"This controller will work with a PC with a USB dongle that can be bought separately. Had a few initial problems connecting one controller to the console, but using the connection reset button on the top left of the controller after turning it on fixed it."
"Cars flew by me in race games as I couldn't throttle up all the way. Second controller lasted a few mounts then started looking up all the time. The 360 controller you could throw across the room batteries flying everywhere, and it would work. I haven't thrown my Xbox one controllers yet I've replaced as many as I did during the full 360's life span already."
"I had used controllers for all kinds of systems from all kinds of brands, so I wasn't sure how the Microsoft Software version of the Xbox One Wireless Controller was going to fit with my system. This controller is as close to the OEM controller as you can get."
"THIS WOULD BE FINE IF Microsoft hadn't made the Xbox One S Controller use STANDARD BLUETOOTH."
"I bought Turtle Beach - Ear Force Recon 30X Chat Communicator Gaming Headset - Xbox One (compatible w/ new Xbox One controller), PS4, PC, Mac, and Mobile and it confused me when it said it was compatible with Xbox One controller...."
"Pros: -Controller feels even more solidly built than the 360 controller. -If you have a xbox one kinect, it can auto-pair with your xbox one. -Triggers have feedback in some games (mainly in Forza, but it's implemented well- you can feel the car lose traction or tires spinning). -Comfortable to hold. -Battery compartment is now flush in the back and doesn't stick out like the 360 controller. Cons: -Still uses disposable batteries unless you buy the plug and charge kit or buy your own rechargeable batteries. -You need an adapter to use your own 3.5mm headset for chat/audio (I personally prefer this to software based adjustment of volume, but worth mentioning). -Bumper buttons can feel a little hard to press (this is addressed in the updated version w/ 3.5 mm jack). -To update the controller, you need to physically connect it to the console via USB."
"Got a replacement and after a couple days the same left thumbstick went bad."

"I have an Xbox controller already but decided to upgrade to this new version for two reasons."
"On Windows 10 go to the store and download the Xbox Accessories app. I hope this has helped because I had to do a lot of research to find this solution. Also if you found this review helpful marking it as so would be greatly appreciated thanks!"
"Since I don't game that much it didn't cause an issue until recently when I began gaming more."
"I originally would have given this 4 stars because I honestly like the controller, but mine decided it never wanted to charge again."
"the toggle on the left broke after just a few days...how disgusting...I paid a lot of money...prior controllers of this kind lasted forever..not sure if this is a trend...perhaps others could share their stories."
"Came a day late after ordering 2 day shipping and the down button directional pad misfired and double/triple tapped sometimes."
"I gave this remote to my son for his birthday which was passed the return date."
"Picture on Amazon shows 3.5mm jack port but controller does not come with port."

"So, I waited at least a month after I purchased the controller before I wrote a review about it... and I have to say, this controller is just fine. I even connected it to my computer, and it worked perfectly fine."
"I purchased a knock off controller prior, in order to save a couple of bucks but that was a major mistake!"
"I run Windows 7 pro, and the updater reads the controller, and automatically installs the driver after a couple of session."
"love the custom design and was affordable with the box included."
"My one complaint is that the controller occasionally disconnects and then within a few seconds reconnects me."
"It is what it is, I saved about 15-20 bucks on a new controller, but you can tell it was worn in compared to a completely brand new controller."
"Although I bought it over 2 months ago."
"I don't know if there are competing controllers that use higher-grade plastic, so I can't speak to which controllers may be better than this one in terms of durability."

