"It reminds me of things I bought in the past which I wasn't sure I needed, but once I started using them, wondered why I had waited so long. I've watched it disappear under low end tables and thought, "uh, oh, I'm going to have to rescue it from that tight space", and then it whirs, reverses, backs, jogs, tilts, and exits the maze and keeps on cleaning. Note to those who have trouble connecting it to their home wifi network: I had the same problem, but found I needed to stand very close (4-5 feet) to the unit when I started the network sync up, then everything went smoothly."
"Also the fact that Roombas are well known to not do a great job on carpet unless you buy the really expensive one and even then some people complain. Upon arrival I unboxed it and noted the high quality engineering, extra side brushes and spare filter. I let it run for about 30 minutes, then checked the pickup bin and was horrified at the amount of stuff this thing got off my man-cave carpet. Not a huge deal of course, but added a small 1-2lb piece of metal in the bottom would really improve the feel and stability of the station. Reluctantly I decided to check the catch bin and again was horrified at the amount of debris it picked up.. Where did it find all of those toenail clippings??? My wife was 100% impressed with how incredibly well it cleaned our first floor - a mix of rugs and hardwood. (Android) I had great difficulty getting the Deebot to connect to the app then realized why - I had AP Isolation on between SSID's.. Alternatively, you can put the Deebot into WLAN mode and connect directly to it from your phone/app using it's built in hotspot. So much so, I purchased a second one a couple days later since my wife refused to give up the little guy for the main floor. We have a dog and a cat, and kids.. We literally have to vacuum everyday to keep the house feeling and looking clean. I can imagine saving hundreds of hours of work over a year or two AND having a much cleaner home."
"We have a mixture of laminate floors, tile and carpet in our house, and we have 4 cats and 2 dogs that continuously shed so keeping the floors clean is a challenge. I use the DEEBOT about 3 times a week to clean the entire house and it keeps my floors super clean. I use the Spot Option every day to pick up the cardboard from the cat scratcher that my cat shreds, it's super easy to direct it to the spot I want cleaned and let it do it's thing. The DEEBOT is very easy to empty and the trash bin holds a lot for such a tiny vacumn and the filters are easy to clean, they even provide you with a special tool to clean the filters and roller."

"I ran it the day after my cleaner vacuumed and damp mopped my floors and it STILL came back full after doing my whole place. (In my reviews below, I noted I have a very conscientious cleaning person and a top of the line Oreck vacuum.). So in the end, I haven't felt the need to spend the extra on the 980, and I'm finding this unit to be reliable and very efficient at doing what it's supposed to do. It continues to pick up everything on the surface of my 1/2 carpet, 1/2 hardwood single story 3BR place. However, it can only find its home if it starts and runs uninterrupted - not moved manually for any reason. Also, since my place takes about two full cycles to clean the entire floor, then I usually just start it in the middle of the home, the one one day, I'll put the lighthouse/virtual wall on one side, and the next day, I'll put it on the other side - and it works perfectly, taking about 1 full battery cycle and filling the bin. So, if you can afford the luxury of a robot vacuum, I think this is probably one of the best buys out there - and certainly one of the most entertaining since it's not always just bumping into things in a circle - it continues to be "smart" and to navigate in a very intentional manner, which still impresses me. I had a 1st generation roomba many years ago and it was basically an okay floor sweeper, hardly a real vacuum. The 880 kinda bugged me - I have a 3BR/2BA apartment with a utility room - small, but I'm a single guy with a few dogs that don't shed too much. It's a little random at times, but to see it INTENTIONALLY head out of one room, go down the hall, and then hit the Kitchen is truly inspiring to me. Yep, it's actually doing some basic thinking here - nothing magic, just better software and a camera to help it map where it's been and how to get home. For me, with the complexities of my apartment here - and to ensure it actually does the job , finishes it, and gets all the nooks and crannies that Roombas do - I think the 960 is a worthy update."
"I was literally at my wits end with dog hair, crumbs from toddler and sloppy husband. I was optimistic on the hardwood floors and tile but very pleasantly surprised at its performance on area rugs and carpet. Pros. Dog hair gone. No crumbs. More likely to allow family to stay in house. Does good job on edges. Gets under some furniture. Nice app. Great on hardwood floors and rugs. Hasn't fallen down stairs. Cons. Larger than expected. Small bin which I understand since it can't be huge."
"I have always been impressed with their ever-improving functionality (trustworthy obstacle and terrain navigation, reliable parts, proficient vacuum performance) and accepting of their necessary physical limitations (small bin size, limited battery life and motor power). It's a little thing, but coming home after a 12 hour day at work to freshly cleaned carpets restores an inordinate amount of sanity. Roomba 960 navigates efficiently and has no problem with the usual household obstacles, picks up a bin full of dust and small hairs every day, from hard surfaces and carpet alike, which keeps the air noticeably clearer and makes a huge difference for those with allergies. Having a robot vacuum is a huge privilege, but when it exacerbates the exact problem I was trying to solve when I bought it, I feel pretty disappointed in my purchase."

