Find Best Price at Amazon"I've owned several different digital media players, built HTPCs with XBMC, and setup UPnP servers, so this product is familiar territory to me. Only media files of the selected type will be shown, so for example if you have a movie, its cover art JPG, the sound track MP3s, and a couple of subtitle files in the same folder, only the movie file will be listed, making it easier to find and play. I don't have every single video format claimed to be supported by the Speck in my media collection, but I ran through all of the most popular formats such as MKV, MP4, AVI, MOV, ranging from standard definition TV shows to 1080p full movies. Both internal and external subtitles were supported. Support for MP4 and AVI files was also good, though these were mostly older files with legacy codecs. Visually, the video playback has all of the sharpness of 1080p, with excellent colors that are accurate and well saturated. The screen shots provided in the manufacturer's product photos accurately portray this so take a look at those if you wonder what the image quality will be like. Lack of features such as play lists or random shuffling the entire music library limits the usefulness of these secondary capabilities. It provides the convenience of being simple to use, while packing surprisingly powerful video playback hardware."

Find Best Price at Amazon"I have owned pretty much every iteration of these since the e100 series, I love them for audiobooks and music, long battery life and cost. Not too happy about that, I tend to have problems sometimes with pausing the Clips accidently and having the on/off button in the middle is going to mean sometimes it will turn off when I happen to lean against something (or roll over when listening while going to sleep). I was able to transfer an Audiobook from Overdrive (mp3 format) which I downloaded from my library to the Jam. (Edit, someone asked for specific directions, I have added these in the comments of this review). I do not know what Sansa is doing. Since then they seem to be flailing around, each new version has added more problems and removed features. This Jam is better than the Fuze, Zip or the Sport, but it’s older big brother, the Clip Plus is still my favorite. On the Clip plus, all audiobooks, or music or podcasts can be found under that file location regardless of if they are on the SD card or the actual device."
"Yes, audiobook fans, when you take this out of the box it will play your audiobook tracks in random order, although by first installing a patch and then using a work-around you can eventually get the tracks to play in the right order (assuming the file names are ordered the same as the track numbers). -- The Clip Sport only gets detected by the computer about half the time when I plug it in. Yet when I plug the player into my laptop -- and, eventually, get the computer to see it -- I can play that same file from the Clip Sport and listen to the file all the way through via the computer. -- If you accidentally bump the forward button and skip to the next track, the display will not show that you are on the next track. After the first 40 times you realize the display doesn't match the track you're on, you will cotton on to the Clip Sport's wily ways and come to see this as an endearing eccentricity. -- Under the Folders section -- because if you expect your tracks to play in order, you will be using the Folders section -- the Audiobooks category will list a great many audiobook tracks which have actually been deleted."

I use the smaller speaker, which sets on a high shelf in my shower, as it is water resistant & splash proof. "I bought three Bluetooth speakers hoping ONE would be usable. I bought the Cambridge SoundWorks Oontz Angle 3, the Anker Classic Portable, and the Boombotix REX. If you want to nitpick, the Boombotix is the smallest, the Anker is next, and the Cambridge is the largest. The Boombotix is sturdy and easy to use, the buttons are a little close together, but they work well. The Cambridge Angle 3 is sturdy and I love the shape. The rubber end caps are a mixed blessing. I recommend standing it up if you put a lot of volume through it because once the bass starts to thump it will bounce and wiggle it's way all over the place. But standing up the passive radiator on the bottom doesn't propel it all over. None of them are on par with the large Sound Dock or Klipsch type speakers, but they could hardly be expected to compete with those at this size and price.The Cambridge is my favorite because it has more bass than the other two. There's an audio out jack, which you can use to run a second speaker (of any make). I chose the Angle 3, it fits my needs best with the best imitation of bass, but the others are good enough that I've decided to keep them and use them too."

What I didn't like about this TV was..... 1) The channel-changer was slow and the "Favorites" selection was awkward to use and for some reason didn't always work. 5) For some reason, it gets confused when the signal is weak and "jams up" to an unviewable display of garbage that can only be reset by exiting the channel and re-selecting again."
