"Especially love the fact that you can wear it around your neck and shoulder area without worrying about the pad falling off."
"This is the third one I've purchased as they only last about a year before completely not heating or failing to heat past a low temperature. I use the heating pad almost daily for both neck/shoulder as well as lower back and, when working properly, it provides very good heat."
"Five Stars based on previous use of product, and excellent customer service."
"While refers to use for the shoulder, I got for my knees and it works great better than those flat square ones."
"Best heating pad for reducing stress and helping with neck and upper back strain."
"This heating pad is a step up from normal rectangles because it really wraps around your neck and shoulders."
"There's a magnet that holds it in place in the front so I can lay back on my pillow and not need to fuss with it staying wrapped around my neck."
"It heats up nicely than goes to lukewarm...even on the high setting."

"Next, you'll notice that one side is covered in an extremely soft, thick, microfiber fabric that feels fabulous on your skin. It has small perforations all over the top to allow the heat from the pad to rise so it seems like it would provide more protection from accidental burns. What's really cool is that because this pad is washable, you can also apply moist heat to your body by dampening the fabric cover using a spray bottle. This is a great feature because things like cellulitis and other skin infections often call for moist heat treatment."
"At the maximum setting of 6, it produces between 100 and 104 degrees of surface heat in the open air while lying on a table. I moved an infrared thermometer across the edges and diagonally across the surface in the video below."
"My wife suffers from chronic low back pain, and we both have arthritic hands, so a good heating pad is a must. Included with the heating pad is a fabric bag with a pull string closure for easy storage. For those who lost or did not get instructions with theirs, to use moist heat you have to moisten just one side of the pad with water using either a sponge or bottle sprayer. The display is also backlit when the heating pad is turned on, making it much easier to read in low light. Pressing the Auto Off button on the controller allows you to toggle between the automatic 2 hour shut off or to stay on. If a power outage occurs while using the heating pad the Auto Off feature will reset back to its automatic shut off after 2 hours. It is more expensive than other heating pads you can buy, but its larger size, better construction, and lengthy warranty make it a worthwhile price to pay."
"It would have gotten 5 stars, but you can disconnect the pad from the cord, which is great, but you have to push so hard on both sides to undo the latch that I broke two nails."
"So each night when we settle in to watch a bit of TV, I end up laying on this cozy thing."

"To describe the fabric further, the top is but like a soft terry microfiber and the bottom is like a typical blue heating pad cover fabric. The cover is integrated INTO the pad. The integrated pad cover doesn't slip off while in use and ruin the shape of the plastic pad as the cover is being held on by a plastic snap pulled tight to end of the pad as the cover slips off the other side. The integrated pad cover doesn't slip off, exposing the super hot plastic which can burn the skin. This may mean washing is more of a hassle, and a risk for losing the pad sooner, but for me the softness and worry-free USE of the integrated pad cover greatly out-weighs the con of losing a pad sooner due to machine washing wear and tear. The latter option is something I have never had in a pad before and I like it as it lets me put the pad on "1" and set it at the end of my bed for keeping my toes warm all night. Though I've paid $25-30 for cruddy pads with the flimsy blue cover held on with a snap from Wal-Mart, so $36 for this awesome pad doesn't seem too shabby a deal. When you put the pad on unlimited timer it seems to waver, and not stay super hot, so people that want endless searing heat may not be happy with this. Bottom line: This is one of the better pads you can get your hands on with it's lovely integrated cover, good size and long cord. Since "cheap" pads aren't a heck of a lot less expensive, if you use your pad on any sort of regular basis I recommend this as a good upgrade. Hope this review is helpful and that you find comfort in your heating pad! Best pad I have ever had - hands down. It still heats evenly and the fuzzy cover is nice looking for an oft-used and washed pad. I do very much like it, and I have had a ton of pads. UPDATE 02/04/2017: When another shopper left a comment on my review I saw that the burgundy pad was up for about $10 off the normal price and since I use this pad so much, and prefer it so much over any other that I have used in the past - I snapped it up for a spare. When someone in the household needed a pad we gave the new one a try and they liked it the same as I love mine, as it is just as functional and comfortable as the first pad, with fast hot heat, 2hr/stay on shut-off options and the big soft washable fabric cover. UPDATE 11/28/2017: It's been awhile since I updated, but since it's finally getting cold - after a long, hot summer and early/mid autumn - and I've begun to use these pads again to warm my feet and core, instead of just for pain."
"Even though the cover isn't removable, the cord disconnects from the pad and the whole thing can be washed. A tip if you're having problems with the controller not working and displaying an "F" on the LCD: If the heating pad becomes disconnected from the power cord, the controller doesn't seem to know what to do when you plug it back in. To fix this, first make sure the pad is plugged into the cord securely."
"Originally bought this for myself, but turns out my sweet little kitten loves it too!"
"This is exactly what I need to help me manage my chronic back pain. So I'm not too sure how long it will last before it either malfunctions or burns my house down. Triggered my safety switches around the house."
"I ordered this a year ago and it worked great until the control mechanism melted."
"Turned it on today and after 5 minutes it started to melt the control panel."
"I have had this heating pad for 2 months and it has quit working and flashing an F on the control."
"That is, until the other day when I went to adjust the temperature and the controller felt hot."

