Best Household Dustpans

When it's fully extended, the broom and dustpan are great for sweeping large areas, and then the broom retracts with a quick twist to easily sweep dirt piles into the dustpan. When retracted, broom is ideal for sweeping dirt piles into dustpan.

"I'm generally a big fan of OXO products."
"The same color that reviewers believe make their brooms used. Inside the bin is just some sort of bristle dust, but you should (if the seller is actually Amazon) receive a new product."
"It'll outlive the commercial products from my work, even if I were to use this broom twice as often as the one we use at my work."
"However, over a couple months the pan bowed up and will not lie flush with the floor."
"See the picture..... the broom is very poorly made and it is Expensive!!!"
"Was sent a set the clearly looks like it was used before.. both the broom and dust pan are dirty and the broom bristles are bent.. went to return it the same day it was received and got an "item not eligible for return" error message."
"The broom is almost unusable and the dustpan is nothing more than a stand for the worthless broom."

Find Best Price at Amazon"Because this is a sweeping dust broom the natural sweeping motion is not having the handle straight up and down but on an angle. For the complaints that the handle is too short, first one can go buy ANY painters extension pole and problem solved, but the reality is this broom isn't specifically made for sweeping an entire room or garage floor as you would use a typical broom, its generally more for spot sweeping. Only because the sweeping motion of the rubber bristle broom is awkward to sweep into a dustpan, so this little broom does just what I need it for."
"The bottom of the dust bin is flat and straight and seals nicely against the floor so all the dust goes in the pan and there are no annoying 'crumbs' left on the floor."
"It is really good quality - material seems sturdy and it is well made - but as a primary broom - you use this broom with one hand - it is designed for lobby cleanup (that must be why its called a lobby broom)."
"Great tool, there's just something a little funky about the bristles on the broom."
"We use our regular size broom with it though and it attaches to it just fine."
"Broom bristles fanned out within a week, does not sweep up well in that condition, nor can you insert the broom into the dustpan when storing."
"I really dislike this brush/pan set."
"Fine."

The broom has flagged bristles resulting in a larger surface area and a soft, feathered texture that effectively grabs dust and dirt.

I've just increased my rating to five stars because, in fact, I have become pretty excited about this broom. It turns out that it's so convenient to use that I wind up spot sweeping all the time, which means that my kitchen stays cleaner."
"I use it in the bathroom where we keep the catbox to sweep up litter that gets scattered by the furry little feet and it is adequate for that!"
"The teeth on the dust bin work great to pull dog hair and threads out of the broom."
"The brush fits in the bucket and it can all balance when the bucket is upright."
"Although it does manage to collect dust particles on the floor together, dusting the particles into in the dust-pan gets a bit difficult, primarily for two reasons: 1) The red rubber edge of the dustpan make it difficult to sweep dust particles in. 2) Dust gets stuck on the brush bristles a bit too much."
"Broom and dustpan work well."
"Lighter than the earlier version purchased, easy to use, rubber teeth on pan to dislodge debris and keep hands clean."
"My new....USED... broom arrived today."

Find Best Price at Amazon"We were tired of hair everywhere and somehow I realized that dragging my shoe across the carpet balled the hair up. The backside is more like a squeegee and helps pull the hair up in long rolls and keeps the hair in one big pile."
"I also was very afraid to buy a whole new vacuum and spend hundreds of dollars on something that might just clog up and break when faced with all the hair we had here. I chose this broom because it is marketed specifically as a fur remover and because of the positive reviews describing it, so I'm here to add one more. I was very, very skeptical that the solution to my pet hair problem was something as ludicrous as squeegeeing my carpet, but the results are undeniable. If you are not fully able-bodied, or just aren't looking to work that hard to save the money, a powerful vacuum cleaner may still be your wisest choice. Personally, I plan to purchase a small 20 dollar shop-vac as a companion to this broom, especially because right now I have to just pick up the wads of hair with my hands. This should highlight the improvement in hair (And even some other debris) removal, as well as how the bristles where able to easily fluff back up a section of carpet that had been pressed down over many months by a heavy metal power strip."
"I own a boarding kennel and this is the only broom I use."
"Pros: extends to a little over 5ft, retracts to about 3ft, length of brush is easy to control(not too long), has two sides (brush for carpet, squeegee side for flat surfaces), worth $18. Cons: needs elbow grease ;), brush head occasionally needs to be tightened (depends on how I use it)."
"They all get swept at least a couple of times a day to keep up with the fur & mud from the dog and crumbs from the kid and cooking. It quickly proved to be more work to sweep it - than it is to lug down the vacuum that is stored on a different floor of my home."
"We used to use a combination stick vacuum and regular broom on our hardwood floors, but that means we have to go around twice, and the regular broom's bristles still got full of hair, and even after vacuuming and sweeping, the floor felt dirty. All the dust and hair quickly go into a pile, nothing sticks to the rubber broom's bristles, and the job is done in half the time."