iRobot Roomba 980 Robot Vacuum with Wi-Fi Connectivity
Size: R980. Runs for up to 120 minutes, then automatically recharges and resumes cleaning to complete the entire job.
Reviews
"Instead of quickly being able to dump it, you may be forced to pry out some of the dirt bunnies or to tap the bin against the trash multiple times to empty it. The loudness is honestly not something that concerns me so much, as I run this generally when I leave the house or before I wake up (I'm a "medium" sleeper). My room is on the second floor with thick walls and the robot is loud enough to hear even with the AC on, though it isn't too noticeable. This robot has picked up a lot of sand particles as well as large layers of dust and lint, even though I run my 655 downstairs at least 3x a day for the past 4 weeks. The cleaning on the 980 is so much more efficient than the 655, my longest job taking 53 minutes vs 2 hours on the 655 allegedly for 400 sqft of space. Unfortunately, due the iRobot's design using the camera and computer vision to map out the cleanable area, the Roomba will not work in total darkness. The Roomba effectively finds the base even though I have housed it underneath furniture to save more room. The 980 also requires an app to be able to create schedules as well as operate the cleaning and includes a bunch of different features you can access from the convenience of your phone, vs a physical remote. In the Neato Connected bot, you can actually control the robot to move to a specific place for a spot clean. It would be cool to have access to different navigation algorithms (i.e. random paths) when you are using the Roomba in a dark area. However, I do not believe that the convenience justifies the expensive price tag at this time until much more functionality is added to the mobile application. But because the software can indeed be updated, including the cleaning-navigation algorithms of the 980, this robotic vacuum is essentially future proof and a good buy if you have the disposable income to burn. I want to help others make more informed purchasing decisions by providing reviews that accurately describe the product and my experiences with it."
"I purchased the Roomba 980 as my 5th robotic vacuum (I've previously owned the Roomba 880, Neato BotVac 65, Roomba 655, Neato XV-11, and a few more). It's apparent it's generating much more suction power than the Roomba 880. • I am running the 980 3 hours after my Roomba 880's scheduled cleaning today. Navigation Observations. • The Roomba 980 does indeed draw straight lines in open areas, which is excellent. • Unlike the Neato (which likes to circle off a region around the edges before then drawing straight lines), the Roomba 980 goes right down to drawing straight lines. Remember how before, if you had black chair legs or some other IR-invisible obstacle, Roomba would ram it at full speed over and over again? Other than that, I actually think it cleans faster than the Neato BotVac 65 that I have -- it's much quicker to make its turns when drawing lines, and it spend much less time paused and thinking. I have an IKEA Poang chair in a dimly lit room, and I observed the robot go under and out of the chair maybe 3 times in total, seemingly confused every time it hit one of the chair legs. • Roomba cannot cope with pitch black rooms -- If Roomba goes into a room that's completely dark, it sometimes will get totally confused and stop with a fault code. • Finding the base: The Roomba goes back to its home base by first navigating to about 5 feet in front of the base. • Speaking of finding the base: I've found that it takes some amount of time / cleaning for Roomba to get its bearings about where its base is. • Unlike the Neato, the Roomba navigation algorithm does not appear to be sensitive to moving objects in the frame, or you observing it. The App. • Roomba made a ballsy move -- it's not so much that the 980 has an app -- it requires an app to access a lot of functionality. Once you do, the app pairs to the Roomba, and you can hop back to your original wifi and control it. There is no cloud account to create for controlling the Roomba, which is great if you live with roommates and want all of them to share access to the Roomba without having to all agree on an email / password. • When Roomba goes back to charge, the app shows a countdown of how many minutes until Roomba continues. It cleans methodically from where it starts, and it spends most of its time doing straight line cleaning, with very few pauses to think. All previous Roombas instructed you to charge the robot for hours before using it. Overall Impressions So Far. • This does seem to be a best-of-both-worlds robot: It has the obstacle / cord-tangle immunity of the Roomba 880, plus navigation smarts that would make a Neato sweat. The price tag is pretty insane, but so far it's definitely taking its place as the leading mapping robot (of course, barring the Dyson 360 Eye we haven't seen in the USA yet). The Roomba 980's form of navigation absolutely feels more robust than the Neato's. Roomba boasts its use of "sensor fusion", and I think the main customer benefit there is that the robot remembers when it hits an obstacle it didn't see with the vision camera, and will remember that and avoid hitting it over and over again."