"* Program any button to any xbox 360, keyboard, or mouse functions (including multiple, e.g. Alt+Tab). * Program independent (horizontal / vertical) (sensitivity / axis inversion). * Select commonly used community created layouts for Steam Games (and tweak them yourself!). * Configure your controller for non-Steam games. * Grab buttons (Ring Finger / Pinky Finger). * 2 Touchpads (can be mouse, joystick, anything in between, as well as DPads, WASD / other key configurations, screen area selection (e.g. minimap), hotkeys (up to a 4x4 grid, I believe), /and more/! * Standard xbox-feeling layout (left / right movement, joystick below, grips, and gyro may take some learning, and ABXY buttons are considered small by many). * Haptics! Want to make that gyro function control a mouse? Or, the right trigger soft pull change your mouse sensitivity to low while changing your scope button to your fire button, while enabling gyro and turning the mouse trackpad into a dpad on full pull, with your melee button becoming a quick unscope button... Or however you'd like. You can make any button on the controller switch the mode of the trackpad to the hotkey selection. The possibilities are endless, and all you need is to program it once in Big Picture; no, you don't have to use big picture to play your games, only to program the controller. Well, the Gyro function, the Hotkey Trackpad function, and the Area Selection function... Those are all new in the last update from a few days ago."
"What an incredibly versatile controller! -Those wacky buttons on the bottom of the controller. I honestly have been hoping controllers from every console would implement snappy paddles for a long time. ("Dual-Stage Triggers"). The Game-cube controller was the best feeling triggers before the Steam controller because of this feature. The Steam Controller has really, really clean and snappy feeling triggers. I just discovered today that you can assign haptic feeling to the triggers too, so if you just bind a button or a key to a soft-pull, you can have the whole controller 'thunk' when you pull it in slightly. In Counter-Strike, I do most of my aiming with the touch-pad because it feels intuitive, but when I want to aim just a tad right, I just keep my finger on the touch-pad, and move my controller a smidge towards the right. The gyro controls are so accurate and intuitive, I can control my automatic fire-spread, which is a level of precision that I can't achieve with anything else other than a mouse. The controller gives me tactile feedback on how much I'm adjusting my aim using the gyro controls. You're going to have to get used to it, just like any other controller. Or, if you're playing a flight game, you can set the gyro controls to pitch/yaw/roll control your plane while based tilt the controller (if you want). Summary: It takes getting used to, but after day five, you'll be complaining about how the Xbox controller has soggy-feeling triggers and doesn't let you aim right. I was vexxed at first by my thumbs going to the wrong place thanks to using an xbox controller, I was concerned by how different the inputs felt, but after going though the menus and making my own controller configurations for games, I don't think I can go back to any other controller. After I get a game all set up, I finally feel like I can forget that I'm using a controller, and really play the game, not fight with the controls."

"This review is based on the FPS shooters perspective and serves as an opinion to help those who are on the fence of buying. I've tried all the different attachments, from the 4 paddle to the 3 different sized extended analog sticks, none of them made me feel like I had in edge when playing Battlefield, Battlefront or other FPS shooters. In the end I just ditched the paddles since they got in the way of my grip and went with the standard sized analog sticks. They ONLY thing I switched was the D-Pad from the circular to the + D-Pad since I felt it gave a more positive click. Of course if you're constantly playing games with full auto weapons then this feature is pointless. Hair triggers mostly apply to semi auto firing modes, much like many of the weapon in the current Battlefield 1 game. After 1 year of usage, all buttons, triggers, bumpers and analog sticks held up good and feel just as crisp as when I used them day 1. However the controller has started to fail in certain places such as the rubber grips which appear they have lost some adhesion on the underside, as a result have begun to peel off. (now lower) as an FPS shooter and a person who is an avid gamer that probably puts more than 500 hours in games every year…..YES! I can perform just as well with a standard Xbox One controller, so anyone going out buying this thinking they’re now gonna own newbs on Call of Booty are delusional and in for a big surprise. Good for sweaty hands, held up decently after 1 year of heavy usage. Attachments like the paddles get in the way of grip, and the extended analog sticks don’t make much sense for FPS."
"My issue is after using it for a few months the back part of the hand grip started to warp until it peeled up."
"It's a small price to pay for a controller that has known issues that may arrise after the manufacturer warranty expires."
"By far the most well-priced pro controllers on the market."
"Despite my little remarks, this is a great controller, if you somehow managed to break your old 360 or x-one controller and you have some extra money in your pocket available, then this is a great purchase."
"The only issue is see is the placement of the paddles can be slightly annoying depending on how you hold the controller."
"There is only a 3 month warranty on this very expensive product that has multiple known issues especially with the bumpers coming out and being dysfunctional. Repair Elite Controllers and Extend Warranty. The Xbox Elite Controller is a fantastic product aimed at the hardcore gamer looking to take their game to the next level. Elite controllers with the above defects should be repaired, and the warranty of Elite controllers should be longer than the original warranty of only 90 days."

"I ended up tweaking the deadzones in forza a bit more to my liking, but that was just software settings, and small ones at that. Once it was installed, I plugged in the USB cable, the wheel spun around a bit and it was ready to go. I launched Assetto Cora and to my surprise, found a premade config for the Logitech g920 with and without the shifter. After that, I launched a race (in manual shifting mode) and ran a few laps around Mugello just to see how it was. The wheel is the same size, though it now has a flat bottom The leather feels great, just like it did on the g27. A noticeable difference from the g27 is that the wheel no longer has the LED shift indicator lights. One minor thing I don't like about the wheel is the LED light just above the xbox button. So stiff that I had to put the back of my chair up against my couch to keep from pushing myself backwards just to get the car to slow down at all. This is all because of a small piece of rubber that is inserted into the break pedal spring to give it "progressive" pressure. This could have been a 5 star rating if I didn't have to mod it to get the brake pedal to work normally and if it had the shifter included."
"To get to these settings on FM6 you need to go to: Options: Controls: Advanced wheel controls (by pressing X button in controls menu). Steering: inside deadzone =1. outside deadzone = 100. Acceleration : Inside deadzone = 0. Outside deadzone = 100. Deceleration. Inside deadzone = 0. Outside deadzone = 70. Clutch. Inside deadzone = 10. Outside deadzone = 50. Hand Brake. inside deadzone = 0. outside deadzone = 50. Vibration scale = 50. Force Feedback scale = 100. Degrees of rotation = 420 (again personal preference). In game I run Normal Steering. I suspect this is due to running a vibration setting when drifting and the wheel was constantly vibrating."
"This is one fun controller."
"All in all, worth the price if you like to bang gears I stead of Auto or paddle shift."
"Solid wheel for the money."
"After finally getting the drivers to work I get to use the brilliantly put together "Logitech Profiler" which takes several minutes to start on its own because each time it has to build some "game database" which is not network activity mine you - it's thrashing your disk - and this is on a modern i7 system with an SSD. After unplugging the wheel and turning the computer off for a day - it now does not work again (wheel turns on, calibrates itself, but is not detected by the all knowing Logitech Profiler and does not work in games."

