Once the package arrived I couldn't wait to tear it open and begin using my new iron. - The water tank is definitely bigger. - The steam holes is definitely more than my old iron. - There are several settings for how much steam you want to use in each project. - There is a self cleaning tab (I do this at least every other week since I do not use it as often). - The heat setting knob is smooth, not like my old iron it feels like the combination lock where I need to hear it click to know it's in the right settings. - The pointed tip is perfect for pleats, collars, tabs, and so on. - The iron heats up in a minute maybe less (I really didn't set the stopwatch for this). - It automatically shuts off after a few minutes of non-use. - To turn it on I just lay it flat for a second and stand it back up. - With this iron it takes me 5-15 minutes (depending on how many yards of fabric I have)."
"A good steam iron should have at least 300 steam holes, my sources told me, and 1700 watts of power. The Rowenta Dw5080 is great -what a real steam iron should be. One note on filling it: if you get little white flakes, your water is too hard, so add 50/50 with spring water (not distilled), and be faithful about using the self-clean feature once a month."
"After less than a year of use, water now literally pours out of the bottom of the iron...not the face plate, but the bottom of the iron."
"I love Rowenta irons...except they start to leak after 3-4 months."
"I thought this would be a great iron that would last for at least a few years!"
"I ended up purchasing a cheaper model (Hamilton Beach) after the 1st iron just started pouring rust water of the bottom and haven't had any issues with it spitting out rust water."

Find Best Price at Amazon"And let me say that back in the "olden days" I used to even have an ironing business (when I was in my early teens) for people in my neighborhood, so I know how to handle an iron! LOL We ironed everything in my home: shirts, pants, curtains, pillowcases. Bottom line: Do not waste your money on a different iron. No drips, no splatters, amazing steam, perfect weight, great soleplate (stainless and smoooooth), excellent ability to get around buttons and in pleats with the ridge around the point....it's just a fantastic iron and an amazing price."
"A couple blasts with steam surge seem to clear all the calcium out. I lost the little plastic water cup that came with the iron a long time ago, but I find it easy to fill just using a cup from the bathroom sink or a creamer filled with water. Some seem to have a trick hole that require you get just the right angle for the water to enter the reservoir. Many irons don't show you how much water is remaining - it's either too hard to read or it just indicates when it's full. When the iron is plugged in but automatically shuts off, I just tap it once, and it is pre-set at whatever the last setting was (e.g., 6). The other thing I love is that when it is set to 6, I can refill it while the iron is hot (I'm sure there is a warning in the directions against that) and i don't have to wait for it to reheat. The only time I ever had to manually clean the surface was when I dropped the hot iron on a synthetic rug that melted and left residue on the plate. THE REASON FOR 4 INSTEAD OF 5 STARS: - The steam dial can easily be turned when ironing. Not a big deal, since you just tap the heat setting button to turn it back on and keep going. Given where my outlet is and where I have space for an ironing board, I would prefer a really long cord. This is probably my fault, but with all the funky fabrics out there, it's hard to know what setting to use (e.g., lycra, viscose, tencel)."
"They had such small water reservoirs that I was constantly refilling them, and, eventually, both began spitting water all over the clothes, regardless of the settings being used, rendering them useless despite some features I liked. I love that it has a very large water reservoir and that the cup for filling it has a pour spout which essentially eliminates spills when filling the reservoir. Unfortunately, the dark gray color of the reservoir makes it nearly impossible to monitor the rise of the water as you are filling it, and there is a "Max" line at which one needs to stop."
"Where I looked at the iron I noticed a tiny sharp metal piece sticking out of one of the holes."

