Best Radical Thought

To cover up their insidious fascist agenda, Democrats loudly accuse President Trump and other Republicans of being Nazis—an obvious lie, considering the GOP has been fighting the Democrats over slavery, genocide, racism and fascism from the beginning. He expertly exonerates President Trump and his supporters, then uncovers the Democratic Left's long, cozy relationship with Nazism: how the racist and genocidal acts of early Democrats inspired Adolf Hitler's campaign of death; how fascist philosophers influenced the great 20th century lions of the American Left; and how today's anti-free speech, anti-capitalist, anti-religious liberty, pro-violence Democratic Party is a frightening simulacrum of the Nazi Party. In The Big Lie , D'Souza shows that the Democratic Left's orchestrated campaign to paint President Trump and conservatives as Nazis to cover up its own fascism is, in fact, the biggest lie of all. He is also a former White House domestic policy analyst and research scholar at the American Enterprise Institution and the Hoover Institution at Stanford University.

"D'Sousa is brillant...he ties the past history to what is happening in today's world."
"Great opinions with supporting facts!"
"Dinesh D'Souza researched this book from stem to stern and I was amazed by his extraordinary expose of Leftism's influence on the National Socialists of Germany."
"It is long, and long winded, including giving the reader more than enough real world examples of things like real events in which the left essentially has mimicked fascist and Nazi tactics, such as not respecting outcomes of democratic elections and physical threats to the other side."
"Outstanding book."
"D'Souza swiftly takes you from the origins of National Socialism to today's Antifa without skipping a beat."

First published in 1971, Rules for Radicals is Saul Alinsky's impassioned counsel to young radicals on how to effect constructive social change and know “the difference between being a realistic radical and being a rhetorical one.” Written in the midst of radical political developments whose direction Alinsky was one of the first to question, this volume exhibits his style at its best. “Alinsky is that rarity in American life, a superlative organizer, strategist, and tactician who is also a social philosopher.”. —Charles E. Silberman. “He cannot be bought; he cannot be intimidated; and he breaks all the rules.”. — The Economist (London).

"Insightful book of our age."
"Interesting read.......read book to get better insight into Hillary as she became a friend of Alinsky and wrote her senior thesis on him and this book."
"the author taught the young. people of the early 70's how. 2 be a full blown RADICAL."
"This is required reading for anyone wondering how in the heck did we get into this mess."
"I am an elderly, soon to be minority (Caucasian), constitutional conservative who was curious about the details of Saul Alinsky's teachings for Community Organizers. I wanted to know what it is that is motivating our President since it is said that he and the Democratic Party are students and practitioners of Alinsky's teachings and his life's work. If one reads this book they will see that this is true, in part, but there is obviously a lot motivating the President that Alinsky would harshly reject. I challenge prospective readers of this book to see for themselves if a lot of our current leaders aren't using Alinsky's teachings and tactics for purposes he would find unacceptable."
"I read this book for human rights and activism studies, regardless of if you agree with the ideas or not it explains a lot of trends."
"Was not what I expected."

Elites across North America and Europe fight to silence those who argue, compellingly, that the roots of terrorism are within Islam itself which has evolved into far more than a religion—it is a radical and dangerous political ideology which consciously, if often tacitly, places itself in opposition to democracy and basic human rights. (Ayaan Hirsi Ali, human rights activist, author of Heretic: Why Islam Needs Reformation Now). "Again, a truly historic book by truth-teller Robert Spencer, hero of our times and one of the bravest defenders of liberty that I have ever met. His work is must reading for anyone who wants to understand why Islam produces so many violent outcomes and so many threats to life in the West." Confessions of an Islamophobe is an indispensable guide to how American leftists from Linda Sarsour to Bernie Sanders have joined forces with the Islamic enemies of women, gays, Jews, Christians, and other infidels, in an unholy alliance against America and its freedoms." Confessions of an Islamophobe is a clarion call, a clear and heartfelt appeal to those who think terrorism is a matter of partisan politics, and that this threat has been trumped-up or exaggerated. Robert Spencer is director of Jihad Watch, a program of the David Horowitz Freedom Center, and author of sixteen books, including the New York Times bestsellers The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades) and The Truth About Muhammad .

The author names those within even the U.S. government who tried to suppress his revelations by having him blackballed from speaking before various government audiences – as well as being banned by several European governments from being able to speak publicly to their distracted denizens."
"I've enjoyed all Robert Spencer books, including a must read the Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam and the Infidel's Guide to the Koran."
"Clear and uncompromising, although in a learned way."
"It is amazing how so much of modern academia and many religious and national leaders have bowed to Islamic intimidation. For a first-hand account of the nature of Islam, from one who suffered as a Muslim politician in Iran, read The House I Left Behind by Daniel Shayesteh."
"To claim, as so many of our politicians do, that the West needs to improve the economic conditions in the Middle East in order to drain the swamp of terrorism is profoundly mistaken. For these reasons, more Westerners need to understand that Islamic terrorism is based upon a deformed theology, and unless it can be reformed at that level, economic engineering or the development of constitutional political order will not succeed."
"Sacrifice something today for future generations whose words of thanks you will not hear."
"Robert Spencer is simply brilliant and speaks the truth."

