using this today, and give it a 5 stars ."
"Excellent for beginners and for the price, however after some time with the game and the controllers I was left wanting more."
"What I mean by that is that I feel like I can go from 0% thrust to 100% thrust in to short of a time, without really feeling somewhere in between."

"The stand is so heavy there is no chance of it moving while playing, and since my HOTAS is screwed into the plates they won't be sliding either."
"If it's good for joysticks, it will also be great for HOTAS setups as well."
"Optional items for Warthog Stick and Logitech Saitek Pro Flight Pedal are crazy expensive and not returnable."
"I needed one attachment for center Warthog joystick that was not included with the Amazon order and contacted customer support who responded within a couple of hours."
"Works for the purpose intended and it appears sturdy."
"Very sturdy, impeccably engineered, easy to assemble and adjust."
"I had to weigh down the back end with a couple of weights as it was a little overbalances with the Warthog and throttle attached, but this thing is an absolute gem."

"The desire to grow a mullet begins to creep in. I hear Foghat "Slow Ride" playing from the depths of my subconscious. Slightly pinkish on the sides but that's cool, I'm secure in my masculinity. These aren't German made Cherry MX blues so why am I enjoying this? They are louder but they are crisp & consistent across the board, this very sturdy board with pull out feet coated nicely in rubber. I was well on my way to being a keyboard elitist snob plus It doesn't match anything on this desk. Feeling glum I put red ET into the sliding cavity of a hospital mobile PC station where sadly it is cannot be displayed with all its fire & furry. So dear Etrobot, If you make a white light version with a titanium board with no flex & a choice between white, black, & see-through keycaps I will purchase another. I'm accustomed to Cherry MX Browns & reds but I absolutely love typing on the switches in this delightfully obnoxious red keyboard, plus if anyone gets out of hand or if there is an intruder in my home I can save my hearing & instead just smack them upside the head with this thing."
"My suggestion is to keep the manual in a safe place or scan it into your computer to have a backup copy. The package comes with a plastic keycap/switch puller and two additional switches in case you need replacement."
"I'd always hear about how only gamers used it and how its awesome and blah blah blah. Lots of different pre-settings from gamer mode to constantly waving red and all solid red lights. No more moving around, it just stays where it is no matter how much or how hard you type."
"This keyboard has a lightning system that goes really cool with the games. This keyboard also comes with a really cool cover."
"I only wish I could find the manual online because I lost the very small manual that was shipped with the keyboard and it took me a while to find the key combinations to change the different patterns and program my own."
"It is a good price, sturdy, full sized, and does not have that ridiculous hard built in wrist rest that many seem to have."
"It is the coolest keyboard I have ever seen!"
"i bought this keyboard for my niece since she plays a lot of games on her computer and she loves it!"
