Reviews
"I always love the smell of a new book but the smooth outside texture of the book adds a good feature to the book. It is a well worded book from the first page to the last page (217 pages overall) each page has a complete word filled page but the pictures adds to the imagination of the child reading this book. He's now 10 and he LOVES this book series so much he looks forward to the new books that come out and every once in a while re-reads the older book series. I can't say enough good things about this book or any other book from the series."
"We just received the book!"

Diary of a Minecraft Zombie Book 1: A Scare of a Dare (An Unofficial Minecraft Book)
In the first book of this hilarious Minecraft adventure series, we get to read the diary of an actual 12 year old, Minecraft Zombie.
Reviews
"The ten year old read this book. His review is, "It was good but short." Here is the question and answer session that followed in order to elicit more information: What's it about? A zombie who has troubles at schools and goes on a couple of adventures. Is there any bad language or violence in it?"
"Obviously the premise of the story is based on the Wimpy Kid series, so you're basically getting a point-of-view story in diary form. There are little black and white pictures scattered throughout, so it breaks up the story and makes it more entertaining for the reader. I also have to add that we were given a free copy of the book from the author in exchange for a fair review, but I went ahead and purchased another copy for myself as well as book 4 in the series for my son - we loved it that much!"
"My 8-year old grandson loved Diary of a Minecraft Zombie Book 1."
"Our youngest fights us with reading."
"Great new condition!"
"He got it for Christmas and spent that afternoon reading it--and this is a kid who didn't really read on his own for fun!"
"Overall I think it is a great book- especially good for encouraging boys to find the love for reading."
"My 6 year old read this in one day, he thought it was so entertaining!"

Percy Jackson: The Demigod Files (A Percy Jackson and the Olympians Guide)
Complete with interviews, puzzles, games, and original short stories by Rick Riordan. In addition to three previously unreleased short stories about Percy and his companions, it also includes such filler as interviews with the same, along with word games, portraits of some of the Gods and their half-blood offspring, and the inevitable sneak preview of Book 5. The first one puts Percy and his enemy Clarisse, the daughter of Ares, on the same team as she tries to retrieve her father's chariot, which has been hijacked as a prank by her two immortal brothers. The second story relates an incident that occurred during one of Camp Half-Blood's infamous Capture the Flag games, when Charlie Beckendorf, the camp counselor for Hephaestus, is captured by a horde of giant, poisonous ants, and has to be rescued with the help of a mechanical dragon.
Reviews
"I originally started reading the Percy Jackson series because my granddaughter liked the movie. So I bought her the series and we read at least a chapter or two every time we spend a few hours together. And I must confess, since I read just a bit faster, I've moved onto the Lost Hero series."
"While I have already read his first series, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, (and I'm quite obsessed) I have read and re-read those books so many times I think later I'll do a big review of the series as a whole. While not quite as much as the Percy Jackson and the Olympians books, this one really was great. The thing I like most about Riordan's books is that they have a sneaky way of teaching you not only important lessons, but also about mythology. These books only strengthened my love of mythology and I know that they're ones that I will one day read to my children. Also, if you're a fan of Egyptian mythology, definitely check out The Kane Chronicles, another series by Rick Riordan that have the same quirky and fun way of sneaking some learning in while you read."
"Highly recommended by sixth grader at local Middle School who reads to my dog."
"Love, love, love it!"
"I have read these books as well for youngest child (7) as a bed time story. He was caught up in the story and didn't want me to stop reading, he could not fall asleep on it. The books are well written, full of twists, adventure and educational."
"Most books when adding new characters lose the storyline, but Rick Riordan did a superb job!"

