Find Best Price at Amazon"First, I expected a vintage journal, real leather coverings, old style paper to feel just like it was back in the old times. The back of one of the journals (I purchased two of them at the same time) had a number of scrapes (see the photo) but that totally didn't both me. The strap used to wrap around the Journal and close it up, just as soft and pliable as the rest of the journal's outer shells. There were five bundles of paper that were bound into the journal's spine. What I wasn't expecting and thought was just a design cover of the pens, in the product photos, was that it has the genuine leather wrapped around the pen body, as well. The writing is very smooth and I didn't have any times on my first page of journaling where the pen stopped writing, like if you were using a cheap pen and has to move your normal paper to get a better connection to the paper / ink transfer. I don't want to risk this product being out of stock or stopped production in the future and have to go with something completely different as the months / years go on of journaling. I tried to picture one of my journals as best as I could. Thanks to the suppliers that even emailed me before the journals arrived, just to make contact and provide an avenue to reach out, if I had any issues with the journal on arrival."
