I found some cardboard boxes around the office and propped my 2 monitors, laptop, and keyboard on a makeshift stand up desk. A couple weeks ago, my cardboard makeshift desk collapsed in on itself. I'm 5'10" (1.78 meters), and this desk is the ideal height for me at it's highest setting, so I can understand why taller people have given the desk negative reviews. It didn't bug me much considering my last desk was cardboard :) I do recommend this desk for people that are my height or shorter....and maybe an inch taller."

"I currently have two of these desks (black legs, clear tops) assembled side-by-side, and they look awesome. Good: *Looks modern, sleek, and very professional. *Sturdy design despite streamlined (very thin) limbs and supports. *Plenty of clearance for my legs and shins (I'm 5' 11"). I kick the wall behind the desk before I come near the cross beams. *Supports multiple monitors and desktop computers without concern of collapsing. *Phone number and website are provided on front of assembly instructions in case anything is lost, broken, or flat out missing. It fits a large wired keyboard with number pad and has about an inch of glass to spare. Asinine: *Glass tops are all held in place by suction cups. *Directions don't indicate you can decide which side has the keyboard. I recommend drilling 95% of the way, and manually tightening with included allen wrench the remaining 5%. The corner piece of glass can easily support a 15 lb PC tower. Unlike the reviews for other products, this thing went together very quickly and securely with studs, cam locks, wooden pegs and screws. At least, till it slipped out of my hand (because it is a pretty substantial unit, 32" W-12" D-23-1/2" H) and got smacked against the footstool I was using to put it together and one of the shelves broke. Now, the actual purpose for this, is for teachers to have a place to put papers and material in for their students (and includes self-adhesive name labels). I would have liked to have the spine of the Bible to show, but that proved to be an impossible request; but on the other hand, it would have to be a much larger unit. Now I can't buy any more Bibles (I did actually had to put 2 in 1 compartment), or else I'm gonna have to get another unit."

It gives you at least 24" of reach over center from the base of the arm, and it won't fall over no matter how you position it, though it might lean if you get really creative about angles and elevation. The DC adapter is colored to go with it, and as a nice bonus touch, there's a USB port behind the stem for charging phones or other devices. The instruction manual wasn't great, but if you just let yourself take a moment to get used to it and follow the pictures, you'll be fine. The color is a very nice, rich, extremely dark brown.