[Power Boost Tech] Eufy RoboVac 11+, High Suction, Self-Charging Robotic Vacuum Cleaner, Filter for Pet, Cleans Hard Floors to Medium-Pile Carpets
Power Boost Technology: New feature automatically increases suction power when extra vacuuming strength is needed to get the best clean.

"I've owned 3 of the original, better well known robot vacs and I always felt like none were really engineered to work in a real family environment (area rugs, pets, kids, etc...). I saw a review combined with a low price alert on one of the many gadget blogs I read and I accidentally bought this thing... I'm pretty sure the algorithm for moving around objects in the other robot vacs was better, but the algorithms don't mean much when the gadget can't effectively do its main purpose."
"We have owned several roomba early models over the years, and we have been mostly underwhelmed with overall suction, noise, and pickup power for the $300~$500 range robot vacuums. Skeptical but curious, we picked this "little RoboVac that could" on a whim, without expecting much given its' very reasonable price. This overgrown hockey puck eats more socks and stray underwear than our dogs! The suction on this compact little dust demon is so strong that the exhaust port on its side, makes our curtains billow from 5 feet away, while on MAX mode. In standard cleaning mode, our Euphy runs well over two hours on a single charge. Full disclosure, I sadistically tucked away the charging station three rooms away. This little dust, dirt, dog-hair, underwear, sock, phone charging cable gobbling little robot vacuum."
"The Eufy has only finished one vacuum cycle, so I clearly can't speak to longevity, but just some general early observations for anyone considering this brand new model. It picked up a lot of cat hair that the Roomba wouldn't have, and the floors look just as good as they do when we do a full vacuuming. The one issue I did find with this was that for things like chairs with dust ruffles, the Roomba would have gone right through the dust ruffle to clean under the chair, but the Eufy views it as a solid vertical surface and turns around to go somewhere else. Overall we're very happy with it so far, and my mind is blown that in three years, Anker managed to make a vacuum so much better than our old Roomba at around half the price."
"Small and quite quiet. Dust bin the size of vermont. Dog hair disappeared."

"This cat is a litter flinger."
"At first I did not like the fact that it could not be hung up on the wall with the charger plugging into it like my previous dustbusters. The fact that it is Lithium Ion is great that it should last longer and perform better than previous nicad batteries."
"3- Each time after vacuuming. you need to really clean the inside good - otherwise, next time will not get the good suction."
"Can I express my love for a vacuum? This vacuum is top notch!"
"Early in the squash season (summer squash and zucchini are the stink bug’s favorite prey) I lift stink bug eggs from the leaves of my plants with duct tape. In defense of my helpless plants this year, I started vacuuming stink bugs from my plants every day and flushing them down the toilet. I can suck up lots of stink bugs before I have to empty the vacuum. PICTURES: I am including pictures of the vacuum full of stink bugs as well as a shot of stink bugs in the garden. It does a great job sucking up stink bugs as they cling to leaves and straw and I can only imagine how great it would be at cleaning up stuff that doesn’t resist being sucked into it."
"So I was worried about buying this hand vacuum because some of the reviews said the suction isn't very strong and/or it dies fast and doesn't stay charged. I have two dogs who always tracks dirts inside when they go out and come back and a rabbit who sheds insanely."

