"Cut the material initially with scissors so that it is slightly too big, and fine trim with the knife. Best to use a plastic edger to squeegee the water from behind the film after it's mounted and cut to exact size. I used a wide metal joint compound knife- it works fine but there is a higher risk of tearing the film if you are not real careful. It comes off easily (no glue) if you decide to remove it and leaves no residue."
