"Havana FL Terrain: Hilly in a slight valley and trees surrounding the property. Movies and TV shows streamed via my DSL and my DVD collection helped. Recently I decided to try a converter box on my TV, it's an oldie but goodie HD 1080i DLP. I used my old satellite RG6 cable and hooked the antenna to it and laid it on the patio rail. I also decided to pick up a Windgard XT LNA-200 Boost preamp since this antenna is not amplified at all. I placed the LNA on the pole right under the antenna, hooked everything up and aimed the Yagi to 94 degrees magnetic. Construction is of high quality aluminum, stainless, and plastic/nylon parts and I have no doubt it will last for years to come. Networks received - ABC CBS NBC FOX and a few piggyback stations that transmit from the networks including a channel that plays old B&W movies, love 'em, and a local weather channel so I can tune into MY area for up to date weather feeds. All the other antennas I tried only got signal strengths fluctuating of around 49 - 55% amplified - that was unacceptable to this engineer. The RCA ANT751R and the Wingard LNA Preamp are a perfect combo if you live in an area like mine. -v-. Update: 04-04-2017. The antenna reviewed above with it's Wineguard Preamp are still functioning perfectly."
"Once i got the antenna installed and correctly oriented, I went from 0 to 48 digital and analog channels!"
"I've also added a 4 tuner Tablo Wi-Fi DVR with a 2 TB Western Digital Elements hard drive. With the local channels covered, Amazon Prime and Netflix we have plenty of content to watch."
"So I purchased and installed this antenna up in my attic and ran a coax to the splitter downstairs to feed my house."

"I was currently using a Radio Shack amplified antenna but had a lot of problems with getting a clear picture most of the time. Now for the bad: when I first did the search and everything was great, I had the antenna just leaning on the window supported by the double hung bar. After being so excited about all the channels and how clear they where I affixed the 1Byone antenna to the window with the double sided tape pads they include (3) within inches of the scan. So best advice I can give is YES this antenna works GREAT, just be careful before you make it a permanent placement."
"After getting fed up paying exorbitant amounts for cable TV, that no one really watches I pushed to make the switch to cutting the cord. 2 prong power cord plugs in close to where you connect the coax cable to your TV. 4."
"If you have a active HDMI cable connected to your TV then make sure you keep the coax cable from the antenna separated from it (specifically not touching). At first all my local channels would come in crystal clear except CBS and ABC no matter which direction the antenna was pointed. I read somewhere that the HDMI cable touching the antenna cable could actually cause additional noise on the antenna line thus preventing some channels from being picked up properly."
"This is my first purchase of an antenna so in comparison to others I'm not sure how it works but in my opinion this one is perfect."

"Are you looking to cut the cord and finally get rid of your cable company? This inexpensive gadget will let you watch many channels for absolutely free. The first thing I noticed after opening the box is the quality of the materials. Considerable lower price compared to other brands. Please note that the performance of the antenna will depend on how close you are to the TV station broadcasts."
"I went through the menu on the TV and found a signal stregth meter that shows a real time signal strength, moved the antenna around in the room until I found the best signal strength, and mounted it! I sacrificed a little signal strength for visual appeal, but i didnt notice anything different in picture quality. I used thumb tacks around the edges of the antenna to keep it up against the ceiling, and then stapled the cord down the corner of the wall."
"The foam tape is garbage and my antenna fell so many times it chipped the corner."
"Hides nicely behind a cabinet and blends into the white wall."
"I have cable in living room but use this in bedroom and it is perfect so very happy with this product."
"It pulled in about 12-14 channels if you mounted it up high in the room."
"I used the sticky pads that came with it to attach to my window, and the next morning I found the antenna on the ground and the corner had cracked. Luckily the cracked corner did not affect the signal and I do not attach it to the window any more."
"I live between San Antonio and Austin and I get around 50 channels with this antenna."

"SPECIAL NOTE: I got the antennas and not a rotating antenna because there are 4 tv's in the house and I was not about to fight with my wife and the three kids over what direction the antenna was going to point. So I got stationary antennas and pointed at all the transmission towers. As in if there is one within 200' of the antenna and if you have to point at the the power lines, your reception will not be as advertised. 1x 8 Element Bowtie Indoor/Outdoor HDTV Antenna. 1x Clearview 2 Antenna. 1x Splitter to reverse. 1x Channel Master CM3414 4-Port Distribution Amplifier. 1x Mast (Then had to replace it because it bent over in a wind storm and I replaced with 1" pipe. The Antenna by itself got me roughly 50 channels. The 82mi tower I was getting 98% and I got all the channels from all the towers around Ellicot City, Md. I also got all the channels from all the towers in Philadelphia, Pa (40mi."
"Decided to take the old DB8, mount it in my attic pointed it at towers in the opposite direction and combine the signal off both UHF antennas with a Monster 3Ghz splitter used as a combiner. Now I have 3 antennas signals combined and receiving every channel with 100 miles of me with a minimum of 50% signal strength up to 86% all with no added amplification."
"We needed to cover over 90 degrees of the sky to pull in ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, Independent stations and side channels such as COZI, Comet, ThisTV, ION, CW and more."
"In my old house, I was using some 30 mile leaf antennas. Seeing as I was only a couple miles (between 4 and 12 miles) away from the stations, I thought they would work great. I was constantly futzing with the leaf position to get the different stations. So when I built my new house (about 4 more miles away from stations), I wanted something that could provide signals to the whole house without any futzing."
