Find Best Price at Amazon"It's exactly as advertised ("illuminated, reflective dog vest"), but it has room for improvement (perhaps a future version). As most people have a cell phone that has a power plug + USB cable, you could use one of those to charge the vest. I'm probably fussing over a non-issue, as I have plenty of power blocks around from other phones/gadgets, but it's worth noting, in case you're less technologically advanced."
"We get asked by a few people a night on where to buy it too. The Light beacon comes off too easily but honestly we put 2 zip ties around it and it stays put. Our walks at night are usually an hour long so sometimes the "low battery" sign doesn't show up before our walk but during and she is light-less for the rest of the walk but not a big deal. I do hope that in the future models they will be able to bring the LED further down to towards the arm pit and in the front of the neck. I highly recommend this vest to every dog owner for the safety of their dog and for themselves at night."
"She is certainly very visible with the harness. In some areas we regularly walk there is no lighting at all and the harness is actually too bright. The button is on the top of the harness and you can reach down and press the button quickly and the colours can be changed. There is a sturdy loop and metal ring on the harness but it is too far back to give you proper control of my rambunctious pup."
"I like the color change because it makes the dogs that much more noticeable. In addition to having very few street lights, there are no sidewalks in our area so we have to walk the dogs in the street, so visibility could not be more important."
"Wow!"

"My only two observations of caution are that with a puppy, if I'm driving with her by myself, I need to have her in the front seat, because she could potentially fall off the back seat far enough to be a problem and not be able to get back up (it's not a choking issue at all since I attach it to a harness on her back)."
"My dog was wearing her seatbelt and the police and EMTs were shocked that she was ok and didn’t fly through the windshield on impact. I got these for my dog for quick trips around town --- she has the bad habit of wanting to jump into the front seat with whoever is sitting there - and since she's 50 lbs, it doesn't really work out. I bought these based on the price, but what has really blown me away is Vastar's customer service --- they completely went above and beyond, and I would not hesitate to do business with them again. I got these seat belts a day before expected to arrive, in a soft envelope, so they fit in our mailbox."
"This is not only a great deal but they work great too."
"I think that these dog safety belts will save my dog's life someday. With these safety belts on, he can ride in the front, and I can rest assured that he won't be jumping into my lap and blocking my vision while driving."
"The buckle is sturdy and the hardware is all metal, no cheap breakable plastic. I've found that buckling her in not only makes me feel better (no more hard stop falls) knowing she's safer in the case of an accident, but it also seems to take away her anxiety by making her feel more secure...and quieter."
STRESS-FREE WALKS: Make walking your dog a joy with the PetSafe Deluxe Easy Walk No-Pull Harness; recommended by vets and trainers, this harness is the solution you've been looking for to stop pulling.
Reviews
Find Best Price at Amazon"She's getting chubby from lack of exercise and missing out on lots of good family fun. The first time she pulled, the harness snugged up on her chest and gently turned her to face me; she stopped immediately. I gave her some slack in the extendable leash and then locked it down--as soon as she pulled again she immediately stopped again. Fitting: Measure the largest part of your dog's chest. The strap that buckles around her chest is the second color--in my case silver. Slip the harness over your dog's head and then just buckle the colored strap under the chest and you're all set. Take it off by unbuckling the chest strap and slipping it right over your dog's head. It's not a tight squeeze and is actually so much easier than trying to slip both paws into the leg holes while holding your dog down and buckling the strap with your third arm. There are 4 points on this harness that can be adjusted to fit your dog's individual shape and size. When you first take it out of the box, put it on your dog and check to see which points need adjustment. ); easy to put on/take off; quality construction; 4 points of adjust-ability for a good custom fit. Cons: none so far (need for periodic fit adjustment is not a big deal to me). I would recommend this to a friend. I actually recommended it to a total stranger--an older lady in the pet store (without her dog) who said she has a Min-Pin she can't walk or take anywhere because he pulls her so much. My dog was standing there being an angel, wearing her Easy Walk Harness."
"However, I did have some difficulty adjusting it because. the sizing chart on amazon's page is different than the. product page."
"Owners of smaller breed dogs and the "cuter" breeds like labs and goldens, expect Bullmastiff and other scary breed owners to be in complete control of their dogs, even when their own "cute" dogs are completely out of control! When the other puppy parents questioned why they couldn't use an EASY WALK HARNESS, like Molly, the trainer explained that since Molly already responded extremely well to the harness, she could continue using it, and she didn't need a head halter! The prices at Amazon are REALLY good, way less expensive than the pet stores, so keep trying!"

The Ruffwear Front Range Harness is an everyday harness that is easy to put on and comfortable for dogs to wear. GREAT FOR PULLERS: The Front Range features two leash attachment points: one on the chest up front for more control when your pup's still training, and one on the back for more relaxed walks.

