Many of the nailers have the same styling as this and the give away is the front release latch for getting to the feed area (used for jams on other tools...not needed so far on this one!). Open your wallet, cuss a little at the price, and buy this crown stapler."
"I bought this to aide in putting up a fence."
"As one user said, this thing could be overpowered unless you play with the psi or adjust the drive depth (I haven't messed with this feature)."
"I used to drive nearly 1000 staples on one project."

Find Best Price at Amazon"The Bostitch Stapler recommended by Bruce for National Selections 5/16 thick solid hardwood is nearly impossible to get and is more expensive. You do get what you pay for. If you wonder why these staplers are not the kind you bang with a mallet is that flooring such as Natural selections are not banged tight together as they are stapled as they fit together perfectly by design. Still comes out cheaper than renting of having to get and return it, risking getting a beat-up one to use and rushing, even with out selling it."
"Also, because its small, we were able to get it much closer to the walls and avoid face nailing. The CaliBamboo was really difficult to face nail because of the carbonized finish and face nailing was sketchy at best and if there was misfire it end up causing a mess, so we were glad we were able to get this little guy against the wall and only had to face nail one row against the wall!"
"If i buy another one, I will most likely spend the extra money and order the one that Home Depot carries in their rental department."
"This stapler worked fairly well."
"I have run close to 2000 staples through this without a single jam."
"This stapler comes with absolutely no directions, so you need to be handy about figuring out how to adjust it so that it works."
"Only approx 150sq/ft installed with it so far."
"This tool is rated for 1.5" staples. The most I ever drove in a row without a problem is 10 staples."

Find Best Price at Amazon"My husband and I bought this stapler to install hardwood flooring throughout our 3000 sq ft home - we figured renting would cost us more as we had so much do to. Upon inspection of the other pneumatic machines at Home Depot (including the Stanley Bostitch Pneumatic Floor Stapler) - it was the ONLY machine that would require an adaptor, all others were standard."
"The previous iteration I'm familiar with required you to balance the stapler on the tongue of the new floorboards. One downside is that this new roller mechanism is rather wide, extending 2 or 3 inches out on either side of the base plate. The other difference I noted is that you seem to have to smack this model harder in order to get the staple deep enough in."
"You can also align and tighten the floor planks by tapping on this adapter foot directly, no need for a piece of 2x6. If you do not want to use this, or do not have it, or want to get close to the wall, then tape (blue painter's tape) all sharp points of the tool including the bottom shoe and voila no scratching of your new installed floor."
"Take note the brand new units come with a large pre-finished flooring foot, 1/2", 5/8" and 3/4" (white) base plates, two allen wrenches and users manual. But more importantly, the pre-finished floor foot works against the tongue of the board to distribute the force over a much larger surface area vs. a much smaller area of pre-finished edge if you don't use the pre-finished foot. Had I done this without the pre-finished foot, I'm almost certain it would have damaged the red oak I'm working with. Factory-reconditioned units (at least the one sent to me) do not include the pre-finished foot, so figure at least another $50 for this accessory if you don't buy brand new."