"I dont know what to do with all the extra time I save now that I poop faster."
"Then it went from bad to worse... adding blood and could no longer pass my rainbow snow cones of Fallout 4 style waste. Usually in a 3 week interval I'd get very sick and spend 3-4 hours in about 9-10 trips of liquid dookie stew and could barely function for the next 48 hours. In fact I think I'm starting to feel better and my cramps are no longer happening. I swear to God, when I go on my next road trip, I'm taking the damn thing with me, and IDGAF if my friends laugh at me. This damn thing may have saved my health and possibly my life."
"You may think I'm just some made up spam account, but I honestly have bought multiple squatty potties."
"I bought this about a month ago for my wife and I, and really wanted to get some good time in with it before I wrote this review. We are pretty healthy people, work out when possible, and have no "problems" when it comes to #2. Sit down, pull it out from the toilet, put your feet up, and bombs away!"
"I gave it 5 stars because it's a 5 star product."
"Maybe it's always been a struggle to squeeze one out with feet flat on the floor, but I never noticed how hard I was flexing my abdominal muscles before owning this product! The better question is this: with the ease in which I now do my daily colon dance, do I care if they are related?"

"Like everyone who owns a Dyson, you think the expensive price tag equals quality. I was hesitant at the price tag considering it was relatively half priec of my previous vacuum. He referred me to a website that does third party testing on vacuum cleaners. I noticed it brought the pile on the carpet back to life and wasn't too loud."
"I will be honest, this wasn't my first choice when I went vacuum shopping, but it won me over. Our cleaning lady has raved about hers for so long, I thought I'd give it a try. I like the lift away feature the Rotator Professional has to make vacuuming the stairs that much easier! When my Shark first arrived, I was impressed with the size and weight of the box. We have one room that is high traffic and the carpet gets blah fast. Wow...I could not believe the cup of dog hair and dirt it picked up! A simple push of the button and you can go from hardwood straight to carpet! The only thing that I miss with this vacuum is the wider width of the path. I am very happy and looking forward to a long lasting relationship with my vacuum!"

"This unit has so much suction that it will lift up area rugs while vacuuming. It's very easy to maneuver while wearing the vacuum and areas that we had to go over two and three times with a standard vacuum are now clean after one pass. Rooms that took an hour to vacuum, are now being done in 30-45 minutes. When you compare it too the Wide Area Windsor vacuum that I just replaced with this ProTeam unit, I can honestly say I'll never buy another Wide Area vac again. After using this vacuum for almost 2 months, I'm ready to buy another one for a new cleaning contract we just signed."

Dyson V6 Trigger - Cordless
Suction Power(Max): 100AW.
Reviews
"Just place the vac on the stand to charge; Dyson: plugin adapter; no accessory stand. Dirt Canister. BD main body is the canister; door is clear to see contents; access simply by pulling the handle to the door and pouring out the contents. Dyson: clear cylinder shaped canister; easy to see how full it is; but to empty you have to slide the release which is in an ackward position that is hard to reach and get hold of. Ergonomics. BD the handle is centered over the top of the vac; weight is well balanced; vac is round. Dyson: Handle is at the backend of the vac like holding a pistol; weight is all sticking straight out; overall look is square. Both have their advantages: BD feels more comfortable long use, Dyson can reach into places better. The lower power works fairly well but true comparison with the DB is the max level. But with the Dyson on max power the running time is cut to a third according to their own feature list. Noise. Neither is horribly loud; according to the free (but hardly accurate) decibel meter on my iPhone both register about 95; literally they are about equal except the Dyson is a higher pitch. The Dyson's straight on design makes it easier to get into places and you don't have to bend over quite as much."
"It has a noticeably lighter vacuum portion, slightly larger handle, a higher pitch sound, a slighter larger (blue) "Max" button, and a charge indicator near the trigger. Three important notes on this machine: 1) It is ONLY the handheld "dust-buster" version that come with a brush (shown) and a pointed vacuum attachment for small items and corners. This device is expensive but worth the money, and you can build you collection of attachments to fit most small home/office needs."
"After I had it for about 2 months, it stopped working. This time they told me it wasn't under warranty any longer (even though I sent it to them when it was under warranty and they didn't fix it). The dyson rep. said that was probably the original problem, but since filters weren't covered under warranty, they didn't fix it, or bother to send a new one. So, for almost $200.00 I got a cordless vac that worked for about 2 months!"
"When we got the Dyson V6 it never worked more than 2 days."
"It was pretty to look at and sounded like a an airplane engine (pro and con)."

