We found one stud to attach one arm of the crossbar and the rest of the arms were secured to the ceiling with butterfly toggle bolts There are 4 bolts with nuts, one attached to each arm of the crossbar. After attaching the crossbar to the ceiling, you will need a second person to hold up the canopy while you attach the wires. before wiring the canopy to the crossbar, you should remove the plastic protective cover from the mirrored face. There are five light fixtures attached to the canopy. Next is the most difficult part: attaching the crystals to the face. Per the way this thing is built, you have to open these small wires loops and attach them to tiny loops in the canopy. By a stroke of genius, I bought latching earring hooks and used these to attach the crystal strings to the canopy. I hooked these on upside down with the loop part of the earring hook on the tiny loop of the canopy."