Dragons Love Tacos
Dragons love tacos. They love chicken tacos, beef tacos, great big tacos, and teeny tiny tacos. - Publishers Weekly. ""The perfect book for kids who love dragons and mild tacos."". ""Rubin and Salmieri, the team behind the equally hilarious ‘Those Darn Squirrels!,’ bring their kooky sensibility to this irresistible story about what can go wrong at a taco party for dragons... Little kids will relate to the anti-spicy bias and chuckle over Salmieri's watercolor and gouache cartoon illustrations showing literally boatloads of tacos and all sizes of dragons enjoying their favorite food at pool parties, costume parties and, well, taco parties."". "We'd selected several little books for our grandchildren this Christmas, and while most of them contained more substantive messages, you know what they say about all work and no play! Most of the vocabulary is a bit over his head at this stage, but that's how they learn, and it sets up the perfect scenario for one of his older (4-1/2 & 8-1/2) brothers to enjoy reading it to him and maybe provide Mommy with a little break. watercolor paint, 2 cups pencils (sharpened), 6 corn tortillas... Preheat Brooklyn, New York, to 75 degrees and bake for 27 years", then "Serve both dishes together for a delightful smorgasbord a la Robo-Sauce, Secret Pizza Party, and Those Darn Squirrels.""
"Having read the authors previous book, "Those Darned Squirrels", I immediately noticed when Dragons Love Tacos came to my local bookstore."
"I bought the book upon seeing a friend's son recite what taco toppings dragons love."
"This book was an instant hit!"
"It is a fun and excellent book!"
"There is a second book, we will not purchase it."

Reviews
"The book itself isn't a beautifully laid out or as visually pleasing as other Lego Idea books, but this book is the most practical and is the only one I've seen so far that give detailed lists of bricks required."
"If you categorize your legos or buy from places like Bricklink, this will be invaluable, but for the rest of us the kids can use it organize a few pieces ahead of time. Here's the table of contents with a few of my favorite sets from each: =>Robot Lab--Sorvo the Scuttlebot and Simon, a 3-wheeler, are both neat. =>The world of knights and dragons -- Creative green dragon (uses a lot of Technic parts). =>Cars, trucks and things that fly! =>It's a great day and Lego town -- Not my favorite chapter, you may like it better. =>Make it work! This book would make a perfect Christmas gift when you don't know which sets your recipient already owns."
"I bet most of the projets would be good with preschoolers if you read the instructions to them (ex: the pretend play scenes) and the elaborate "stories" grab the attention of my older elementary kiddo."
"The instructions are written out, not shown as step-by-step pictures."
"While there are many amazing looking creations, they do require more than the variety of pieces we have, and we have many."
"My Grandson is going to love this book."
"We haven't really used it yet but looking through it it looks like it will be fun!"
"But looked to be a good book of step by step projects for kids doing legos."

Cooking Class: 57 Fun Recipes Kids Will Love to Make (and Eat!)
Deanna F. Cook presents more than 50 recipes designed for the cooking abilities and tastes of children ages 6 to 12. VERDICT Though there are plenty of cookbooks aimed at the younger set, this is a worthy addition to the profusion of similar titles.—Kathryn Diman, Bass Harbor Memorial Library, Bernard, ME IACP Award Finalist. 2015 “National Parenting Publications Awards” (NAPPA) Gold award winner. 2015 Parents’ Choice Award Silver winner. 2016 Mom’s Choice Award Gold winner. 2015 NPR Great Reads. "Of all the kids' cooking books that have crossed my threshold over the years, this is the one that seems to have struck gold. I usually hand kids' cookbooks to my daughter (she's 9 now) for a first opinion before looking at them myself; this one I never got back. Cooking Class , written by family-magazine editor and kids'-cooking specialist Deanna Cook, seems to know how to talk directly to kids (or at least bookish kids who are seriously motivated to feed themselves) with minimal interference from parents. It's got pictures of other kids cooking by themselves. "There comes a time, kids, when you've got to expand your kitchen repertoire beyond mac 'n cheese, hot dogs, and PB&J.
Reviews
"On the other hand, a new cookbook arrived at our doorstep last week and my kids hovered over it--drinking in the recipes, excited to cook! Cooking Class is divided into seven sections that cover the basics, meals, snacks, and of course--dessert! The recipes are easy to follow and have great pictures which give clear instructions. I know that my first grade son can read most of the words in these directions, but the size of the type would be a stumbling block for him. Aside from the recipes, the cookbook includes some fun stickers, place cards, and conversation questions for the dinner table. I think you get the idea... when choosing a great kids' cookbook, this one tops my list! Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this cookbook for review from Storey publishing."
"This book is so easy to follow it makes me look like the best mom ever!"
"After window shopping several children's cookbooks on Amazon I decided on the Cooking Class cookbook for my daughter's birthday."
