In other words if no filament is in it, motor won't continue to run. The website sells extra tips and ABS for the pens. This pulling up action will draw a long thin pla line in the air, as it should. The pen is a bit clumsy but turning the work around with the other hand helps keep my eye on the line. It is somewhat difficult to get tiny curls and leaves when working on miniature projects."

The 5.9”² build area is accommodating, the machine has probably the nicest fit & finish of any of my other printers (heck, my FlashForge Creator is unfinished wood!). Things that are working very well or are huge benefits to the machine: • Motion electronics (how it moves the print bed & head, feeds filament, etc) are absolutely top notch, well engineered, and easy to use. The XYZ Printing team did a really wonderful job on the Prusa i3-style robot hidden underneath the child safe exterior. • LED button does a good job serving as a status display, as there are a number of colors and modes of blinking to show printer function. This gets a “neutral” because there is an upside - every roll is 100% guaranteed by XYZ not only to work well and to be of high quality (it sure seems to be), but also to be heavy metal and DEHP-free, non-toxic, and biodegradable. AND, lastly, some tips for people who pick this up: • Brim your prints if you have a hard time with adhesion. • One quick spritz of Aquanet hairspray (the purple can, available at most Walmart/Rite-Aid/CVS/Pharmacy Stores) on the build “surface” (masking tape sheets) will last a LONG time and might even make the first print or two very, very difficult to remove."

The VERY first thing you do is use an X-acto knife to cut away the corners of masking tape covering the bed screws! Use the provided Allen Key to lower the bed at each corner TWO full turns! To switch filament (Empty spool or different color) Preheat to 210 wait for it to reach that temp, extrude a little bit and then pull it out from up top). "My previous work was on a PolyPrinter - a great unit but more expensive than a Da Vinci and if business looks good I hope to upgrade at some point. That said, I suspect some other reviewers haven't had my advantages so I'm including a sort of walkthrough of my first print with the Da Vinci AiO. I may at some point change this review (4 stars) depending on scan accuracy which I haven't yet tested and the precision of the prints of different models. I rate this relative to what it promises - low cost 3d printing in a pretty complete experience. The print head is locked in place with custom plastic pieces and wires are held down with a heavy duty cable tie. Note that the Da Vinci has a cartridge system which inevitably means manufacturer only provided input ABS. I have no way to know if anyone has come up with a third party method of refilling the spools but that would be something to search for if you're frugal or doing lots of prints. One update later I closed it down, downloaded a pen from Thingiverse and prepared the bed with the recommended glue. Same problem though the larger surface in contact with the bed meant it held on a little longer. I'd expect misadjustments that small can come from anything - compression, stretch or minor changes in belts, fittings, springs, even the paper in the heating plate. Looks like my bad print left material on the detecting pin which is electronic so it has to be clean. After that I ran a geometric figure (came out fine). Summary: Pros. - Plug, calibrate and play. - Simple software. - Cartridge system simplifies ABS handling. - Nozzle cleaning system. - Relatively large printing surface. - Enclosed. - Comes with all required tools. - Comes with 1 spool of white ABS material. - Bed leveling utility/sensor. Cons. - Not fast (though not many 3d printers are). - Decalibrated during shipping despite sound packaging. - Software is walled gardenish - simple if clunky and not customizable."

"I was impressed upon opening it as the main filter housing unit seemed very high quality and heavy. You can push the lever down and hold it if you just need to fill a glass or you can flip it up until it locks and and it will continually dispense until you turn it off. Some of these faucets require a 1 1/2" hole, and that would concern me because I have a synthetic granite/composite sink that it tough as nails to drill into. TIP: Once you locate where you want the faucet mounted, get a thin piece of wood (such as a shim) and drill a 1/2" hole in it. In my case, it took me a good ten minutes to drill through my sink (probably a 1/4" thickness) and the bit was completely useless once I got through the surface. Once the hole is drilled to your liking, follow the illustration for assembling the hardware for the faucet and mount it. I have a 2200 square foot ranch that was built in the eighties with that nasty, defective polybutelene plumbing and, after a ruined master bath and another close call in the kitchen after owning the house for just 6 months, I had my plumber completely re-pipe to the tune of 5K. If you decide to do this, the only one you won't be able to use one on is the yellow line that goes from the RO unit to the tank (because it has a crimped-on special two-way valve). One word of caution though- if you do this be very careful and mindful that you are screwing a metal compression connector onto plastic threads on the unit. My advice, in hindsight, is to determine where you're going to want the unit and place it there prior to beginning the install. It took me longer than it probably would have taken most people, but I have a unique kitchen sink with funky plumbing (couldn't use 1/2" adapter included to feed system from faucet bottom, instead had to convert down to 3/8" and run from cold water valve)."

I'm using a Watts Premier 560087 as the 5th stage filter (last is the carbon filter) in our APEC ROES-50. Never had acid reflux before with our inline filtered water used to brew coffee. P.S - I know APEC makes a remineralizing/pH filter, but the Watts filter contains additional minerals such as magnesium and potassium, whereas the APEC filter is just calcium. It installs in between the tank and the tee, vs the 1-way "final filter" of the APEC (probably why it doesn't raise the pH that much - water passes through it too quickly). The tee just replaces the 1/4 x 1/4 x 1/4 existing tee on the RO system For the 3/8" final filter, I really like the Hydronix filters, I used B00D04BYIK (again, search on Amazon), but any 3/8 inline carbon filter will do."

I saw a review combined with a low price alert on one of the many gadget blogs I read and I accidentally bought this thing... I'm pretty sure the algorithm for moving around objects in the other robot vacs was better, but the algorithms don't mean much when the gadget can't effectively do its main purpose."
"We have owned several roomba early models over the years, and we have been mostly underwhelmed with overall suction, noise, and pickup power for the $300~$500 range robot vacuums. Skeptical but curious, we picked this "little RoboVac that could" on a whim, without expecting much given its' very reasonable price. This overgrown hockey puck eats more socks and stray underwear than our dogs! The suction on this compact little dust demon is so strong that the exhaust port on its side, makes our curtains billow from 5 feet away, while on MAX mode. In standard cleaning mode, our Euphy runs well over two hours on a single charge. Full disclosure, I sadistically tucked away the charging station three rooms away. This little dust, dirt, dog-hair, underwear, sock, phone charging cable gobbling little robot vacuum."
"The Eufy has only finished one vacuum cycle, so I clearly can't speak to longevity, but just some general early observations for anyone considering this brand new model. It picked up a lot of cat hair that the Roomba wouldn't have, and the floors look just as good as they do when we do a full vacuuming. The one issue I did find with this was that for things like chairs with dust ruffles, the Roomba would have gone right through the dust ruffle to clean under the chair, but the Eufy views it as a solid vertical surface and turns around to go somewhere else. Overall we're very happy with it so far, and my mind is blown that in three years, Anker managed to make a vacuum so much better than our old Roomba at around half the price."
