I emailed him back, b/c all the links he sent me were to Amazon's website, none to Holy Stone's. I told him I revised my original 4 star Amazon rating to a 5, based on customer service thus far. He said he thought we agreed that if I posted excellent reviews, then he would ask his "finance" dept to send me a new drone and transmitter. Honestly, even if he does send me a new drone in good faith --> I am revising my review to 1 star based on the fact that the product stopped working after 10 minutes in normal flying conditions, and because the customer service, while promptly responsive, was geared solely on getting as many 5 star reviews for their products, regardless of whether they were bonafide, genuine, ethical reviews or not."

"Considering my satisfaction with the hero3, picking up a hero4 was inevitable. **UPDATE: Took off a star for questionable issue: While i haven't come across any major glitches, it does seem to hiccup here and there (my hero3 did the same), the heat that comes off it can be more than warm, but it seems others are experiencing rather hot temperatures. While not entirely reassuring, i've heard some folks have positive experiences dealing with gopro on their overheating matters. The 4k from the hero4 looks pretty satisfying, maybe not as sharp as bigger/professional cameras, but this is a tiny actioncamera, and i don't see it reasonable to hold it to quite the same standards. Bitrate: 4k gives you up to 60mpbs, which may sound low, but other more expensive cameras use a similar setup and get nice results, and the gopro does pretty well here as well."

"The only two pieces of plastic on the unit are two non-critical plastic tension screws that could be replaced with a 5-cent wingnut if they were to ever break or get lost. I eventually found the sweet spot for my counterweights and repositioned the handle to the front position. I see so many people on Youtube who would vastly improve their videos if they would start using a stabilizer. You won't be able to do that with a larger stabilizer because a lot of the units extend 2-3 feet below the camera. This stabilizer is considerably lighter than my Opteka unit that kills my arm after using it for 5 minutes, not to mention the Roxant costs 1/3 the price and works equally as well."

The miscellaneous pieces including screws, mounts, and adhesive pads all work. "Reason for 3 stars is because the sound quality is definitely an improvement from the internal mic of the camera, but there are a lot of issues (mostly minor). The static can be minimal to completely removed using noise reduction software that comes with probably every video editing application. With WiFi enabled on the camera, the static I mentioned before passes the point of editable and the audio suffers greatly. You will most likely have to edit all audio unless you don't mind a hush crackling static sound."

"The few bad reviews seemed to concern the tripod being shaky when the center tube extension was cranked up and/or the total lack of instructions.I think the two issues are related and Amazon could eliminate 5 of the 7 bad reviews by including instructions. It's not hard to figure out but don't clip your new camera into the quick release mount until you are sure you know how to remove and replace the mounting plate and FULLY lock the cam lever. It's not really quick at all if you don't have a second mounting plate and need to unscrew the plate from the camera and screw it onto the scope. I bought this tripod for my second digital camera, which is about half the size of my first one. Who knows what cameras will look like 5 years from now, but I bet they will have a screw mount in the bottom and a tripod will still be a good idea."
