I found at a university site that 50 mg/l (which is same as ppm) was considered in the soft range – at least according to sanitary engineers. I also discovered a few helpful hints – some of these are given in the fairly thorough instructions that came with the kit, others I took from other sites in my research. I do plan on frequently retesting as these values can change, so may look for kits that allow for multiple testing. But if you have any real concerns about the safety of your drinking water, I would recommend getting a test done by your state departments (in South Carolina they have it through DHEC) – where I believe you’ll get a bit more accurate results."

"I purchased this item knowing that in a few months, I will need to replace my current bullet journal. I am currently using the Essentials Dot Matrix Notebook, A5 size (Bullet Journal). When examining the ribbon, glue is only placed at the tip of it, and glued on the top of the spine of the notebook. In my current journal, the ribbon glued more than 1/4 down the length of the spine of the notebook, which makes it more secure. As far as smudging, drying or bleeding, I haven't yet tested that out, so I will update this review when I start using it daily.
