"Not very good, it stretches and the Velcro weakens, do not get this ligature, I like the optimum and the m/o way better, spend a few more bucks for the optimum or get the m/o, this ligature is good for its early days but then stretches and the Velcro wears down."
"They are velcro so I felt I didn’t really get my money’s worth after paying $60."
"I never would have thought that ligatures affected tone quality but I received so many comments from my peers upon using this ligature."

Rovner 1RVS Soprano Saxophone Ligature
For decades it has also been the "go-to" ligature for music educators, knowing they can recommend it with complete confidence that a Rovner ligature is just the thing to help developing players move to the next level of performance. Although technologically superior, its sound is similar to the sound produced by the age-old string ligature.

Reviews
"-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------. I have a number of alto ligatures, the Vandoren M/O reviewed here, a Bonade regular (not inverted), a Rovner "dark", an F. Louis "Ultimate", and at some point an Optimum (long lost). The M/O gives me the bite of the Bonade but with a bit more body, a more "centered" tone in a sense. (I don't like the F.Louis "Ultimate" - very hard to get the reed held evenly and very easy to not knock out of wack once you do.)."
"The combination of the Bari reeds and the Vandoren ligature is a literal game-changer for a young musician, with immediate, noticeable improvement."
"It's an excellent design that enables fast and precise positioning of the reed, and it keeps the reed very firmly attached to the mouthpiece."
"Works just fine with my Selmer S80 C* mouth piece and really seems to hold the reed better."
"My ligature broke so I decided to get myself an upgrade whilst I was at it and this ligature wqs absolutely perfect, could definitely hear the difference and fit like a glove."
"It does not press the reed to tight so the air just flows right through the mouthpiece."
"LOVE this ligature!"
"Purchased at recommendation of music teacher."

"When I opened the bad the shiny ligature was carefully placed inside a plastic mouthpiece cover. I must say, when I took the ligature out is was and looked very very very well made, all the parts are of the finest quality (Before hand questioning this $71.00 product to see if it was worth the $). This ligature is a MUST HAVE for any Sax or Clarinet player, you will sound 100% better than you originally have and you will know it the first time you play a note! Don't mind the money, it's worth every single penny no joke hands down the very best ligature out there on the market today."
"Bottom line, fantastic and beautiful ligature but make sure you are wary of fit."

"One thing I particularly like about this ligature is the single-screw tightening mechanism: it is easy to handle, and snugs up the reed nice and evenly."
