Reviews
Find Best Price at Amazon"The articles are nicely written and seem to be fairly diverse in nature (as opposed to focusing on one primary brand or label like some other blogs tend to do)."
"So I looked for a blog to try and chose to start with Ars Technica because I really enjoy science and technology and find that those are the type of articles that I seek in a newspaper anyway. For example, today I read a couple articles that were legal related (copyright, muni wifi), a game review, some mobile phone stuff, and others."
"Full-length articles are available offline which means I can read them while traveling without paying exorbitant Internet fees on airplanes. This means that you are not able to read in-line quotes (i.e. chat logs from the HBGary coverage) and other embedded text within the articles."
"It's not uncommon for an article to last less than a single day before being bumped off by new articles."
"I pay for a regular annual subscription as well as the Kindle subscription."
"As of today, late June 2012, there are still technical problems with the Ars Technica Kindle feed. I'm giving them 2 stars since at least the content is now coming through, and if you are into 19th century long-paragraphed literature, it's readable, after a fashion. I think the moral of the story is that this is not the most reliable Kindle blog feed there is, so expect occasional problems to pop up."
"Not functional and not worth the money."

"Another thing I like is that the blog covers a wide variety of books, so there's something for people who like all sorts of books."
"Before I found this blog, it took too much time looking for interesting titles, which meant I did not get to that very often."
"This blog is really great as it helps find free e-books, which saves time and effort for the reader."
"I find it very difficult to find good free books to read on the kindle."
"I subscribe to a few blogs covering free books for the Kindle, so The Best Free Ebooks for Kindle, updated daily by Good Reads sounded interesting as yet another source. Taking a look at my Kindle 2 as of this date, I see the following, and I'm listing the timestamp with abbreviated titles: * February 8, 10:00 pm: Suzanne Woods Fisher's book Keeper... * February 7, 10:00 pm: Best of TOC 2012 free for Kindle for a limited time. * February 6, 10:00 pm: Kaplan's book Intro to SAT... * February 6, 12:00 am: Jim Kraus's book Laugh-a-Day Book of Bloopers... And that's it: there are no more. There are other "free Kindle book" blogs out there, and if anyone has a favorite or alternative they've discovered, please feel free to leave a comment. Note that the blog author has changed part of the product info from "We review at least five new books every day" to read "We review at many as three new books every day." UPDATE 2/16/2012: The author of this blog never lived up to his original statement "The Best Free Ebooks for Kindle, updated daily," and even with his revision of "We review at many as three new books every day" the author has never lived up to that attempt... and he needs to check his words before posting even that claim. Maybe he thinks that his feeble attempt of posting two "reviews" of the same book, Kaplan's Intro to SAT on February 14th will placate some, but to this reader it's not worth the time to see double-postings like this."

"It is shocking to be confronted with scientific data that often support the fears we have when it comes to our love-relationships, and the good doctor is quick to help us navigate the awkwardness of these hard truths, so we can end up being winners at what easily feels like a losing game."
"But if you appreciate reasonable conversation on topics that are relevant as well as fascinating, you'll eagerly anticipate your biweekly "talk" with Dr. D. Regardless of your relationship status, Dr. D provides information that all of us need in order to create and sustain our happiest state of being."
"I've read every single column and eagerly await more -- Dr. Welch's advice is not just grounded in science but is full of compassion, honesty and heart."
"As a social psychologist, I know much of the science on love and relationships, and I appreciate that Dr. Welch goes to great lengths to accurately summarize the research while still making the column accessible to a wider audience."
"As a new member to the Kindle community, I found a haven in Dr Duana Welch's Blog;LOVE SCIENCE MEDIA; After reading Duana's profoundly honest and down to earth articles and reader responces; I felt comfortable enough to trust Duana's advice; I reached out to Duana to assist me in a personal matter that has been troubling me my entire adult life; I was reluctant to read Duana's email or rather the bad news; but Duana's responce was from her heart; and filled with reinforcing statistic that made me comfortable enough to accept my dilemma and move on with life; to find a loving relationship with a better understanding that what I fear is a minor issue compared to what a woman really wants in a relationship.... Duana thank you for giving me the strength to face this dilemna and move on to something more positive......."
"Yes, I love my snarky columnists as much as anybody, but isn't it about time someone addressed real problems with a helpful attitude full of both brains AND heart? The letters and comments from readers are answered with warmth and wit instead of snideness."

"I am recommending this blog for a single effective property that makes it outstand among the other tech blogs: It gives the readers short snapshots of tech-related news from newspapers and magazines. The options are: Newton's, Kepler's, Murphy's, Moore's, Common, Natural, CowboyNeal's."
"I like the Kindle for its easy OFFLINE reading capabilities, and I use the wireless only when I'm actively fetching something to read offline. The Kindle edition of Slashdot fails at both online and offline reading: Headlines and capsule summaries are automatically downloaded whenever the site updates and my wireless switch is turned on, but to actually read the content, I need to fire up the (slow, monochrome) browser and fetch it from the web site."
"The information is good, but the link-heavy nature of this blog just makes it too distracting to read on the Kindle... at least for me. Maybe I'm getting too old or I'm just a bit too impatient, but this seems to be an issue with several blogs I've tried; hopefully they'll figure out how to clean them up with more experience."