The New York Times bestselling author of Stonewalled pulls back the curtain on the shady world of opposition research and reveals the dirty tricks those in power use to influence your opinions. Behind most major political stories in the modern era, there is an agenda; an effort by opposition researchers, spin doctors, and outside interests to destroy an idea or a person. Now, the hard-hitting investigative reporter shares her inside knowledge, revealing how the Smear takes shape and who its perpetrators are—including Clinton confidant Sidney Blumenthal and, most influential of all, "right-wing assassin turned left-wing assassin" ( National Review ) political operative David Brock and his Media Matters for America empire. Maybe you watched someone on the news report that Donald Trump is a racist misogynist, read that Hillary Clinton used a body double, or heard that Bernie Sanders cheated in the primary. Now hard-hitting investigative journalist Sharyl Attkisson, the New York Times bestselling author of Stonewalled , takes you behind the scenes of the modern smear machine, exploring how operatives from corporations and both sides of the political aisle have manipulated a complicit mainstream media to make disinformation, rumor, and dirty tricks defining traits of our democracy. Pulling back the curtain on the shady world of opposition research, she reveals how those in power create well-funded, organized attack campaigns to take down their enemies and influence your opinions, offering a detailed examination of the think tanks, super PACs, LLCs, and nonprofits that have become the hidden backers of some of the biggest smears in American politics. Attkisson hosts the Sunday morning national TV news program "Full Measure," which focuses on investigative and accountability reporting. For thirty years, Attkisson was a correspondent and anchor at CBS News, PBS, CNN and in local news.In 2013, she received an Emmy Award for OutstandingInvestigative Journalism for her reporting on "The Business of Congress," whichincluded an undercover investigation into fundraising by Republican freshmen. She received two other Emmy nominations in 2013 for "Benghazi: Dying forSecurity" and "Green Energy Going Red."

Find Best Price at Amazon"The consumer of news is “pummeled by countless narratives—some based on grains of truth; others wholly invented for the audience.”. The author warns news consumers to be cautious even if all the media outlets are parroting the same line: “Today, if enough pundits, operatives, and media parrot the same narrative, it becomes incorporated into the fabric of the news as an accepted fact.”. And yet, smear campaigns are not new—they are as old as the Republic: “Our founding fathers knew very well the power of a sharp character assassination . “The Clarence Thomas Supreme Court nomination showed both sides that the best way to fight a smear might not be to take a defensive posture—but to mount an offensive countersmear.”. Attkisson is careful to define what she means by “smear.” It’s not the dissemination of falsehoods, so much as exaggeration: “Expert smear artists take a sprinkle of truth—in this case Imus’s objectionable comments—and pervert it into a weapon of mass destruction to advance a larger goal, often political or financial.” Smear campaigns take something that is true and "amplify a misdeed out of proportion.”. For me, one of the most fascinating sections was the explanation of a variation of smear called “Astroturf.” In this variation, the pros pretend they are ordinary folks: “Paid interests disguised as ordinary people troll assigned topics, news sites, reporters, blogs, and social media for the purpose of posting comments that spin and confuse.” The idea is to “give the impression there’s widespread support for or against an agenda when there’s not.”. Attkisson concludes with this sobering warning: “One thing you can count on is that most every image that crosses your path has been put there for a reason."
"It provides the insight and evidence that we've come to expect in her reporting, and opens the curtains of the smear industry so we might peer in and be prepared to spot when the smear is in play (hint...it's everywhere!)."
"This book documents political smear campaigns, behind-the-scenes coordination between the press and political campaigns and other special interests, and efforts by our own government to manipulate the news, influence public opinion, and punish whistleblowers. Although some events in the book go back to the 1990's, most of the information pertains to events of the last ten years, with the emphasis on the 2016 presidential campaign and its aftermath. Worst of all, our own government seems to be an active player in much of this. Many op-eds that you read on the editorial page are not written by the person whose byline appears beneath them, but by activists working for political campaigns, corporations, and special-interest groups. The Obama Department of Justice and other Obama agencies targeted reporters, stonewalled investigations, and maintained behind-the-scenes relationships with special interests."

The most authoritative life of the Chinese leader every written, Mao: The Unknown Story is based on a decade of research, and on interviews with many of Mao’s close circle in China who have never talked before — and with virtually everyone outside China who had significant dealings with him. In the epilogue to her biography of Mao Tse-tung, Jung Chang and her husband and cowriter Jon Halliday lament that, "Today, Mao's portrait and his corpse still dominate Tiananmen Square in the heart of the Chinese capital." Mao: The Unknown Story does not contain a formal dedication, but it is clear that Chang is writing to honor the millions of Chinese who fell victim to Mao's drive for absolute power in his 50-plus-year struggle to dominate China and the 20th-century political landscape. Using exhaustive research in archives all over the world, Chang and Halliday recast Mao's ascent to power and subsequent grip on China in the context of global events. 10 Second Interview: A Few Words with Jung Chang and Jon HallidayQ: From idea to finished book, how long did Mao: The Unknown Story take to research and write? A: The book is banned in China, because the current Communist regime is fiercely perpetuating the myth of Mao. Today Mao's portrait and his corpse still dominate Tiananmen Square in the heart of Beijing, and the regime declares itself to be Mao's heir. As China is today emerging as an economic and military power, the world can never regard it as a benign force unless Beijing rejects Mao and all his legacies. We hope our book will help push China in this direction by telling the truth about Mao. Breakdown of a BIG Book: 5 Things You'll Learn from Mao: The Unknown Story 1. Importantly, the book argues that in most instances Mao was able to hold on to power thanks to his adroitness in appealing to and manipulating powerful allies and foes, such as Stalin and later Nixon; furthermore, almost every aspect of his career was motivated by a preternatural thirst for personal power, rather than political vision. Some of the book's claims rely on interviews and on primary material (such as the anguished letters Mao's second wife wrote after he abandoned her), though the book's use of sources is sometimes incompletely documented and at times heavy-handed (for example, using a school essay the young Mao wrote to show his lifelong ruthlessness).
