"I was able to perform this sequence 76 times before the drill started to slow down to the point where I wanted to change the battery. I thought a very impressive performance and my hand was tiring out before the drill.. • I was also able to use it to drill a 2” diameter hole with a forstner bit which is a testament to its power for such a small package. • While sanding a piece of good I thought that it sanded equally as sell and strong as my AC powered random orbital sander. • A couple minor complaints is the on/off switch is awkwardly placed near the back of the handle so you have to change grip after you power it on. Bcl101 LED light. • Built to stand up with an 90 degree adjustable up and down swing so you can aim it and illuminate something hands free. • The USB charging port is the small modern and common type, same as my Galaxy S7 phone. Conclusion. I’ve used many different drill, jig saws and sanders during my wood working career. The performance of the drill, sander and the jig saw was impressive when stacked up again bigger more expensive AC powered tools. For occasional use DIYer I think this is a great package if during the course of a project the pause between battery charges is acceptable."
"They feel solid and good in the hand, but if you've used even entry level "Pro-sumer" type tools like a similar Ryobi set, you are really going to notice the difference in quality and power. The drill is alright, it gets the job done on most around the house tasks, but I wouldn't be using this for even an entry level hobbyist construction or woodworking project. The "Go Battery": this is honestly a really cool idea, especially for a set that is aimed at people who just need some simple power tools that wont be using them on a regular basis. If you are just someone who rent's, owns their home, or just has some simple hobbys, this is a great kit and I would highly recommend it, you can always start with them and then if they end up dying; it means you're using them enough to get a nicer version of that tool."

With that said, lets get on with this review:-). So, I do own a couple corded Porter-Cable items and for the years that I have owned them and the use they've been subjected to, they have ALL held up quite fine. Now understand these corded items have certainly not been put thru the grind of a contractor style life, but they have been used to help me produce and complete what I consider to be average and slightly above average DiYer type jobs. Battery Life: So far OUTSTANDING, both usage time as well as standby time (I've had these items for about 5 months now) - and recharging is quite quick as well. Nothing to do backflips over, but suitable and functional. Oddly enough though, when I look at the large combo pack they sell, they only provide larger tote bags too to accommodate everything......I would have liked to seen something more formed and rugged like a molded plastic case - but this was certainly not a deal breaker for me. Ruggedness: Although I certainly have not dropped them from a ladder or roof (Thank GOD!!)."
"I did grow up assembling furniture for my dad with Makita drills. I had a 9.6 Makita drill kit for at least 12 years that finally died when I tried using it recently. As I was about to buy the Makita brushless drill combo when my brother-in-law gifted these to me. This may be considered tacky, but I ordered a $20 Makita case for these drills just because my old drill was always in a carrying case and this company seems to not make their own. It seems the drill in this kit is competent but on the lower end of the drill spectrum and lower than the newer model based on the numbers and my torque calculations."
"I have been using this drill to start a gas liquid transfer pump we have at my job. The actual size of the drills too, this Porter Cable is much smaller than my black and yellow one. I am not using the carry bag that came with it, I prefer hard cases, especially in my work truck. Overall though, I'm extremely satisfied with the build and price of this drill and, I am considering purchasing a second one for home as a backup."

"This is equal in performance with any similar demo hammer that is electrically powered. Make no mistake however, this is NOT a 90 lb pneumatic breaker/jackhammer with a 4" chisel tip. All you need to do is aim the point, and pull the trigger, letting the tool do the work. The tool itself is not that noisy, but the tip impacting the concrete generated a sharp noise that was loud enough to clearly hear 50 yards away. I found the bull point much more efficient at splitting the concrete than the flat chisel. Even though this tool is almost 35 lbs, you can guide it to roughly shape concrete into a radius, especially with the flat chisel tip. You will not be able to continuously use this on a 15 amp circuit with a 200 foot lamp cord. You may get away with very light, intermittent use on a 15 amp circuit with at least a 12 gauge extension cord, but eventually the circuit will overheat, and trip the breaker."