Find Best Price at Amazon"Generally, it's not a problem, but we want to take him on more hikes and outdoor adventures where he still needs to be under control, but where we have found limits with our current system of the Gentle Leader. The first time I put it on him, he acted as though it was the most natural thing in the world and immediately started trying to engage me to play and then laid down with it on :-) We have tried the harness around the neighborhood on his regular walks and have also been impressed with the control it gives us. We like the back metal ring for the leash attachment better than the front chest loop as it seems sturdier for our big guy (for reference our Lab is about 105 lbs)."
"He's a good running buddy, but during walks pulls himself into a wheezing tizzy (even on his no-choke harness). I love the bright orange which would make him stand out if we are in the woods or walking along the road (it is *very* reflective). Part of how Ruffwear pulls it off was making it from a nylon strap that is reinforced with some kind of heavy rubber. I am not sure if this is just on the small dog harnesses, but if I had a stronger breed--like a pit bull--I may be reserved about using it until I test it thoroughly. The back lead attachment is the standard Ruffwear metal loop stitched into the nylon which is very tough. When I walked him using the back attachment, he pulled but did not appear to have any issues with the harness putting pressure on his throat. Even though the front comes up higher than some harnesses, it appears the pressure is really just on the dog's shoulder and back. An excellent harness, but definitely try it out in a store first or buy online from a store that offers free returns as it may not fit every canine body type or take a couple tries to find the right size (even with measurements)."
"The padding is comfortable for the dog, and the front attachment point makes it easy to gently control the dog while refocussing it on staying beside me."

"It is easy to put on, seems to be very comfortable on my dog, and has the added safety for night time runs and walks with the inclusion of multicolored LED lights. He gets so excited and tends to pull when we exercise that after a couple months or so, at least 100 miles, a seam on the strap that goes around the neck came undone making the harness unusable."

Find Best Price at Amazon"I have held off of an activity that I love for years because I had such guilt leaving my sweet dog at home, especially since she is home alone all day while I work."
"Easy to attach...really Tighten those Screws and bring the allen wrench with you. (the only downfall of this device is the pole loosening its grip on the bike, which isn't as bad as it sounds) I attached my dogs (1 at a time of course) and started out by walking them down the street so they could see how things were about to go down. I did use the bungee to give my Golden a little extra space since he's a little skittish around bikes. *SIDE NOTE* I also bought the low rider attachment because I though my Pittie would be too strong for the original device...#1. I connected it and it made my rear tire sit crooked and rub against the bike frame."
"I like it and so do my dogs."
"You get done faster and the dog is more tired, hence you can get to work sooner or go see a movie that much quicker and maybe avoid furniture chewing from a dog with too much pent-up energy. Aggressive dogs or easily distracted dogs (two of the Boxers I take care of are easily distracted) so you may have to consider what time of day you ride to avoid too much foot traffic from other dog walkers like 6pm when everyone comes home and walks their dog at the same time. Because I have this variety of dogs to use with the Walkydog, I have to make this more flexible for the different sizes I will encounter and so I will list the equipment I use in conjunction with the Walkydog and maybe some of these items will help you with your dog. Mounting the Walkydog further back on a bike rack just a few inches works great and the bike rack attachment is almost the same diameter as the seat post so the Walkydog clamp works fine on that too. I also have to credit this in providing a slingshot effect when I have a fast dog - it provides a little boost to my bike when the dog is going so fast that I am not even pedaling! 3) I always use dog seat belt harnesses or chest harnesses on the dogs since I want them to pull with their chest and not their neck. Just walk your dog with the bike so it learns not to be afraid of it and than eventually try to ride slowly next to the dog. I have done this successfully with superslow dogs and dogs that want to go back into the future so please do not be discouraged and eventually you both will have fun with it!"
Best Dog Collars

Reviews
Find Best Price at Amazon"So far, and despite all the horror story reviews on here, my collars and remote have worked out well and were well worth the price paid. My older pup is a bit more stubborn and strong-willed, therefore the beep and vibration don't really work well for him if he's bound and determined to be mischievous. This is an exceptional training tool, and it requires a high level of responsibility and discipline from the person controlling the remote. But the other day my little pup dove straight into the creek (which was about 40 degrees at the time...lol) and then she came bounding back out of there, collar still working. It has not given me any problems since that little swim adventure, but come summertime, I can edit this review and give you a better idea of the durability under the water. But so far, the collar on my youngin has survived one submersion in the creek and countless roll-arounds in the snow and mud puddles. Otherwise, you have no idea which collar you are set on unless you look at the screen, and in a fast paced, think-quick scenario when a dog is bolting toward the road or chasing after the chubby mailman, you don't always have the convenience and luxury of taking the time to look at the screen, clicking on the (1&2) button, making sure it's on shock mode, and then administering the shock in time before your pup's standing in the roadway or nibblin' on the mailman's rear end. I would like a separate button from the other three settings (Light, Beep, Vibrate) so in case of a similar emergency as I just described, you won't have to look at the screen to be able to know whether your shocking the pup or perhaps just turning on the blinky light (which works pretty good when you lose your dog in the dead of night.). It's just not practical to create a shock collar remote and not put a lock feature on it to prevent such accidents. Petrainer made a wonderful product....but I just wanna look at the guy who designed the remote and ask him what in the world was he thinking."
"When she was in the back yard and wanted to come in she would scratch at the back door which now has holes in it because of her. She immediately knew something was wrong and stopped scratching the back door. When she got close to the street or neighbor's yards I used the vibrate function and she would turn around and come back in the yard."
"The collars seem to work great, but the collar itself is so slick that it moves on the dogs neck when they shake their heads. If they are trying to get it off, then it is turned, and doesn't make good contact, so I have to walk outside and turn the collar and make sure it i still on."
"HOWEVER. For thirty dollars - it functions, has nice smooth level transition, I actually LIKE the silicone contact covers (I'm a big fan of comfort for my dogs wearables) and I will be recommending this unit for my more price conscious training clients."
"Works great he has stopped barking and love the 3 different sizes they send for metal pieces."

