"You do not wrap the wire around the screw nor push the wire in and hope that the gauge is appropriate for whatever spring mechanism is in there - you push the wire in and then tighten the hidden clamp. The screws of the hot wire will still be hot, but it's better than having an extra wire wrapped around it, making it protrude more and be more likely to come within striking distance of the uninsulated ground wire when everything gets crammed back in the wall."
