Find Best Price at Amazon"Spies, bugs, mysterious phone calls...Nancy Drew is in Scotland in the midst of espionage where the stakes are high. It was the biggest mistake in this entire game, making it mind-numbing and frustrating at times, and knocking the rating down to only 3 stars. A cavernous (and strangely deserted) train station allows Nancy to travel to three other locations, with her hotel adjacent outside. The train station, apparently, is nearly completely automated (although you get the feeling that an unseen person is actually sitting behind the ticket window...it's a bit creepy). While most of the music is good, they unfortunately included a Scottish bagpipe theme which sounded reminiscent of "Danger on Deception Island" which broke the mood. The archery shooting I also rather liked...in fact, I usually enjoy tasks in Nancy Drew games, especially involving food, so I wish they had substituted more of these for the awful puzzles."
"The new feature where you can push the conversation on was great. It used to be so frustrating waiting for characters to finish speaking when you'd finished reading seconds before them - like sharing a book with someone. My absolute favourite part was the flying fox."

That being said, I was very impressed by how much the developers worked toward creating a real visual experience- from in-game videos to intricate character animation, I think this game took a great leap forward digitally. I think there are some things that should be left untouched- I don't like the games where you are forced to come into contact with, or reveal more of, Nancy's personal life (Ransom, Alibi) as that is part of the player's imagination- what's next, they show us what Nancy looks like?"

My 4 year old grandson had a hard time remembering which icon to push to get to the next level because you could only see part of the icon--many times we kept going to the map instead of the next level. My daughter in-law's monitor is not a wide screen monitor, which is common very common now, so maybe this is part of the problem with the display not showing the whole screen for this game."
