Blackflame (Cradle Book 3)
In the course of their training, he and Yerin travel to the Blackflame Empire, where they fight to master an ancient power.
Reviews
"Disclaimer: I received an advanced reader copy of this book for free as a "beta reader" for the book. There are some epic fight scenes, but anyone who has read Will's book before knows to expect those."
"But at this time you should just buy and read all the cradle books."
"Lindon, Yerin, Eithan and basically every other named character once again come alive - vividly and luridly so - in Blackflame. The characters feel like real people with biases and flaws, making their way through Cradle based on the strengths and failings of their beliefs."
"I've been reading Will's books since the day his first one (House of Blades) came out and I do not ever see myself stopping."
"A talking magical Raccoon told me to give this book a five star review."
"There was great character progression, lots of action and plenty of foreshadowing for future books."
"Further its impressive watching his evolution since the first series: while Travellers Gate was excellent, it lacked the polish that one might except from seasoned writers."
"Read it for free, then bought all three books."

Skysworn (Cradle Book 4)
But a new danger approaches the Empire, closer every day.
Reviews
"That's not to say it was bad (remember I'm scrutinizing Will on a higher scale here due to the quality of his writing), but it just didn't do much for me, specifically in terms of advancing the story, revealing much relevant new information, or character growth. The pacing of the novel was also a bit strange, we skipped over the training and personal growth between in the end of Blackflame to bring you a few days in the life of our characters. The most significant service rendered by the main characters was Eithan being a messenger boy, which prevented the appearance of the elder Akura at the end from being a complete Deus Ex Machina resolution, which frankly is getting a bit old as a plot device in Fantasy series. Too add to this we learn that our heroes have even less time to carry out their impossible tasks than we previously thought, so it makes the strange pacing of this novel seem like even more of a waste. I know it sounds like with all of that I didn't like the book and wouldn't recommend it, but as I said, I'm putting this one (perhaps unfairly) under a magnifying glass because of the quality of Will's previous works."
"This is my favorite of his different series, and I couldn't put this book down."
"Every time I've read one of the books from this series I've almost had to read them straight through, because I can't get enough!"
"Another great book by Will Wight!"
"This book captivates and demands that you lose sleep and righteous reason as you consume it with abandon."
"I am not trying to write a review."
"I really like the character driven story as well as unexpected events that mostly keep the series away from normal fantasy tropes."
"Though there is less advancement from London, the story continues, revealing the workings of the empire, Eithans plans, and more magic from Cradle."

Unsouled (Cradle Book 1)
Sacred artists follow a thousand Paths to power, using their souls to control the forces of the natural world.
Reviews
"This is my first amazon review, but after reading all of Will's other stuff I felt compelled to finally take the time to make sure that anyone who reads this starts supporting this amazing indie author. I have been reading fantasy since I was eight and started with authors that I believed (while I was young) were at the top of the field. What I can't figure out is how some of these books obtain 100+ reviews averaging 4 stars or better, or how they can contain multi-paragraph hand written write-ups praising the "original story" or "unique characters" or "intriguing plot line". Will does small short-stories filling in background on the characters in between book releases and it is a testament to his writing that fans get excited to hear from minor characters who barely got any lines in the book (incarnation's daughter... more please). Honestly my only complaint with Will's stuff is that I want more and wish he could write longer books, but if he did that we wouldn't have so many releases in such a short time span. Seriously, buy this book, then buy his other books."
"This book focuses more on a single perspective than his previous books which makes it very easy to read on a weekend without too many perspective changes."
"I had a hard time connecting with the writing style for book 1."
"I really enjoyed Will Wights Travelers Gate series, so I bought this for my next series to read."
"I read Unsouled on recommendation from a friend and couldn't be happier. Its an epic fantasy in the setting of a Chinese martial arts story (it firmly falls in the Xianxia genre if you're familiar with it)."
"The magic/spell/talent system isn't very well explained until most of the way through the book."
"If you love any of the following - anime, manga, Japanese light novels, Chinese pugilistic novels, Brandon Sanderson, JRPGs, You will love everything Will Wight has written so far."
"Past experience with the Traveler's Gate series has shown Will Wight to be very adept at three things: writing characters, world building, and subverting expectations."

Reviews
"a book well worth reading and gives us an understanding of life in another country, and of the hardships that can be given to those living in a country with leaders who are not worthy of the position they have.. She shows wisdom and strength as she fought to hold onto her dreams and it shows courage as harsh treatments were dealt out to her., a lady who despite those years of hardship won out and formed a life where those early dreams came true."
"I am not a musician nor have I played an instrument, however, that really didn't keep me from appreciating this powerful autobiography."
"Surviving the spirit crushing effects of the cultural revolution, Xiao-mei tells how piano which was forbidden ultimately became her salvation."
"I grew up during this time period but have not read first person stories of Man's cultural revolution."
"This honest and at times heartbreaking story of a young girl successfully manipulated by her country's government and it's attempt to control it's people is one that holds within it an unforgettable lesson of truth's redemptive power. It is a stark reminder of the lives, the time, the dignity, and the beauty lost by humanity at the expense of toxic politicians, leaders, people, and governments that seek to dominate instead of lead."
"I enjoy listening to Bach but will enjoy it more after this experience."
"The Secret Piano is so well-written on many levels; the language, the evocative scenes and the character development."
"An excellent story of what happened to young people in China during their cultural revolution."

Because to do either, he’s going to have to show the world that magic is very, very real, and that monsters are very, very hungry… To survive, he might just need to take a page from the book, How to Win Friends and Influence Monsters. I suggest the following sequence: Obsidian Son Blood Debts Fairy Tale – Prequel (FREE to email subscribers) Grimm Silver Tongue Beast Master Tiny Gods Wild Side. Dark Fantasy Supernatural Thriller Witches & Wizards Urban Fantasy Thriller Supernatural Shifter Angels & Demons Science Fiction & Fantasy Paranormal and Urban Romance Supernatural Mystery and Suspense Vampires and Werewolves. Anticipation abounds while fantasy meets reality in equal measure. The story unfolds as told through the eyes of its hero, the complex and funny wizard-man Nate Temple - intelligent, informed, flawed and a tad eccentric. As if character and magic were not compelling enough, the book spills much more - suspenseful drama, mystery, `spare no expense' fast paced action; it is violent, bloody, erotic, sexy and variously romantic.Harnessing a powerful combination of genres and alter-dimensions, Silvers thrives on attention to detail, and achieves it most elegantly.
