"Records like Jerry Butler's Only the Strong Survive, Wilson Pickett's Don't Let the Green Grass Fool You, Stylistics I'm Stone in Love With You, Dusty Springfield's Brand New Me and many many others others make this 3-CD set a total delight in every way."
"A collection worth having."
"This is a great box classic R&B Philly Soul, highly recommended."
"I even heard some songs that I had forgotten about and/or didn't remember the actual title. This set is entertaining and sure to bring a smile to your face and if you don't outright sing some of the songs, you will be humming!"
"A music collector or a fan of soul music would be doing themselves a big time disservice by not having this piece of work in their collection."
"Although they received many accolades during the years, the sound of Philadelphia competes with Motown for its music."
"Poor box set with loose cd-holder."

Find Best Price at Amazon"When I hear, as I have since this album's initial release back in 1978, people say that they don't get this album or they don't understand where Marvin was coming from, I am completely and utterly bewildered! HERE, MY DEAR was Marvin's most personal and painful album, one, in my opinion, that was along the lines of Bob Dylan's BLOOD ON THE TRACKS which was another album released just 3 years earlier with many of the same themes, in particular, the breakup of a marriage. She was 17 years his elder and was Marvin's first true love, they both, not just Marvin, had personal issues and BOTH were unfaithful and Anna did attempt to use their son to hurt Marvin. Instead, he used the recording of this album as "therapy sessions" and would begin to deal with not only his failed marriage and current divorce ("I Met a Little Girl", "Anna's Song", "You Can Leave, But It's Going To Cost You") but with other deep issues in his inner soul like anger management ("Anger"), Jesus ("Everybody Needs Love", "Time to Get It Together"), solace ("Sparrow"), space ("A Funky Space Reincarnation") and new love ("Falling In Love", the one song dedicated to Marvin's new wife, Janis)."
"The variations of tones, melodies, and rhythms create a full musical experience that very few albums can equal. As the album continues, the marriage and relationship fall apart and the music and lyrics and Marvin Gaye's incredible delivery show just how turbulent things would get. However, the reoccurring theme of "When did you stop loving me..." reveals that the wound will never really heal and always could happen again. The way "When did you stop loving me..." shows how regrets, and past events culminate in a piercing frustration of a lover who's still wondering "What went wrong?""
"My grandparents had an extensive collection of albums, and of course when I say albums, I mean vinyl. I would find out years later that most albums that dont chart, or aren't billboard successes, usually find themselves out of print, Here, My Dear, being a victim of this practice."
"I was almost in tears listening to his lyrics.. his music is a reflection of his time, and times gone by.."

"As a guitar player lately I've been getting into standards and there is a lot of them on this álbum. Natalie's versión is very nice and look foward to playing that song on my guitar."
"I like this album, although not as much as some of my other Natalie Cole albums."
"Great album one of Natalie's best."
"the best showcase to follow Unforgettable with love."
"CD and dvd was great, get it while you can, I still can't believe this lady has gone to Heaven, but her music will live on, I Love you and miss you Natalie, you are now with God who love you more, Thank you for the music you gave the world."
"It's very good, but comparing it to the original Unforgettable CD, this does not measure up to the selections from the original CD."
"A really beautiful CD."

During this period, they wrote all the music and lyrics and produced The Supremes to 10 #1 hits as well as several Billboard #1 Pop hits for other Motown artist (i.e., The Four Tops and Martha and The Vandellas. This was so very intriguing, so once I learned that his earliest and strongest influences are the late, great Donny Hathaway and the virtuoso that is Stevie Wonder, it made perfect sense why his sound is as such and Jarrod Lawson is such an outstanding compliment to these masters of their craft. As the tutelage of his father and emulation of the aforementioned predecessors would naturally provide the backdrop and mindset for excellence, they are not the only materials woven into his enriched fabric that gives & presents to us what we are enjoying right now."
"I was so caught up in his musicianship along with the rest of his band that the lyrics took a backseat for a moment. I am an avid music lover and I have NEVER heard anything close to this style/lyrics."
"Such a wonderful creative ride...Each song in itself has so many twists and turns....such colorful music...Musical genius...Thanks for sharing your gift with us all Jarrod...All of my friends have been put on...Keep on doing what you do!"
"Classic case of not judging a book by its cover."
"I kinda get a Eric Benet / Trombone Shorty / John Legend feel from his music."
"jarrod is a nod to the old soul singers who sings with depth.i am blessed 2 have come across his project.it is high quality music."
"Jarrod Lawson has the top acoutics, instruments, vocals and song choices."
"I could go on and on but the actual description for this instrument called a "voice" is PERFECTION."
