"I can only compare the quality of this tent to an Apollo tent that I have (2x4x5). Definitely a thicker tent than my Apollo. Overall I am happy that I chose this tent over the others that I was contemplating: Vivosun, Apollo, Urban Farmer or Hydroponics brands. The Vivosun and Apollo are the same price and cost the most, yet the other tents lacked key qualities like metal corner adapters, heavy duty zippers, and known and trusted sellers. The ducting ports are well placed with a variety of options depending on you setup and there are two 4" ones on the top and bottom of the back panel for cables and pipes etc. All communication was done through email, however every inquiry was responded within six hours or less and they were extremely friendly and easy to deal with providing solutions for my issue. Since a lot of these tents are of very comparable quality (Apollo, Growsun, iPower, lighthouse — the ones I have) based on the customer service, I would surely recommend these as you know they will take core of any issues that might come around."

They don't throw much heat at all and even with the LED 4-5 inches from my plant (single plant abuse test) there were no ill effects, much like flourescent or CFL, it has to be almost touching to burn. At this range it is reall only a single plant light but is quite powerful and penetrating. RECOMMENDATIONS: -Small indoor plants. -Small Closet grow. -Supplemental lighting (3x3 maximum efficiency). -Full spectrum application (4x4 or 5x5...cost effective). Bringing the quantum meter closer (and still very comfortable for plants) to around 1-1.5ft the Taotronics LED Grow light easily reaches 1300-1800μm! I currently have THREE 1200watt LED multispectrum grow lights bought off Amazon that have HUNDREDS of positive reviews, that these Taotronics are literally stomping all over in output AND thermal efficiency! There are cons though.The spectrum falloff is SEVERE, meaning that the effective diameter of coverage is small. To provide a comparative perspective, marijuana seedlings thrive when you start seedlings with a minimum of 150µmol, preferably 300µmol+, teen (2 weeks into VEG or futher) marijuana from healthy strains are known to prefer a minimum of 500µmol+ , and recent studies by NASA and The Department of Agriculture show that marijuana thrives best at around 4000µmol, something that most (singular LED lights) LED's are not capable of for long periods of time (4/21/2017) without peltier/watercooled assistance. Most of the good LED lights kick out around 1200-2300µmol and the ones that do it continuously RELIABLY and run cool to the touch, will cost anywhere from $900-4000. The three factors anyone (even little ol granny growing Magnolias indoors) should care about when growing under artificial lighting is: PPF - Photosynthetic Photon Flux, PPF measures the total amount of PAR that is produced by a lighting system each second. However, these metrics really don’t tell you anything since watts are a measurement describing electrical input, not light output. If you want to be mindblown......, the $26 Taotronics 36w LED grow light BULB puts out a multispectrum 1500µmol at 1.2ft You would need a couple per plant for large fruits, vegetables or marijuana, but you cannot beat the cost factor and....after running the lights for a week, you can easily fully grab the bulb/heatsink, unscrew it, and it won't even be slightly warm."

Then I cut the netting off the pellets (planned to do anyway) and filled the compartments with peat. After 4 days, quite a few seeds have sprouted; basil, cornflower, bush beans, squash, cucumber, chamomile, daisy, melon, etc."

My 6 year old daughter runs over to the garden every morning and night after school to check on the plants, it is fun to see how quickly they grow! The photo I uploaded is from week 3 after I harvested a bag of lettuce and reduced the plants by almost half."

"This caused a problem for second season as roots had infiltrated several areas and needed to be removed. I ended up pulling the pump out and giving it a rap with a screwdriver handle while it was plugged in. At the end of the season I am going to clean it and spritz it with silicone spray in hopes of avoiding this."