"I am the crazy dog lady who will take in abandoned, unwanted dogs. I bought this because my dog groomer recommended using the blower feature to blow out shedding dog coats more easily than brushing and more cheaply than taking multiple dogs to the groomer every two months."
"Had purchased different brand which had short Rigid hose and one narrow floor attachment. ceiling and HE PA bag great for floor sanding dust, joint compound and cleaning pellet stove ash."
"Attaching the wheels, handles, and dust filter inside the unit was easy. Although, it has a user's manual that probably covers various models of Shop Vac units, so some of the details and steps in the manual do not apply. For sucking up saw dust in the garage, the dust filter inside the vac does an excellent job containing all the dust. I was able to find a fitting (a 2 1/4 to 2 1/2) where the 2 1/4 fitting directly plugs into the shop vac and I have a hose connected to the 2 1/2 end which leads to the wood tools."
"I create lots of dust and wood chips."
"The only thing that I miss in this Shop Vac is the plug in cord is very short, but I would still buy this Shop Vac because of its size and suction."
"This product is excellent for what I purchased it for; sucking up sawdust generated from power tools during use."
"We only had that happen once and it was because the lid wasn't on properly."
"The accessories clip where you attach the different vacuum attachments is right below the air output vent."

"That goes down to 25 with the motorized tool, and down to 7 minutes on “max mode.” The canister can also hold a good amount of dirt, and has a new mechanism that scrapes the sides of the bin when being emptied. The new soft roller cleaner head works well for hardwood floors, but on corners, I find myself having to go back with the crevice tool to finish the job. I use the direct drive cleaner head for low pile carpets, but the mini motorized tool works better for shag rugs (and car floor mats/upholstery)."
"Got mine yesterday, charged it, vacuumed my downstairs with it this morning. By the time I was finished, the skin on the knuckle at the base of my thumb was worn off from being rubbed on the handle above the switch where there is a little plastic "seam"."
"I was familiar with the V6 so I kept waiting for the battery to exhaust it's charge but it kept going. We have a long haired German Shepard and had to empty the V8 three times."
"I find it hard to believe that a company that spends a great deal of time marketing the design excellence of its product would fail so wholly at something so basic as phone customer service and parts replacement. In November I began the process of trying to replace the part thinking a simple call would take care of things, but was stymied on a few occasions by hold times above 30 minutes, and it wasn’t until December 17 when I finally had the time to 'wait it out' and speak to a representative. After he apparently pulled a demo unit out to see what I was talking about (I offered to email photos) and tried to convince me that the crimp obstructing nearly 50% of the hose diameter was part of the design, he created an order for a part and informed me that in 5-8 business days my problem would be solved. After more than 50 minutes, I reached a representative who then had to place me on a further hold to tell me that parts were not available for the vacuum since it was so new, and that in order to replace the part, I would have to replace the entire vacuum. I was told without any humor that replacing the part cannot be completed without my FIRST going to a UPS store with the vacuum and its attachments, receiving a tracking number, and then CALLING customer service back. Even glacially slow-to-adopt USPS allows callers to opt out of physical hold times and receive a phone call back in the order they were received."
