"Once at our destination it has never failed us, even on ten mile jaunts through cities such Washington DC, or two trips to Disney where we logged over 20,000 steps while my son used this chair. We have not yet flown with the newer, larger model but it seems that it should still easily fit at gate check or in mobility device storage at the front of the aircraft."
"I just wish that I could have gone somewhere to try the chair before buying it, but I imagine that I would find something that did not suit me with any of these folding wheelchairs There are no returns or refunds, so be sure this is what you want. What was truly amazing is that I ordered this chair on Monday and it was on my doorstep two days later...all the way from Malaysia. March 2017 Update: It's almost two years later and I have not been able to use this chair because of the pain in my legs when pressed against the framework."
"My orthopedic surgeon was amazed and will recommend to other patients. Ingenious design and exceptional customer service!"
"My chair unloaded easily, handled the pitted, uneven front driveway of my school easily, went in and out of the elevator, traversed classrooms and offices, tracked smoothly through the long halls and navigated the space between the tables and lab benches in C-5. I was worried about how to carry my oxygen concentrator, but an inexpensive Drive walker basket snaps right onto the bar in back. It accommodates flexible positions, including a modified Royal Ease when you're parked and lift the arm. We took it to my medical appointments at BIDMC and it whisked me through the long skyways connecting the buildings, pivoted on a dime in the elevators, waited sedately in line to sign in, pulled right up to the lung function machine, and mercifully got me into the rest rooms without assistance. You can't always go straight down on a slope, and the most challenging situations were driveways that cut through the sidewalk in steep areas, so I was tilted sideways a little."

Find Best Price at Amazon"I have been using this chair for 5 weeks now; my previous chair was a Pride J6 about 5 years old so I'm going to compare the Elite 14 with that because there is a vast performance improvement of a 14" front drive wheel over an 8" mid drive wheel. Where this chair really excels is its mobility, it goes just about anywhere from grass, uneven brick pavement, dirt and even loose sand which is mostly what my yard consists. With the J6 I would get stuck as soon as went off pavement and hitting any bumps on broken concrete would throw the chair into hard and violent turns as one wheel stops while the other keeps going. The seat back shape has changed so that when making a hard turn, the seat back does not swing around and hit things and tear the upholstery to shreads as the J6 did."

Find Best Price at Amazon"I am a Cerebral Palsy individual that was treated with compassion and respect from the customer service line. They hooked me up with the Voyager R2 and was very surprised that it arrived at my house in 2 days picking the free shipping method. Upon opening and unboxing I found the level of detail with this chair was quite stunning to be honest. One thing that isn’t mentioned in the manual that I need to address is when you fold this device, behind the motors are a little switch connected to the little tiny wheels. When it is folded, there are switches on the motors themselves which need to be turned to manual mode to move while transporting. It runs slowly when trying to find a even surface or just going out to get the mail it takes forever to keep the pace. The speed of this unit on flat surfaces is great but tends to slow down drastically if you barely turn left or right, sometimes stopping completely. They claim that this chair is super light weight and it can be easily put in car trunks. If I were to change anything it would be, comfort of sitting, bigger sitting area, adjustable seat rest, foot rest, and a head rest with reclining ability, lighter device for transport, cup holders, faster mobility speed, better stability on uneven surfaces and the ability to go in grass, plugs for electronic device like cell phones to have a charge or to plug in medical devices, and just a nice little added feature that wouldn’t have to be included, heated seats or a massage feature. I know I’m asking a lot but for a chair that doesn’t live up to the description, I am slightly disappointed and know there is potential in this company. Hope this review helped anyone considering to buy this model and any questions feel free to ask."
"Recently I saw someone driving around one of the these folding electric wheelchairs and started looking at many of the models and offering between several manufactures online, I called and talked to these dealers and I have to say Forcemech’s guys are very caring and honest about their offerings. I could go around my house and the surrounding grounds without any issues, even on occasional trip on gravel path, does not do well on lawn but their support made that clear before I got the chair. I called them once at 9PM on Sunday, they got people answering the phone and help me with my questions, they treat their customer right and I hope they continue to do so in the future."
"The forcemech R2 is light enough to pickup and pack into the car, I got the chair for my mother who has hip issues and she loves it."
"arrived well packed and the chair working as advertized, five stars."

