Feb 11, 2016, A gentleman jarred my memory, about disassembling cleaning and greasing the internal moving parts to prevent seizing. I've moped and supervised many floors in my 20 plus years in the Navy, and In my life.I have never come across a mop that simplified my life as this one has. The pulley system began to seize causing the base of the foot peddle to break in half rendering it useless."

I wet one, put it on the mop base, spray it with an appropriate hardwood floor cleaner (not essential, but it makes the mop glide better and the floor look better), and let it just about glide itself across the floor. Then I tried a Swiffer -- it's just not heavy duty enough to really clean, it's only good to pick up some minor surface dirt. This has nice curves, good color, neat clean styling. "Seeing those spin mops that use a pedal to convert mechanical motion into axial motion, if the all parts are not made of heavy gauge metal I just know from the type of work I do for a living, the pedal system will eventually fail. The Spin Dry Barrel and the Wash Agitator are built into the bucket insuring no parts go missing. The Mop handle provides the power source for the spin barrel and agitator using a mechanism similar to a ratcheting drill, but operates smoothly. Failing to do so will decrease the performance of the Spin Barrel and the Agitator making for poor results. The Spin Dry Barrel is also easy to use, place the wet mop head into the barrel using the same downward pumping action will get the mop head damp for quick cleaning and fast drying or leaving it wet to deal with stubborn floor stains. The Mopnado Stainless Steel Deluxe Rolling Spin Mop was an immediate hit with our family! I like the built-in cleaning solution dispenser, I only wish it could be snapped into place from the top instead of having to unscrew it from the underneath the Spin Dry barrel shroud. It's worth taking a few minutes to research how microfiber cloths pick up dirt and bacteria just so you can fully appreciate what these little cloths are doing with nothing but water. Here are some of my favorite uses: - Dusting (use it dry). - Mirrors (wet half of the towel to wipe down the glass and follow up with the dry half to dry). - Electronic screens (use it dry). - Stainless steel (clean with a wet one and follow up with a dry one). - Hardwood floors (mine fits my mop and I use dry ones for dusting and wet ones for mopping). - Soaking up spilled water. - cleaning cabinetry. - washing the car. To keep these cloths cleaning effectively, make sure you are washing them separately (when washed with other clothes they will pick up and hold on to lint which will be a hassle to get off) and in hot water."
