Find Best Price at Amazon"Needless to say I was really concerned how I would continue to work and maintain some kind of active lifestyle using crutches or a traditional walker. I asked my doctor, prior to surgery about the knee walker and he had limited knowledge of it , but said for me to try local medical appliance places. I ended up purchasing the Drive walker from Amazon after finding prices locally of $700-+$1000!. I can go shopping, out to eat and even still go to the Y to roll on the indoor track and do upper body weight lifting. I also purchased a LED flashlight that attaches to the handle bars for late night trips in my house and also the Sunlite mesh bottom removable bicycle basket ( from amazon). This basket is a lifesaver, it carries about everything for me ( purse, water bottle, small amounts of groceries, laundry, paperwork, mail, etc). After 4 weeks of use I would like to offer the following tips/safety information: 1) The knee walker is close to perfect for rolling effortlessly on a smooth flat surface. Uneven pavement, gravel, rocks, cracks, thresholds(such as entering buildings), even raised painted places in parking lots will violently throw the front wheels. Hold on tight to both sides of the handlebars and keep your good foot on the ground 100% of the time in all situations. I ran the back wheel of mine into a pallet in a grocery store that I thought I had cleared and it almost threw me off. Handicap entrances to sidewalks tend to have hard knobby surfaces, I guess to prevent slippage, these can be tough to navigate on a knee walker. I have family members clean it before I use it in the house after returning home, They wipe the wheels with a wet cloth. 8) Be super careful on any downhill, even handicap small ramps going up to sidewalks."
"I purchased this knee scooter about 3 months ago, in anticipation of foot surgery. This review will also compare this type of knee scooter to those that do not have adjustable steering. The other one I used had a knee pad that could not be adjusted, and it was a bit too low to the ground. And if there is only one brake, then if that particular wheel is riding high even a little bit because your floors are uneven, then it will roll. But you can see in the photos that there are two cut outs in the knee pad running both ways. The reason is that you have to use a lot of arm strength to keep the front end straight. If a rock or a crack stops one of the front wheels, then the other has a tendency to turn because your forward momentum is still pushing the scooter. What would be ideal is if there was a locking mechanism so a knee scooter could have steering when you wanted it and not have it when you don't. The nonsteering one I had (sorry, borrowed it and don't know the brand) could be folded up like one of those simple child's strollers. The steering column breaks so it can fit sort of under the knee pad, but that's as far as it goes. When putting mine into the car the nature of the way it breaks down resulted in a broken brake handle. If you live where you need to use it on gravel a lot or outside on uneven surfaces, then I'd consider a less expensive one without steering. When you are supposed to not put weight on your foot or ankle, it's a lot easier to do this with the knee scooter than with the crutches."
Constructed with a soft, non-irritating faux woolette fabric, the cover allows for better air circulation around the knee and leg. Easily secure the pad cover to the knee walker platform with integrated elastic straps. Easy to clean, the platform cover is machine washable with like colors and fluffed dry on low heat. RELIEVES PAIN AND PRESSURE: Supplying an extra layer of soft cushioning, the knee walker cover evenly distributes the pressure on the knee and lower leg for all day comfort.

Find Best Price at Amazon"This review covers four recently purchased products that are helping to make life with my broken foot somewhat bearable: 1. Seal Tight Freedom Cast and Bandage Protector - Adult Leg. I am a sixty-five year old male, 6'1" tall, 185 lbs. I am recently retired and kept in good shape through running and gym workouts. During a run a little over a week ago, I made a quick move to avoid dogs on a leash lunging at me, rolled my ankle and broke my fifth metatarsal (Jones fracture). I used them for about a day and a half and found them to be a real pain in the hands and lacked stability. At the time that my doctor gave me the walking boot, I recalled that such a thing as a 'knee walker' existed and had him prescribe one for me. After my usual extensive research, I decided to purchase the knee walker that I named above. The knee walker handle bar stem does fold down and I'll probably test out having my wife get it in and out of the trunk for an appointment that I have next week that will include a semi-lengthy 'walk'. I would lock the brakes if I wanted to kneel in a stationary position without rolling out of place. As for the knee walker pad cover listed above, it fits the seat perfectly. I initially felt that putting a garbage bag around my walking boot and keeping it in place on my leg with a rubber band would be fine. With my new cast protector (named above), I can easily keep my leg inside the shower without worry that my walking boot will get wet. I've never broken a bone in my life except for twice getting some cracked ribs from bicycle race crashes years ago. Since the whole process of living with a broken foot is such a pain (although the foot doesn't really hurt much unless I move or knock it the wrong way), I wanted to provide this lengthy review in order to help others finding themselves in a similar situation."
"The molded knee scooter seat was a little hard on the knee."
"This faux sheepskin cover is a helpful addition to a knee scooter."
"The elastic is strong and keeps the cover snug on the scooter pad."
"“My adult daughter had ankle surgery and I purchased this for her to use as she will be non-weighbearing for almost two months."
"I agreed with some of the other reviews that said the material begins to wad up and then caused the pad to be more of a problem."
"Still had to put additional foam under seat cover to be comfortable on knee scooter."
"This is only a fleece cover."

"This is a wonderful tray especially the fact that it folds down....the glass or cup holders really help to prevent spills while walking away from the kitchen."
"This is an excellent product for the price!"
"Do not know why or how to fix this problem."
"The tray definitely slants downward toward the user, at least 12 degrees--if you want to use it at a level position---place it in a level position--then with a small wrench and phillips screwdriver, tighten both locking nuts ---of course, you then cannot fold the tray---But you can carry items without the slant and risk of spillage--which I find is more important than the folding feature."
"It works well for my weight bearing restrictions because it allows room to stand closer to the handles, which allows arms a straighter angle for better support."
"Item looks like it would be very nice on the correct walker."
"Not impressed with fit at all."

Find Best Price at Amazon"I got this for my Mother who is wheelchair-bound and it definitely rubs on the wheels, it must be tucked inside the chair or placed on the back of the chair to work. This defeats the purpose in the case of my Mother who is larger so there is no room on the inside of the arm/chair."
"We didn't have to worry about dragging along my purse and other items I needed, they all fit quite nicely in the bag and there were multiple pockets and sections to help organize everything."
"Nice bag to carry my things after a hip procedure."
"Great product, but mine didn't come with the straps on the bottom of the pouch."
"With the quality of workmanship I don’t expect to have to be buying another bag anytime soon."
"The tote bag attached securely to the walker and the Velcro strip across the inside of the bag keeps contents stored safely."
"My walker is a wide one and the straps to secure it at bottom were roo short."
"Adjustable straps fit over rubber handle of cardiac walker."

"I have joint damage in my hands that made this process extremely painful to use the walker."
"They come with an additional set of foam pads, with instructions stating they could be added to the covers for an extra-cushioned effect .... don't know how in the world ANYone would be able to then fasten the covers."
"One set of crutches has quality rubber grips, but I needed just a tad more cushioning and wanted material over that to wick moisture. The other set of crutches has cheap foam rubber hand grips that needed a lot more cushioning as they were hurting my hands. What works for you may be different as it really depends on the size of your hands, your weight, and the quality of the foam or rubber in your hand grips already."
"The hard plastic grip on the actual walker became very painful to my mothers hands after a day of use causing them to hurt and become red which after minimal use I could see her not wanting to use the walker due to her hands becoming raw and painful."
"I believe I had already ordered these the day after I ordered the walker and they came the next day."
