This humidifier holds up to 5 liters of water, which is the equivalent of 1 gallon and 1 extra quart in American measurements. I have not experienced any condensation, therefore the area, the furniture, and all around the location of this humidifier remains completely dry. I cannot say if it actually filters anything meaningful (chlorine, bacteria, etc), as I do not have the willingness or ability to test, but I can say it certainly does filter particulate as evident by clear water coming out of the tap while all my faucets produced a brown soup."

"Googling the issue with this filter you'll see it's really common on many other sites. I waited until my 2nd filter to now leave a review here (deleted my old review since I couldn't figure out how to add image while updating an old review). This is consistent with an old hack for the filter (that worked for me) of cutting out a plastic "washer" that assisted in pushing in the pointed button where the filter connects to. You can see this "pointed button" when you take out the filter and look at the filter head."

With a true HEPA filter that you replace once a year (opposed to once a month) it would save money in the long run. Set up was easy straight out of the box, and I put it out of traffic areas in the house. In fact with it on high I noticed a tag on the other side of the room (directly across) was moving on one of the toys yesterday as I was cleaning. I am super excited at the thought of having better air quality in the house so we dont have as many issues, and I know it will take probably a good month for me to be able to judge that (and trust me I keep up with our flair ups b/c my son sees a specialist so I can tell you if it will make a difference or not). Sorry took me so long to come back and update =) Fortunately if you see below I did give a heads up three weeks in we still loved it. Within the first month I stopped waking up with a stuffy nose, and it was taking particles out of the air so I wasn't seeing as much dust. We have since moved to a larger place, that has more sq footage in the den, and also two open doorways leading to other rooms. I think a big contributor to not catching it is because we had this unit running on high with the uv light."