Find Best Price at Amazon"About three years ago, my mom bought me a Drive transport chair for what we thought was just a lingering, but short-term problem. My shoulders are still on again/off again, but I am *tired* of *just* a transport chair and want to be able to move around on my own if I decide to wander off - and doing that easily isn't possible in a transport. I checked out standard manual chairs at a medical supply store near the main hospital here, and found one that converts from manual to transport (also made by Drive), but this one actually makes more sense for me, and I'll tell you why. I've also included some pictures that may help you: PRICE & AVAILABILITY: The "transformer" chair (changes from transport to manual) costs around $700 locally. FEATURES I LOVE: ~I love, love, love the fact that I can push a button and lift the armrests and put them behind me so I can roll under a table more easily. Consider that when you pack things into the pocket, because if you have a backpack, it may bounce into your back, and you don't want a bunch of awkward things in that pocket because it'll be uncomfortable. It can't get whole lot lighter than that for a chair like this. When I put the armrests back down, I have to fidget with the cushion. I think most seat cushions will be a tight fit so if you're buying this as a new chair, you'll want to check the seat cushion you have or are planning to buy. The reason this is an issue is that the back of the top part of the seat fabric hits my back (I'm 5 foot, one inch) at a different height than the transport, and if the O2 backpack straps slide toward me, it makes for an uncomfortable ride. ~The handlebars do not come out as far as the ones on the transport chair. It's not an issue for the people who push me, but if you hang a lot of stuff on the back of your chair, you might find that the straps start to dig into your back. OVERALL: I really do like this chair. If I could afford to shell out the $2K for this one Smart Chair - Electric WheelchairSmart Chair - Electric Wheelchair, I would, but I can't."
"However, when mine arrived, the paint was scarred and scratched and the screw holding one of the arm latches was bent. If Drive Medical reads this, I have a suggestion... Don't just put the footrests inside without covering them so they will not scratch and dent the paint and bend other functional parts."
"After about six hours my knees were aching like crazy, even though the foot supports were only about one inch off from what I needed. I had an easy time on short, Berber-style carpeting inside of shops, but bogged down a bit on anything deeper. The swing-back arms are a nice help for getting under lower restaurant tables, but stick out a bit too much for crowded rooms. I'm thinking to take red ribbons to tie on them next time so that they're a bit more visible in a packed cafe. A homemade seat cushion, a pair of gloves, a backpack, and a cargo net have all been added. (I found that the low and wide Lilly Bloom style with the outside pockets on either end fits like it was specifically designed for it!). The chair came with a tiny adjustment tool, but the bolts on the brakes are so locked into place that none of the dozens of people who've tried have been able to turn them at all."
"This chair rolled 15ft before the right front wheel BROKE OFF (see photos) dumping my wife forward on the ground!!!"

"Light & practical, easily fits in trunk, does NOT mark floors, easily (e.g., carrying 140-lbs) navigates sidewalks & parking lots."
"Sadly, the chair came missing a couple of nuts that hold the seat in place."
"Exactly the same as the old one with the exception of brake handles on the handholds which is a great idea and they work."
"Very lightweight and compact."
"They need to replace plastic handle releases with metal."
"I bought this for my husband back in November 2016."
"The other problem, and this is a deal breaker, is that the lever that is depressed to fold down the seat back, on the left, was initially hard to depress. I was able to get it to depress a couple of times but it was pretty hard to do. I was trying to fold up the chair to get it into the van, after my husband's PT appointment and the lever broke completely off when I tried to depress it."
