Find Best Price at Amazon"This is my third Jerdon makeup mirror, identical models, and I realized I coincidentally buy these about every three years. The slider is junky and the bulbs never quite line up properly for the "Day" setting. The Day setting is really the only useful one - the green, purple, and pink ones are ridiculous; they don't flatter anyone and they're not at all realistic to any home or office I've ever been in! When doing mascara or when you need to look down, you simply must have a mirror that swivels on a horizontal axis, like the Jerdon."

I found that waving my hand in front of the sensor (which is located on the top of the mirror) would make the light come back on but after doing that multiple times, it became a nuisance. I finally solved the problem by putting a small piece of delicate painters (opaque) tape over the sensor so that the light would not keep cutting off when I didn't want it to."

"I have always desired a lighted mirror for shaving since having one in a hotel room once. The mirror works flawlessly and does what it's supposed to: give me that lighted close up view to make sure I don't miss anything when shaving, and giving my wife the close-up for applying makeup. The sensor works flawlessly and requires you to get close enough that you'll avoid turning it on by just walking by. The base is a little over 4.5" in diameter, so it has a much smaller than typical footprint on whatever surface you place it. Having the power switch on the bottom of the base is the only thing not brilliant about the design. The costliest competitor I found was a same sized LED lit mirror with a power cord and no sensor or height adjustment for $130. Is the sensor, cordless power, extra long warranty, and height adjustment worth the $70 premium? BOTTOM LINE: It's the best lighted table mirror on the market hands-down.