"Thanks to trial and error, some clues I found online, I figured out how to install. 1) Reboot with dongle unplugged and log in as administrator. 2) Plug in USB dongle. 3) Open Internet Explorer (no other browser will work). 4) via IE, open catalog.update.microsoft.com. 5) Search "XBOX wireless". 6) Of the several drivers/results that show, the most recent did not work for me. I had to use "Microsoft-Other hardware-Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows", Driver (Networking), v. 19.53.40.791 (189 KB) - click to add to cart. 7) Open the cart in the top right to download. 8) Extract the download into a folder on your computer (anywhere). 9) Open Devices and Printers (in the control panel, remember, the dongle should be plugged in). 10) Find "XBOX ACC" - this is the dongle, mostly unrecognized by Windows. 11) Right click XBOX ACC > Properties. 12) Navigate to the Hardware tab and click the [Properties] button. 13) In the first tab, General, click [Change settings]. 14) Navigate to the Driver tab (second tab from left). 15) Select [Update driver] button. 16) Click the second option, "Browse my computer for driver software". 17) Navigate to the folder you extracted the downloaded driver into. 18) It should be recognized. Also, from everything I've read online, if you call up MS for troubleshooting, they'll have you do a lot of things that don't help in the slightest (cleaning the registry, etc.). Thankfully, I run a recording studio, so I'm used to pairing troublesome hardware, so the troubleshooting didn't take me too long."
"Microsoft Xbox One Controller + Wireless Adapter for Windows 10. Sold By: Tech&Toys. Shipping: Fast (2 day shipping). I have owned this controller for over week with solid use."
"It works great with Big Picture mode on Steam via Windows 10."
"The controller worked fine for about a month or two but once I started to notice that, I lost my desire to use it and thus hardly play the games I enjoy with it anymore. I'd like to point out that I've played the souls series for a long time, I don't rage or throw my controller or anything like that, this button just died of natural causes within a month or so of having it."
"The controller itself works great, but mostly when its wired, i gave up on the wireless dongle a while ago, anything that get between it and the controller and it dies on you, it also doesn't really have a very comprehensive system for telling if you are actually connected to the dongle or not, you just get a varying degree of flashing light on the controller and if it doesn't connect there really isn't any way to figure out why did it not connect and what you can do to fix it."
"However, those with small hands will finally find the perfect controller!"

Best Xbox One Remotes

PDP Talon Media Remote Control for Xbox One, TV, Blu-ray & Streaming Media
Easily control your Xbox One system with the convenient officially licensed Talon Media Remote for Xbox One. Soft rubberized texture with TV controls, (volume, channel, mute) D-pad, A,B,X,Y, and numeric buttons control.
Reviews
"Remote is a great length. Fairly easy to access any button you need (no different than a typical remote of this size). My Xbox was already set to control my Sony TV (turn on / turn off with unit) and this remote was set to work with Xbox as soon as the batteries went in, so my default I could control my TV volume with no additional steps. The center toggle (left, right, up, down) works just fine, but I find the size of my hand and the shape of the remote causes it to "slip" just slightly when I am using that center toggle."
"The range of the remote seems a bit limited and requires a bit of care to direct it right at the xbox."
"A lot of functionality to really ease navigation and give shortcuts to simple things for entertainment features."
"Easier to handle and use than the conventional controller when viewing TV or DVD."
"It's definitely better than constantly having to turn on my xbox controller every time I want to pause a show, but I still haven't quite figured out how to sync it to the TV to control the volume."
"I just put batteries in and boom instant easy control over my Xbox and I can save my batteries in my controller when I just want to watch ESPN or CBS or any other app."
"Much easier than using the Xbox controller."
"An amazing remote for the money!!"