Find Best Price at Amazon"After 3 1/2 years of getting along beautifully, my two girls, a Siberian Husky and a GSD/Boxer mix, decided it was time to renegotiate the role of Alpha dog. They had never fought before and when they went at each other with no warning (well, I'm sure there were signs that I, as a stupid human missed) I was absolutely terrified. Both dogs had to be sewn up and my hand ended up in someone's mouth when I tried to separate them and was pretty severely injured. I was in tears for two days, wondering how I was going to make it work long-term with three dogs, two of whom could have absolutely no contact with each other. As recommended, I held the muzzle cupped in my hand with plenty of choice treats at the bottom. Once the muzzle was seen as a treat dispenser, it was no problem to get it buckled around the dog's head. I know it's the muzzles that make the difference because when they're not wearing them, hackles are raised and they still snarl at each other through a gate. I also take the muzzles off and put up a baby gate every few hours and at meal times, just to give them a break. I was so afraid of the logistics of keeping my dogs separated while still providing plenty of love and attention and exercise to each of them."
"We took off the strap that goes over the top of his head as it doesn't seem necessary and slides to the side, and just kept the muzzle attached to his usual collar, so that it's easy to put both on at the same time when he leaves the house."
"When it is tight, like when we take him into the vet, he can't see properly. In public we do not put it on as tight because he isn't aggressive in public, more for my sanity because animals are unpredictable."
"Fido can drink water, sniff, adjust his jowels and teeth to chew treats, pant and slobber to his hearts content."
"It came very quickly and fits well on the dog I bought it for."
"I am glad it worked out because Rocky is a good guard dog and a good friend, and very polite/animal friendly."
"I think a modification for the muzzle that might make it even better would be to make the bottom loop detachable or Velcro or something so that the muzzle could be removed without having to take the entire collar off."
"After he got in a scuffle while out on a walk with a dog who was off lash and came running up to him from a yard, I decided to buy this after some research into muzzles."

Inside was a piece of paper from the company talking about the 60 day warranty, general information, and to say thank you. The tag picks up fingerprints really well and when i rubbed it on my shirt some tiny scratches popped up. Three lines looks to be a good fit for the tag size. 14-18 weeks old ish... -_-. So far she is running about the house like a missile and i think the tag is smacking her face. Ill be getting a much smaller circle thing tomorrow."
"I read the reviews of this tag before buying 2 for my dogs and completely agree."
"My cat is 8 pound and I ordered small which is the perfect size for him."
"Well made & does not scratch or wear easily."
"The only reason I only give 4 stars is bc the hole is too small for anything other than a key ring split ring. I was hoping to use the ID clips I purchased from Amazon but in order to do that I'd need to punch a larger hole in the heart tag or use a split ring plus the ID clip, and that's too much stuff to hang from their collars."
"Now, less than 6 months later, the information on the tag is all but invisible."
"No contacting me to say we can't complete your order as is."
"tag was defective but seller didn't offer a replacement bc I missed the 14 day mark."

The Whistle zone is a much better setup than what Link tried to do with "with you", "near home", and "away". If you're looking for more of an activity monitor and can deal with spotty GPS tracking than go with the Whistle."
"I took the LINK AKC because although Whistle GPS is the best option I've found so far, it has its flaws. ________________________. AESTHETICS/COLLAR. Winner: LINK AKC. One of the beauties of LINK AKC is the form factor and the fact that it comes with a matching collar. ________________________. SIZE/FIT/COMFORT. Winner: Whistle GPS. The LINK AKC collar looks like it is well made, but it is stiff leather, and it looks uncomfortable. Still, the LINK AKC unit is huge compared to Whistle GPS. _______________________. GPS. Winner: LINK AKC. The one biggest drawback to Whistle GPS is the tracking, which it does every 3 minutes. I could be more than a block away from home while walking my dog before Whistle GPS notifies me, whereas LINK AKC is right on it. _______________________. APP. Winner: LINK AKC. Both apps show tracking and activity level, but the Whistle GPS app is clunkier. "Normally he heads to a big, nearby field, but this time he crossed the road and went in a completely different direction. We live in a rural part of Washington State, with many natural barriers to signals. So, while I've been frustrated by slow GPS refresh times, and get misreads from time to time, I think it may have a lot to do with where I live."
"This means that he tends to sneak out from under us at times so the GPS function was the highlight for me... but I was so pleasantly surprised by all of the other functions that come in handy too. Alerts for temperature and if he is away from 'Home Base'... also the Adventure function is a fun tool to use when we go to new parks and explore."
