Find Best Price at Amazon"With only one spring, slide the pulley on the spring less side in away from the end bracket. There is only one, even if you have two springs. (make sure there is no tension, this is the side you wind with the rods (ONLY THE RODS). slide the whole shaft away from the side with the spring to be able to remove the pulley on the spring side. Wind cable on first pulley and align the marks (you placed earlier on pulley "both sides" and shaft. Take a vice grip and clamp shaft so cable now installed on pulley cannot unwind. Do same on other side, wind cable on pulley and then align marks."

"I went to a big box store and found a lid support to mount in the center that did the trick for me in conjunction with these struts. It is possible to calculate how much Newton force you need based on the weight of the lid, but hey who has time for math these days."
"They really work good i used them to make a custom floating entertainment with storage and they work like a charm i definately will buy some more..."
"the previous hook to hold up the door had malfunctioned more times than I can count and it was a painful blow to the head or my hand."
"Although it took me drilling several holes on the inside of the chest I installed these on, it's not the product's fault."
"I used these (comes in a set of 2) to hold the lid of a toy chest open (lid is 2'x4'x.75" wood)."
"Product itself is ok, I ordered the wrong size so it doesnt quite work as a soft close but that is my error not the products, so why only three stars?, it was a bit difficult to snap the part you screw in to the actual closing mechanism, in fact one of the metal pieces inside broke in the proccess."
"The two work ok on a small toy box lid, still need to close it slowly or it could slam though."

Find Best Price at Amazon"I can air them up to 40-50 psi when I am loaded and the truck sits level to a tad higher in the rear and I still get a nice smooth ride at the same time. As for load capacity, I've hauled up to 6 pallets of sod on my Equipment trailer and a skid steer twice and the truck does not sit low a bit in the rear."
"-Installable with a friend and some tools (Floor jack, Jack stands, Sockets and wrenches) but by no means is it easy. -Ride quality was still very nice given the conditions. -They do leak a little air over time. I also have to overshoot my target pressure by about 10 psi do to the little bit that is released when I pull the chuck off."
"It only took a couple of hours to install the air ride."
"One thing to note: I added a AirLift WirelessOne compressor kit soon after discovering that with my set-up I had to lower the pressure when hitching or unhitching (In retrospect I could have put some wood blocks under the jack but I also really wanted on-board air) but the standard set up with the valves works fine just make sure to check all fittings with soapy water in a sprayer and you'll be good to go."
"Before these helper springs were installed the camper would really sag the rear suspension causing premature wear and tear. These helper springs eliminate 100% of that sag and protect against costly repairs."
"FYI do buy the compressor kit: Firestone (WR1-760-2158) Level Command II Kit because it takes a headache out of filling air!"
"Only issue I ran into is if you have Husky fender liners you will have to trim them a little to clear the top mounting bracket."