"This new model heats up fast and irons the winkles out of clothes much faster than the previous one."
"Maybe Sunbeam sacrificed cord length for the retractable cord feature, but I would have preferred to have a longer cord instead of a retractable one. Other than that, I cannot fault this iron in any way at all..."
"The steam tank lasts much longer than the Rowenta, and it's blast of steam works wonders on heavily wrinkled linen, heavy denim and cotton. I have also ironed silk chiffon and charmeuse (with pressing cloth), silk tweed, rayon challis, nylon - all perfect using the heat settings the instructions recommend."
"The iron worked great for me, but I soon noticed it always left a strong, weird smell in the air. Apparently it was overheating and causing the front part of the iron to literally melt."
"Eventually I used a spoon to pry it open only to find the cover is not attached to the iron. When I received the product, it has some smudges on the body, which is understandable given I chose FFP packaging. However next I saw there was already some water drips in the reservoir, and the cord is twisted several turns when I pulled it out."

Find Best Price at Amazon"The device itself works ok when steaming ligthly wrinkled clothing, but on heavier clothing such as cotton or linen shirts it takes a long time for it to take out the wrinkles. Mr. Ash, service customer rep/owner, also indicated that he will personally walked me through the installation of the replacement steamer to ensure that the post is working properly. I now am able to steam all of the clothes with ease and I am revising my previous statement on its perfomance with heavily wrinkled cotton and linen clothes."
"I bought this steamer to steam my curtains that I knew I would never take down just to iron. I was able to completely steam this item, the first time using a steamer in under 3 mins."
"We own an older Steamer from a Big Name Company(which we paid more than double the price compared to this one) and other than the extra fancy attached gadgets I honestly didn't see much difference in outcome(see shirt pictures bellow) In a cute attempt to justify the extra cost wife thinks this Machine is Okay :). The only negative thing that I found with the Steamer (although I received it as a sample test free or at a discounted price) is the position of the drains on both, the tank and the the machine itself,as some water remains in both after emptying them out,and that wouldn't be a deal breaker anyway, just get some paper towel or a rag to wipe out what remains."
"But now with this steamer it looks so sharp!"

Find Best Price at Amazon"Just over six months ago I purchased a Checkys Deals Silver Silicone Metallic Wide Top 18" X 48" - 49" Ironing Board Cover and Thick 6mm PAD from Amazon. One of my cats decided that the ironing board would be a great place to do a little claw cleaning and she put several holes in it. I went back to Amazon and decided to look at all the available silicone coated covers and I found this one. The one piece of advice I would give to anyone buying this cover is to make sure to install it nose end first."
"I knew that even if I found the right sized board cover it would be a constant hassle finding the right size to replace it again. I now have a standard sized board and this cover."
"Note: I used the new Ritz professional ironing board padding underneath and used regular fasteners to clamp onto the padding & cover beneath to keep it all in place. Ironing board fasteners are cheap to buy & will help keep it smooth & free from bulging."
"I just replaced an old, old, ironing board cover."
"Keep in mind, I have this on my narrower inexpensive extra board, over the flimsy cover that came with it along with some extra padding I had from an older muslin cover that had shrunk when I washed it."
"I was hesitant to order an ironing board cover online because I wanted to know I was getting a good one."

Hot steam penetrates deep into fabrics and relaxes fibers, releasing wrinkles faster than ironing and freshening clothes in seconds. Includes telescopic pole, attachable fabric brush and clothes hook.
Reviews
Find Best Price at Amazon"The telescopic pole is a little flimsy and a little too short in my opinion, but the hook provided to hang your garment on is easy to use. The included attachments make steaming easier provided you're using them for their intended purpose. This unit should include some locking castors for use on hard smooth flooring. Onto maintenance issues...this unit WILL clog eventually if you use tap water. I did not listen to this advice in any manual I have read about steamers and today I cleaned out 3 years of mineral build up from my Steamfast. Figuring it was clogged I eventually just decided to take it apart today and see if I could clean it myself."
"Two minor problems I have with this steamer - there are no brakes on the wheels so the steamer slides around while I'm steaming, and the telescoping pole isn't quite high enough for my taste. A pointer for those new to steaming - place the steamer head on the inside of your garment pushing steam from inside to out."
"I must say that it can't replace an iron, but it's so easy to use, definitely saves time."
"I've had a full basket of un-ironed clothes for as long as I can remember because he goes through so many and I HATE ironing. I also had a problem with the screw on the tank, and I contacted customer service and they sent a replacement right away."
"I'm reading a lot of reviews that say the same thing. It heats up so fast, made a lot of steam & the wheels easily roll."
"The telescopic pole is too short, the hose is too short, and it tips over."

