As well as the AT2020 usb microphone: Audio-Technica AT2020USB PLUS Cardioid Condenser USB Microphone. It helps to live 3 miles from their main headquarters and warehouse, but my first venture with AT were these headphones bought from Amazon, and I haven't looked back."

Find Best Price at Amazon"I was previously going laptop-only, using an old DJ application (DJ-1800), which was a great transition from dual Denon CD players to the Mac. I tried using every other software I could find (Traktor, Serato, Deckadance, and decided on Algoriddim's djay Pro. I say this all first, because I believe if you are going to go digital, the software should be the primary consideration, then finding a controller that works with it, as well as your budget. I've gone through dozens of microphones, scads of headphones, and thrown away more equipment than I care to even imagine. I just don't put much stock in electronics, and don't see the need to waste $$ on things that are going to take a beating every weekend. The Hercules RMX2 was at the top of my list, but the low quality/high latency I experienced while testing it out never seemed enough to justify $300 for a new one. I had owned Pioneer equipment in the past, and was familiar with their reputation for quality stuff. I played with it at Guitar Center a few times, and decided, despite the lack of gain controls and LED meters, that it would be suitable for my needs. The first time I hooked it up to my powered speakers, I was blown away at the quality of the sound card. But I purchased short RCA-to-XLR cables with metal connectors, and I haven't experienced significant signal loss. For weeks on end, I have practiced, played, tweaked and rode hard on this controller. I'm not a scratchmaster, but the latency is almost zero, and in the right hands could be a deadly weapon for aspiring Battle DJs. The only drawback is they don't light up, like their bigger, more expensive Pioneer brothers, but I haven't found it to be a real problem yet. And to Algoriddim's credit, within a couple of weeks, they had it natively working, without any tweaks whatsoever."

If I had to describe in my own words what the XDJ RX is for those stuck between choosing a CDJ or your run of the mill DJ controller, this is for either a beginning DJ who has advanced beyond being a mere bedroom casual/hobbyist DJ to a full-blown professional DJ who wants a DJM900/2000Nexus quality system without the price-tag or complexity of that full setup. This is a further point of contention with mobile DJs given that all bars/lounges/clubs that advertise themselves as having dance-floors in google or Yelp are not dedicated enough to club life to justify the purchase of a DJM/CDJ setup where this unit would prove beneficial. While it is an arbitrary point that many bars, lounges, and some clubs allow mobile DJs to bring their own equipment, for a beginner DJ who is not invested in Traktor, Serato, or Virtual DJ, this unit will hands down prepare you to play in a serious club. With that said, this unit will provide dividends for more experienced working/professional DJs given that you have essentially all of the features of the late model DJM900NXS/CDJ2000NXS setup without the same footprint, cost, and headache of setting up. I love this unit because so far it is the only unit I have needed given that my current opportunities to DJ are as a member of an Open Format DJ meetup The Philadelphia DJ Grou, which uses CDJ 900s."

I really wish I wouldn't have purchased Serato, because now I want to buy rekordbox dj. The music management software alone is sooooo awesome though. A quote from another user saying he'll hold out until the next version when he see's "full size jogs w' torque adjust, needle search, updated tracking/position displays, and EFX send/return.". I would have like to see FILE TYPE and AUDIO BITRATE instead of what date it was added!? Alongside it's excellent features and groundbreaking technology that lays it's foundation alongside it's other flagship mixers that dominate the professional dj scene, this mixer doesn't forget to add connections for classic turntables for the old school guys like myself that like getting down on some VINYL!! Find Best Price at Amazon"I bought this for my office; my turntable at home is a Rega RP6. By no means did I expect this to compete, and it doesn't, but it very much punches above its weight. This looks very very similar to the Teac TN-300 with a few additional features. Trick to doing this is to slide the belt up towards the holes as far as you can BEFORE putting the platter on the turntable, then slide the belt upwards through the hole and grasp it between your thumb and forefinger. (Pro-Ject Phono Box DS+, which costs more than the turntable). Dummy me; there's a volume switch on the front that also controls Bluetooth volume to allow you to reduce volume for records that're cut extremely hot/high level which cause the BT connection to distort."

Solid Range. Good Signal. Good Battery Life. Waterproof. Shockproof. Cons: Bass isn't phenomenal. Can be poppy with phone calls. Cuts a second with new audio files.