Reviews
"Because of severely injured and multi surgery back I use this product every night to get some pain relief and sleep. Having the household hot water heater on maximum this bag endured where those at CVS would only last a month despite their lifetime warranties."
"Nice clear hot water bottle."
"I can't say it keeps me warm all night long though, it's becomes cold about 5 hours after."
"That "lemony" smell that other reviewers mentioned has pretty much gone away, it doesn't bother me at all, and I'm pretty sensitive to odd odors."
"This water bottle hasn't failed me yet and I've found it to be still warm 12 hours later tucked under my bed blankets...not exactly as hot as I first popped it in my blankets but it's still warm to the touch."
"Warm, soft, smooth, put almost boiling water into it, and it was perfect to the touch (not too hot), and has completely soothed my pain. After the water cools down, I pour it into dirty pots and pans to be used in washing so as not to waste the water."
"This is a fabulous hot water bottle for any purpose."
"We had one for long time, but broken a few months ago."

Best Cold Packs

Chattanooga ColPac Reusable Gel Ice Pack Cold Therapy for Back, Thigh/Quad, Hamstring, Shoulder for Aches, Swelling, Bruises, Sprains, Inflammation (12.5"x18.5") - Black
ColPac provides effective relief of pain from cold therapy.
Reviews
"I've always used the blue vinyl Colpacs to recover from several athletic injuries/surgeries and to help both relieve pain and settle down swelling from overuse of my aged limbs and back. I've always believed that as you age you have to keep moving in order to enjoy a full life, but some of us need a little help now and then to remind us not to overdo certain things. They answered my email within two hours and by the end of the day had shipped out two replacement units--with no required return of the faulty ones."
"I have tried MANY different ice packs over the last 12 years - I have suffered from many injuries and chronic joint pains (knees, hips, shoulders, wrists), and have had 2 back surgeries (fusion). Now you can imagine with so many injuries, surgeries and severe chronic joint pain, that I have probably tried many brands of ice packs - I definitely have! They get cold fast, and even when ice cold, they still are flexible - I LOVE this, as it makes it easy to wrap around my shoulder, or over my knee, or against my back, etc."
"Pros: -Gets VERY cold, so make sure you use a thick towel between you and the icepack. -Stays cold for about an hour. I've been able to use it for my hip and neck in the same sitting. -Doesn't lose its ability to get cold again each time I toss it into the freezer (I had a clay one that no longer gets cold no matter how long I leave it in the freezer)."
"I live with just one other person (my boyfriend) and prior to this purchase, there was a need for a good ice pack at least a few times per week. These are the ones physical therapists use for clinic work- meaning, they won’t leak, drip, fall apart, or crap out. In my opinion, the lining is thick enough to use it with just a T-shirt between it and my back (most ice packs state they should be wrapped in a towel to prevent skin damage.)."
"The contour of this is very good for neck and shoulder pain."