Pros: - price, - size, - easy to use, - ready to use in less than 2 mins, - comes in carrying case, The mitt is nice but I've never used it. If this is to be used only in the house you may want a larger product to hold more water so you can do more items without stopping."
"I will warn you, it advises to NOT tip it, and keep in mind, it is filled with molten hot boiling water, so please be careful if you are a rushed mom getting ready for work, with little ones running around the house."
"Update 12/27: Once I got back to the US, the folks at TaoTronics proactively reached out to me to let me know that they had a new and improved version of this steamer. Update: The steamer I received must have been a lemon (worked once and then stopped), but the customer service was fantastic and worked quickly to make things right."
"It hold enough water to steam 2 lightweight shirts or 1 thicker shirt before you have to refill."
"I needed a new steamer for my work clothing This one is a very small unit and I tried it out and only got about 1 shirt done then had to refill it."
"This steamer can really remove wrinkles from my shirts and t-shirts. The only thing I don't like is it cannot hold much water so I have to refill water after ironing each shirt."

Find Best Price at Amazon"I have worked with the J-4000 as someone who worked in retail but wanted something a little smaller but by the Jiffy brand as their steamers are amazing. The J-2000 is very easy to fill with distilled water and provides about an hour to an hour and a half of steaming (all depends on the fabric you are steaming, Linen will really absorb the water and even with the j-4000, I was refilling it in about 45 minutes when our linen shipments arrived). The J-2000 heats quickly (with the J-4000 you allow the water to heat and them click it over to steam about a 20 minute process."
"Buy the Jiffy 2000 as a garment steamer to make your clothes look good."
"Go with the metal head it acts like an iron if needed. In theory, I also believe the metal head works better because it retains more heat is hotter when steaming up close."
"When it finally broke, I replaced it with this one and am happy with my new steamer."
"Does what it’s suppposd to do, remove wrinkles!"
"All the parts on the Jiffys are replaceable and it appears pretty simple to take apart and perform maintenance on it. We previously owned two other brand steamers (lots of cheap plastic - cheaper price) that succumbed to mineral deposits in a year or two (probably wouldn't have happened if we'd been more diligent in regularly flushing and cleaning them...but who wants to do that?)."
"I looked at the Rowentas because I loved my old unit, however I liked that that Jiffy was made in the U.S., had great reviews, and when I went into clothing stores they all seemed to have Jiffy's in their shops."

Find Best Price at Amazon"It’s no secret in our household that I detest the ‘ironing clothes’ task, and I have been very successful to avoid this chore for over 15 years. However, there is NO power switch, when the electrical cord plugs into the outlet it immediately starts to heat up, which takes about 4 minutes. Similar to the Travelaid, the Remington does NOT have any type of ‘on’ indicator display, there is NO automatic power off either, and there is not a way to see the amount of water within the steamer’s tank. The exterior gets scorching hot which burns and blisters the hand when touched immediately after, and the Remington steamer needs a long time to cool down before it’s safe to handle. Therefore, the Remington Steamer is a hazardous product as there is NO power switch, and there is no automatic turn off safety feature, and the exterior becomes blistering hot. However, for me, the most important characteristic is although the exterior does get warm, it never gets too hot to handle therefore there is NO risk of burning my hand as long it as I stay away from the front part of the nozzle where the steam comes out."
"Awesome product!"
"Some observations about using it: (1) only fill it about 2/3 full, otherwise water droplets will 'burp' over onto your material (2) I would only use distilled water unless you plan to clean it with, say vinegar, every so often (3) heats up quickly, usable within a minute."
"It's small and the tank is small BUT it works well, heats up quickly and delivers enough steam to dr-wrinle 1and 1/2 shirts."
"I had to fill the steamer several times throughout the process in order to fully steam four curtain panels, but that was not too surprising seeing as how they were brand new and extremely wrinkled."
"Not as fast as ironing, but it is nice to be able to get around curves without creating a crease."
